Hi Friends
I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Summer is almost officially here. The year is going by so quickly it is amazing. 3 more months before we can come home again. With preparations to this event we are going to get increasingly busy. Different packing process for me to prepare and so on. No need to bore you with details but it will be making the remaining time here feel like a HOT breeze since it is getting so very hot and humid. July and August are really something else so that means I will be shopping quickly since there is no A/C in stores or restaurants for that matter. Only a select few has the luxury item so I will be baking a lot more loaves of bread because it is sandwich season when it gets this hot and sticky here.
So I will also be making more cards as well as some that I will be able to send to my friends when I get home and can finally use the postal system again. Boy do I ever miss that. I have never thought I would appreciate Post Offices like I have been while here. So I will have fun going to mail my cards for about 6 months and then get to take it for granted after that. That's what we do, we seem to not appreciate the simplest things we have to help our daily lives most times. That was another lesson learned while here as well.
But without any further due, let me share another one of my cards with the recipe.
Recipe
Martha Stewart pop up butterfly punch, White CS and Cuttlebug Folder Swiss Dots, such a favorite. Then for the butterflies I have used another MS punch. I punched out butterflies from all the colors I could find that looked good together, placed them on the card and adhered when in position. Oval punch from SU Stampin Up. I inked up the edge of the Happy Birthday tag. Birthday stamp was from my stash can't recall who made it. I had seen this card made in the past and always wanted to give it a go, it is easy to do. Adding some stickles to the butterflies would give it more flair.
Have a go at it too!
