Hi Friends
Shite card stock should have read White LOL, thanks Dawn for pointing that out. So much for counting on spell check before posting hee hee. Thank you again!
Here I am sitting quietly at my computer nursing a cold. Yep, I guess all the humidity in the air, the rain and coolness all ended up giving Mark and I a cold. A Summer cold, always feel more miserable because it is hot and humid so we are laying low right now, looking like two sick little love birds. Looking like we need hugs more than usual hee hee. So while I am sitting here I thought, I might as well share one of my cards with the recipe now so you get to be inspired hopefully if you are here reading this, you are probably in the mood to make cards. Here it is:
This card was another fun one to make as it has my Favorite Swiss Dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug and a Spellbinder Labels Four in 3 different sizes, 2 for the center piece and one for the label stamped Birthday Celebrations. I used some Tim Holz Distress ink "Broken China", some White Whisper and Blue from SU, an iris stamp that I colored with my prismacolor pencils and I used some OMS= Odorless Mineral Spirit, which I much prefer to baby oil. But both can be used, we just end up having preferences in the way things work. So I have cut and embossed my layers, but before removing my labels from the die cut I used a sponge and inked up the inside edges to give more depth to my layers. I also added some stickles (glitter with glue mix) I used the Crystal one inside the flower petals as well as the middle of the flower.
I hope you enjoyed this card. If you have different labels the same can be done and if you don't own a machine with any dies, the same can be done with cut out circles or any shapes you can think of. If I didn't have the Swiss Dots embossing folder I would have probably used a glossy white background and inked up the edges like the rest of the layers, for a pleasing effect

A bonus for the Weekend I have decided to add another quickie sheet for you
Gone for now, sorry
Going along with the theme of the day. A little chicken soup for the stuffy noses and a little laughter is a perfect mix for our day here.
Have fun!
Have a lovely weekend everyone, I will make sure to nurse my stuffy head and perhaps find more images to decoupage so it is all good in the end.
