As promised here is one of the two wreath cards I made this passed week. I hope you will enjoy the design and you can adapt it to your own fancy ideas. I have seen that Memory Box has a mini snowmen die cut I could insert into the wreaths but if I do make another wreath I shall use the snowmen on it.
But for the time being this one has the holly and berries from Memory Box "Mini Holly leaves" and I used the Impression Obsession branch from their wreath I have not kept the # or name of it sorry. But this little branch cut out many times can make a beautiful wreath starting with a circle frame.
The Birds I used are chickadees from Impression Obsession it is a cling stamp set of 2 birds. Colored with 3 prismacolor pencils and used Odorless Mineral Spirit on paper stump technique.
I used one of my Merry Christmas stamp from my stash, the berries larger ones were made out of a handheld mini circle punch and adhered with some super tacky white glue that dries quickly
The ribbons were purchased at the Hen House Paperie store last week and are trendy these days (inch wide) The red Silk crushed ribbon on the wreath is less than an inch wide.
Not sure if you can see the silver cardstock used as a layer behind the red CS and then layered with black CS
I hope you enjoyed this one of 2 wreath cards I recently made. Inspiration comes in different sizes, style, color, embellishment and so so much more. When I visit Pinterest and all the millions of cards to view, I find myself daydreaming about the look of a card that ressembles this one in particular then with all the cards I see in a day somehow, more ideas will come to me because of a color or better yet a stamp I have that I had never used from lack of time. But, inspiration is something we cultivate one day at a time. When I say I hope I have inspired your cardmaking mojo, if it is from the ribbon I use, great! If it is from another element, great. But, get going, make your own, try it out and if you so inclined to do so please email your rendition to me I will be more than happy to comment on yours as well,
Thank you for stopping by, reading and commenting, you are all so precious to me!
Have a happy day! Yet, make it great!
