Oh time sure is flying by as fast as I was always being told when I was a teenager, my Mom used to say, you'll see when you get older you will feel like Christmas is almost every 6 months LOL, well it took a long time for me to feel that way, but today I am sure it comes sooner than every 6 months, we get so busy and involved in our respective schedules that, the next thing we know we have another darn Birthday to add to the count LOL. But at least if I am still counting, it's good news, I would hate the alternative.
All of my British and Australian friends are very dear to me we have stayed in touch for some of them over 8 to 10 years, time flies! I just said that... So one of them just had a Birthday recently,I put together a few lines to let her know how special she is to us
So one of my dear friends was turning 70 this year, she looks so much younger than her age and she truly is young at heart. I will never forget our visit with her and Bob. When we visited Australia a few years ago now, they were so fun, so pleasant, so happy to show us around, zoo and culture part of their country, we will never forget this time we spent with them. Quiz for Trish (see photo below) smiling....
Here you can see that I have put together a Decoupage image of a bird and flowers, there was plenty of space to the left so, I decided to use one of the Cheery Lynn Designs Bird house and use some Impression Obsession 36 flowers DIE140-D and a vine die cut from my stash, sorry folks I have no name for it. But they are easy to find if you search for vine die cut. I added some peel off numbers for ther 70th Birthday and had some tiny twigs sticking out of the bird house for more interest. The middle of the flowers was pan pastel fuschia.
Thank you for coming, reading, following, commenting, being inspired. Come again soon for more cards to share for your viewing pleasure.
Laughter is so part of staying young at heart, it feels good! Trish you have that recipe down path
Before I go I wanted to share my freshly popped poppy! I planted them from seeds last May and saw them growing all Summer long, but I knew that this year I would get to see them up close for the first time at this house.
This photo was taken on May 4th, 2014 in my garden
The size of this poppy is the size of my two hands cupped together, it is a sight to see among the rest of the greenery, we can easily see it from the kitchen window. It is of a bright red/orange color. I am sure you will see that, no doubt. Time to take daiy photos of it so I can see the middle for my next poppy flowers to make out of paper.
Have a great day, mine is bright and sunny and so happy, I wish you all the same!
