A beautiful card made by a friend

I received half a dozen of extremely beautiful cards yesterday. Upon the approval to post them on here I will certainly start with Candy's card. 

I am so happy to post her card because I think this card looks very classic, simple and yet elegant, plus I love classic!  I also like the small 3D effect she inserted and the way it all comes together so very nicely.  So here it is!  Good job Candy!

Thank you Candy!  I miss our lovely bunch of crafty ladies so much.

Thursday

Well last night I ran out of ideas for 3D cards, I made the last one and asked Hubby what he thought and the answer was I like the other ones better, I got the hint!  He was so nice about it.  I already knew I didn't like my last card as I was feeling tired so it was time to stop and hang up the scissors and tape for the night.

I don't know if I will make any today but I will try.  Many things to finish today so it all depends on the time left for fun.

Creating is fun....don't strain your brain! hee hee :)

First Snow & 3D cards

Well Folks, the last thing I was missing has happened over night!  We got SNOW, yep the white stuff.  It actually looks white on the roofs and grass here.  Hubby was excited and walked right back into the house to show me the snow he had in his hand!  There is about 1/8" inch not much but enough for me.  Now I am ready for Spring hee hee. (morning photo)

It is now night time and the storm is almost here but they say it will have a concentration toward the Eastern part of the mountain so it's good news to us. (night)

Well, time to go make cards to forget about the white stuff!

This is my first card today! Since it was Jo Anne's Birthday yesterday, I will call this card "The day after the fact".  That was someone else's tube that I turned into a 3D it was my first attempt.

The white lilly card to the right. I added some lacquer to it I just like the look of it and I hope you do too!

This dress is absolutely stunning! Fun to cut out and easy to mount with silicone sealant so it doesn't end up too thick!

Here I am, posting 4 more 3D's for you.  Depending on how easy I get distracted I may come back with more!

The rocking chair reminded me of a chair we had at home when I was little.  The flowers on it adds to the charm of it.

Always inspiring to have a Napa Valley kind of scenery, I can't help but fall for this type of picture. I hope you enjoy it too.

As for this one, gardening is one of my favorite passtimes.  So it will be another easy pick for me and easy to work with as well.

I added dimensions to the center pieces with lacquer I think it gives it more pizzazz! :)

Other things I do

I hope everyone had a nice Thanks giving weekend.  Ours was great we ate too much as usual.  But we are back on track now.  I made a Christmas wreath this weekend, my very first one so allow me to share a picture of it with you.

I am back to working on cards and very soon a matter of hours I will post new ones again.  Thanks for your patience.  Be creative it's fun! :)

3D CARDS

This is a card I was picturing it with an envelope.  So I hope you enjoy.  Not sure when I will insert more photos but it will be soon.

I had to re-install Windows XP since my registry was so packed it had slowed down my computer too much so I was reduced to get it done so 12 hours later updates after updates, here I am I think all is well and I gained more speed (not me personally) hee hee but my PC did.

It was like Summer here today.  Small sleeves shirt, shorts and sandals!  Nice I like it to stay but it's not my call.  :)

More of 3D Cards

Friday has come and almost gone.  But I was able to make a few more today.  Other than having a landscaping company truck and trailer running into our light post here on the corner and running away, my day was fine.  Now I have a sore view looking at a crooked post... I wonder if the light will still work....  Security was there for half an hour stearing at it but, will it be fixed? hee hee.  Anyway, here are the cards I made today

This one was fun to make since I love bears.  Polar bears are big but also look so gracious.  I decided I would make them for the Christmas Season.

This Bon voyage 3D card was of course a treat to make since it is mostly showing this part of the country's names.

I was tempted to make another masculine card we can never have too many of those on hand.  I always hear that this is the hardest type of card to make and I can understand why.

This is it for today I guess, unless I get another creative moment, so until the next cards, be creative and smile it is contagious :)

Friday already!  Gee another week gone by, it is true time flies by when we are having fun.  Today to my surprise I received a few beautiful cards from a friend of mine Phyllis, so I took this opportunity to post some of her cards here.  If you are looking for the other cards it will all be in her album next to the post section to the right.

So here there are!

The first one to the right was made with the nice flowers we buy in bottles and she used the ink pads to add dimention to the edges of the flower.  Nice work Phyllis!

The two cards below, she told me that she found the fishes in a gift wrap roll I think it is simply adorable.

Beleive it or not, I am still cutting out a lot of 3D designs that were given to me for my personal use.  Thank you ladies.

As soon as come up with new cards you know where they will be!  Yep right here.  Once again thank you Phyllis for sharing your beautiful cards with all of our friends.  :)

A fun day!

Hello, today I plan on making a few more 3D cards.  I got my errands done for the week so it is time to get productive again. 

This one is called 3D Pyramid this technique is from a main photo cut out snaller at a regular interval 5 or 6 times and stacked up to give you this result!

Good Day friends!

Today was a productive one but better than yesterday.  Today everything seem to happen by accident but to my advantage for a change.  I also wanted to say Hi to Norma who happens to be a really talented 3D decoupage designer I met in a cardmaking group I belong to now.  Here are a few more cards for you to enjoy!

I AM BACK!

I am back indeed.  I look at the date I was here last, I am surprised it went by so quickly.  It doesn't mean I was idle, it means I was very busy preparing a load of 3D cards.    More to come? oh yes!!!!!!!

This 3D with the Blue Santa if we will is such a nice and easy one to cut and yet so pretty.  It may not be seen easily but I sprayed some glitter on the whole cards, it adds so much to it. Enjoy!

Beside doing a major clean up in my computer lately I have managed to prepare all of the 3D's you see on the picture.  2 days worth of cutting but if you are trying to count them there are about 60 individual ones.

Be prepared the cards are coming, keep on checking!

Middle of the day!

I just realized it was passed noon and I had been stuck on the computer uploading pictures all this time.  Meaning nothing I can show has been done yet.  Shame on me, I know hee hee.  Since there is another half I better organize supper in the crock pot (crafters best friend) and make the 3D I have been promising about!

3D Cards

Today I spent most of the day beside house chores, cutting out 3D sheets.  I have a total of 20 ready to put together to make cards.  I will post some tomorrow.  I doubt I will be able to make 20 but I will post what I have as I go.  Check often I will post them on the main page.

Magnificent sunset last night

Last night while I was making supper from the corner of my eye I could see bright orange mixed with blues and yellows.  I was taken aback by the sunset.  It happens in my kitchen side of the house. Out of 10 pictures, I had one that is shareable. I had forgotten in my excitement that I would see myself in the pictures being behind the window.... DUH!  But I have one....

Showing off a few cards

Monday a day I usually am very busy in all areas.  But today I wanted to start my day with showing off two cards I received from a friend of mine.  Of course I will post them on here.  When we got back from the Grand Canyon trip the two cards were in the mailbox waiting for us to open.  So here they are!

What a beautiful card. Thank you! We both enjoyed it.

This one was also a nice one with a technique behind the embossed stamped work.  I will have to look at it more closely later on.

Back from the Grand Canyon

We are back!  What a trip we had.  The only negative thing that happened was that we had a very bad bed after putting so many dollars for a special room.  We probably slept 3 hours, while hubby's feet were out of the bed the whole night.  We will have something to tell our grandchildren one day hee hee.

Well I am here sitting at my computer sorting through all of the pictures we took while on our trip.  There are 100's of them no total yet but will have a lot of work to do.  The weather was excellent and probably warmer than what is usually expected at this time of the year.

Will be back tomorrow with some pictures.

Productive Day!

Already Thursday!  How time flies when you are having fun!

Here is a card I just received in the mail what a beautiful card Jo Anne thanks!

Last night I uploaded so many new pictures to the weblog.  I also created new photo folders.  So browse around there is plenty to see and get ideas for your future projects.

  I made this card this morning.  Last night I stamped a bunch of the Sassy Stems set (SU) and used the watercolor technique.  First thing today I decided I was going to finish them, I picked my colors and this is the first one I made.

I also was in the mood to play with glitter and sponge daubers to add some dimension to the cards. 

That was my third one.  So you can see the three flowers part of that set.  Watercolor technique makes it pop up nicely.  I used the Stampin'Up punch to snip off the corners.  So that was the work for today.  I hope you enjoy!

Time to pick up the mess I made, time was running out this week since we are getting ready to leave tomorrow for the weekend.  I should bring back stunning photos from that trip.  In the meantime, have a nice weekend!
