MORE 3D shares from my own sheets

Hi Friends

I am so happy someone else got the bug of the 3D mania.  Welcome to the group Rose.  I already posted 3 cards yesterday of her frogs of different colors.  Last night I received many of her cards that she had said she was finishing up before sending them all to me.  Well she definitely delivered, I am so amazed by look of those cards.  Thank you Rose.  Here are the cuties:

         

  Rose it is totally gorgeous I love them all I can't even pick a favorite.  I will have to try the EGG I like it so much when I saw this one I had to 3D it immediately.  So I hope it is an easy one to make so it is one used by many people for Easter.  I hope by creating a new Sub-Folder for Easter will make your search a lot simpler for the Easter 3D finds.

Rose also used the polymer clay little butterflies and bees what a great idea!!!!!!  I have so many cut out in a jar I should put them to use myself.  She also used some egg stickers the same eggs that Jo Anne had used for her beautiful basket cards I posted a few days ago.  What a nice effect!  I love all the colors!

Colored paper flowers were also added and the green grass reminds me of when I was ordering sushi in Sunnyvale California some restaurant or even the Japanese Markets were using that on their sushi decorations and/or in the prepared sushi at the market.  I used to collect them too.  I like the look of grass it creates, great idea Rose!

These beautiful cards are made with Stampendous stickers or commonly known as peel offs.  I like the effect of the hologram in the eggs of different designs.  The green and blue are giving these cards a very pleasant contrast.

Rose, thank you so much for sharing I already know I will get a lot of beautiful comments.  I wish the comment box would be used more often this way I won't have to relay compliments back and forth hee hee.  Call me the messenger LOL

3D CARDS from a friend

Hi friends

I have had quite a busy day today so I will post the wonderful looking cards I received today.  Thank you Rose for sharing your 3D cards with us.  There are 3 cards with the same 3D design but with different colors.  So here they are!

   

As we can see different colors can easily be used for the same design especially when you have many to make of the same design.  It takes the boredom away from seeing the same thing all over. Well today I won't be at home much so I decided to post before bedtime so I can forget about the blog while I am out in the town tomorrow.

I have received a card picture from Jo Anne.  She has been busy with Easter cards for sure.  So here it is for your enjoyment as well as perhaps some last minute ideas for Easter cards.

LUCIE NEWS:  Well everyone who have sent a card to my sister to encourage her with her cancer, I spoke to my niece today and she confirmed that Lucie was sending thank you cards to each one of you.  As I was talking to her she asked me how I wanted the pictures of the cards taken so I told her so eventually I will start getting pictures of them by email from my niece.

Well this is all the links for now.  My other links of interest are mostly for PSP goodies because I am a PSP addict.  PSP stands for Paint Shop Pro a graphic software that allows working on pictures or creating your own art with the help of plugins.  But I will stop here just in case I scare a few of you.  I am now working with PSP10 the best I have worked with since PSP5.  I had fun selling it last year at the store, I am considering changing to PSP11 I personally think that moving along and not get stuck to ancient versions has many advantages.  It is like languages I used to speak 3 lanquages but from not practicing I only know 2 fluently now.  French and English.  So when I need to work on another computer that has an earlier version I don't feel totally lost.  So this is it for now, if I get more cards to post today I will be sure to add them on here.  Check back later.

Here I am early in the day trying to get the blog going.  I received more card pictures from Jo Anne last night.  Woooohooooo!  Thank you Jo Anne.  I am so glad.  She made some beautiful Easter cards for her friends so she is sharing them with us as well.  So here they are:

These are the 3 baskets made the same way the only difference is the card itself and possibly the eggs in the baskets.  She used some 3D stickers and added them behind the basket after having cut out the baskets first.  Yellow, green and pink cards were used beginning from left to right.  I find it hard to tell what color is what sometimes.  These cards are gorgeous, were cleverly made!

If there is someone you know that isn't participating in the Easter tradition then Jo Anne came up with this alternative basket card by making it look like a Spring card so this person still gets a card!

I had posted many of the beautiful cards that Diane had prepared for my sister a little while back.  I decided to take pictures of them here the way I take pictures of my cards to show you all the beauty of her cards to give them justice in a wonderful way so here they are!

Diane makes such beautiful cards.  I received some cards to send to my sister and I was stunned by how much more brilliant they are all when you are actually holding them in your hands.  I also found out one little trick from her that I don't think she will mind my sharing with you.  She uses tracing paper instead of vellum.  The birthday card is a perfect example of that and it looks so much more delicate looking.  I think I will also adapt this little trick.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart Diane!  Will write later :)

MONDAY happy to report good news!

Hi friends

Well today I will begin with great news.  Lucie received her surgery results and she was told that there was no cancer left they removed the culprit lump and scratched around to remove all cancer, they also check the glands nearby and that too was perfectly ok.  No cancer were found anywhere else but in the lump.  So she is waiting for the specialist to tell her which treatment is the best in her situation.  Chemo or radiotherapy.......so we were all excited about the good news today.

Lucie also said (my Dad relayed the message to me) She will answer each and everyone of you individually for your words of encouragements along with your definite talents in cardmaking.  So that's that for the news that we were all waiting for.  So about the card pictures I am not sure if I will ever get them but I will play it safe by not waiting for them.

I have received another beautiful card from Diane and this one is a rare thing to us in general a card for a MAN!!!!!!!!!  Yippee.  It is a retirement card and I will let you see the rest.

Diane sent us a beautiful manly card for a Happy Retirement.  She made this one for her ex-boss for a group of them.  He is retiring so who better than to ask Diane for a great card!

Sunday's card share!

Hi Everyone

What a beautiful Sunday after the stormy weather we have had in the past few days.  The sun is back! Yippee!  Well, I had the pleasure to open my email and find 2 more gorgeous cards I'd like to post for you today.  Before I do I would like to thank the two ladies who made it possible for you to view other ideas on 3D.  One is about Anniversary and the other a Birthday!

Hi Diane, another beautiful card from you, thank you girl!  It is simply adorable I am sure you will spend another special Anniversary tomorrow.  For that reason I wanted to make sure I wish you and John a romantic and fun day for your 41st!  Congratulations you two!

I have the pleasure to post another one of Diane's wonderful 3D cards

Diane used the Morning glory 3D sheet from my Photobucket.  She really enjoys flowers like me so she had fun making this one as well.  She used a lace punch for the middle stripe, and used some shimmering background in the green if I can remember what I read, finished with some peel offs and we have a beautiful Birthday card!

NOTE:  As for some of my sister's news, I know from a third party that she has received hoodles of cards.  I have no idea what is her reaction toward this mountain of mail.  She is determined to not speak to me directly. (no time to waste on that topic thank you) I know her surgery went well, they took a lump and some additional tissue to see how far the cancer has gone. Will undergo chemo treatments shortly and that's the extent of what I know.  I am at this time somewhat disappointed in the outcome.  Sorry ladies I was hoping I could tell you more but my hands are tied.  :(

Busy Thursday

Hello friends!

I was so busy today that I just realized now that I have not added anything today.  What a shame!  Slapping wrist while typing. hee hee

I will see what I can add tomorrow.  I gave some time to my 3D sheets today I added 7 to the bucket if you are interested.  I added something but it wasn't here.  So tomorrow is another busy one and I will do my best to add new cards for you.

3D CARD

Hi Friends

I sort of took a day off today to work out and do errands.  I have received another beautiful card from Diane and I have a card here that I know it is from one lady I know but I can't remember who it is from.  If you do recognize your card, please let me know so I can add your first name to it.  So here are the cards

Another beauty from Diane.  I rarely see Christening cards but this one is worthy of sharing.  I don't think I have ever seen a peel off with the word Christening yet.  I have a full shoe box of them.  Peel offs here are a rare and difficult thing to find.  There is one in New York but his stickers are so cheaply made that if you pull to undo a tangle gently it will tear apart guaranteed.  The other ones I have are truly of a quality I would love to find in USA. 

Diane your card is stunning!  I am sure that little Mum will be so happy with her card.  She is lucky!

Here is the card without a name

I found this card in my recently saved folder and I can't think for one second who made this one.  If you do recognize your work raise your hand LOL.  Please tell me that it is your card.

I thought the flowers were really colorful as well as the dru embossing with holes cut out with the craft knife.  I use that technique a lot myself so I thought I should post it to give more ideas with our not often used enough stencils.

I have a little bit of news to report about my sister Lucie. 

My Dad wrote to me today after undergoing a surgery himself too for 3 hernias.  That was last Friday and he is starting to be able to sit without being in too much pain and he says he walks like he is 100 and some years old and slow paced no doubt.

My Sister had her cyst removed that was already diagnosed with cancer.  They also took other tissues in the area to check if the cancer has spread.  Then in a little bit she will have to start chemo.  He said he hasn't heard from her since his own surgery.  He will let me know when he gets anything else to report.

Cards are still coming in that's all we can say for now.  But I am still saying thank you so much for your generous participation.  I wish I knew what her reaction is with all of the cards pouring in but I will have to be more patient.

More beautiful cards!

Hi friends

Here I am on Tuesday morning, being swamped with a lot of little things I have pushed aside for 2 weeks.  Time to clear up some of it so the pile doesn't get any higher.  I also received more beautiful cards from Valerie.  Thank you for sharing your beautiful work with us once again.

 

Valerie used an embossing machine one of many kinds on the market.  Seach for embossing apparels or machines.

The cards are somewhat similar but see how many different looks we can get by changing just a few details.  The butterflies were made from a die cut machine and she curled the wings to give more dimension it really does look pretty.  Thank you for sharing Valerie.

LUCIE'S NEWS - No update yet.  I can't get in touch with anyone, I feel I am under a silent vail.  Hopefully soon the silence will be broken so I can let you all know how things are going. I know she has received a lot of cards but all the questions I have asked have remained unanswered as of today.

Monday shares

Hello everyone

Already Monday, where did the weekend go?  Wow, why is it I feel the clock is cheating me of a few hours every day.  Heck it feels like Christmas is here every 6 months now.  What's up with that?  We get older then time gets out of our control? Is that the deal? LOL  or is it that we get slower? hee hee hee Never mind don't answer that hee hee.

My Dad had his surgery and is well the only thing is he is very sore and can't sit long so there goes my news from my sister Lucie and his own for that matter.  But I am determined to let you know any development.  So continue to come and check for the news every day.

I received more beautiful cards yesterday late in the day so I thought I will keep those cards to begin the week with.  The 2 ladies that shared more cards today are Phyllis with some Japanese quilting technique cards and Diane with some of her 3D cards.  Thank you Phyllis and Diane.

Phyllis also made the beautiful frame with roses yesterday it was posted if you saw it, I need to make a correction of the color used for the card itself.  Although when I look at it with my tired eyes it looks like black and now it still looks black but really the color Phyllis used is dark blue.  Cameras can be deceiving!

This card seem to me as it is green.  3 squares were used on this card, the foam was added between the stiff board and the washi.  She then added some black floss looking like tassels.  Matted the squares, she added some peel offs and another beautiful card was born!

This card is another one made with the great looking Japanese Quilting technique.  This time we have fake buttons.  It is gorgeous I really like this washi paper pattern (Japanese maple leaf) very pretty.  Nice choice Phyllis.  I approve hee hee.  I love the colors you chose to mat the buttons with and the organza ribbon and she added a simple peel off Happy Birthday with flowers.  Simple and gorgeous!

I am so amazed to see how popular Japanese Quilting technique has gotten I get emails about it all the time.  Some people have a hard time even finding Washi paper, mizuhiki cord and special card stock we are using beween Phyllis and I giving you examples of this technique.

If you are here in the USA go to www.Hankodesigns.com they have packages of washi paper pre-cut in squares.  They sell kits to make the Japanese quilting technique with instructions.  The instructions are here in the folder called Japanese Quilting.  I will try and take a picture of a kit for you and post it soon.  So you get to see what you get for your money.  I think he also does international delivery.  Just ask him. 

Or just Google Washi paper see what it gives you for options.  Enjoy!

Now let see what Diane sent us for today?  Thank you so much Diane.  You are like a card manufacture even if I tried to keep up with you I don't think I could make more cards in one day!  I can tell you are enjoying what you do!  It is always beautiful.

The 2 cards from Diane are about Engagement.  Someone close to her just got engaged recently and she made a card for them from her and her Mom.

It looks so darling with the glasses of champagne it looks real.  I can see the bubblies.  hee hee I have a fertile imagination sorry. hee hee

I can see you used a matching vellum background then used some peel offs to additional embellishment.  I like the way you use the vellum on your cards.

Sunday's Card shares

Yesterday was a full day around here and I am glad all my chores are done.  I also received beautiful 3D cards from Diane and one from Phyllis (Japanese Quilting) she made it for my sister Lucie.

Here they are:

Starting with Diane's

This card was made by Diane it is the 3D in my photobucket if you are interested in getting it.  THe back ground and burnt edges are with the grape image.  THe adding of little flowers to the corner and punching out the right hand side corners are adding to the card, she always knows just when enough is great!  She added a get well soon and this card is another one for Lucie, you are very generous Diane and thank you for your sharing your wonderful creations.  It is well appreciated of all of us!!!!

This is another pyramid 3D card with lillies she added her famous little flowers aroung the design and created a frame with a corner punch.  "I love that punch"

The next card is made by Phyllis, I am so thrilled about this card.  It is made with washi paper (Japanese made specialty paper)  she made a little frame using the foam in between to make it look like a pillow then she added the cutest flower bouquet in the center of it. Wow what a brilliant look Phyllis!  I can see my sister Lucie smiling when she gets this card.

What a beautiful addition to Lucie's Showering her with love project!  I mean if all the cards she receives for the ones I have seen so far are not creating a permanent smile on her face I don't what will. 

Still no news!!!!!!!

Phyllis used some Hanko Designs card stock in black for the card and some Gold cord from Stampin'Up to tie up the roses together and used a circle punch to add some interest behind the roses.  She used some peel offs for the Thinking of you sentiment.

Hi friends

May the luck of the Irish be with you!  Are you going to drink a Green Guinness today?  Is there something you do each year to celebrate Patties day?  I like to watch shows about Irish history, customs, I try to learn more each year.  Their music is beautiful, their people friendly and their grass so green!

I have 3 cards to share on this special day!  It will be in honor of St-Patrick's Day keeping the theme going for the day.  Thank you Valerie for sharing your 3 beautiful cards.

The first card:  Valerie chose to use a ribbon punch to cut slits to pass the green ribbon through and accented it with a matted sentiment, also added shamrocks and a saying for the occasion, very nice.

The second card: This one was just stamping with metallic confetti shamrocks added with mounting tape.  As all the stamps were unmounted see through stamps I just arranged them on my acrylic block and stamped everything at one time.  Then I added the confetti.

The third card: For this one I used 2 stamps and scattered the shamrock confetti using mounting tape.

Thank you so much Valerie.  I do appreciate your cards and the time you took to send them to me.  Have a great weekend.

Note:  I don't recall even telling anyone on my blog how I feel about hand made cards in general.  I take this opportunity to tell you that for me, in my view, or call it my opinion, my 2 cents, there is no card I have seen yet that was not worthy of posting.  Why?  Because I truly think that we express ourselves through our craft, hobbies and things we can express ourselves with, which translates as a mirror of our soul.  This card making obsession of mine now for 6 years, has brought me some of the happiest moments I will keep with me until the day I die.  I have seen and got to know so many mirrors, friends, souls, but most importantly, learned from each and everyone of you.  Through your work, words, encouragements, shares, each day is new and brings surprises that I will always want to share with you

Hey I can call it:  I am truly blessed with beautiful people in my life. This is why I like to share knowledge, experience, and like to listen and grow with you all.  Thank you for reading my blog as well as sharing your cards.  Just know from my heart it is appreciated more than I can express.

Well I went for my work out and back.  I had to be back.  I was sick this week and I am just getting my strength back so training today was all but a snap!  I looked more like I was there for photos.  Hardly able to move hee hee hee.  Oh well.  I'll get there.  My perky and cheery self is back though, so watch out!

Now time to send the two beautiful cards I received from Diane in my email while I was gone she sneaked two more in there for me when I wasn't looking.  hee hee hee

There is a card for my sister Lucie for the shower of cards mission and the other one is for her Birthday coming up at the beginning of April.  Diane you are one in a million, on behalf of my sister thank you!

Friday.....Latest news!

Hi Friends

Here are some updates it is not much but my sister is now at home as she left the hospital last night.  I got a quick note from my Dad this morning as he was in a rush to get to the hospital for his own surgery.  So he told me I will give you more updates as soon as I am back home and awake.  By now a lot of cards are pouring in to her mailbox ladies!

As for card posting today I just fresdhly received some cards from Diane, I told you I would try to get some smiling material and there it was waiting in my email to share.  I have two new cards to post so here they are, enjoy!  I may have more later but this is beautiful!  Thanks Diane!

This beautiful card from Diane was made by using the 3D pyramid technique.  It is many layers getting smaller as you get to the top later.  Brilliant Diane.

This card is made with the 3D method.  If you want flowers similar to this go to my photobucket I keep adding on a daily basis or I try to.  But there is close to 400 designs to chose from and just as many vellum sheets and some tea bags have been added lately.

I am so happy to tell you that I received more beautiful 3D cards and this time from Lorraine.  Thank you for the wonderful shares, I am enjoying all of them so all of you as well.

Wednesday with another YET beautiful 3D card!

Hi friends

I had trouble with Gmail most of the afternoon and when I was finally able to read my mail I almost deleted this card by accident I am so glad I listened to my gut that said go back and look again.  You will understand why I was so glad I didn't delete by mistake.

On this card I will just copy word per word what Rosemary's card description is.

Rosemary made this beautiful card and I encourage comments since that I seem to have fixed whatever was blocking it's usage.  I added an album under your name Rosemary.  All your cards are in it.

I know what you mean Rosemary I am a pack rat myself but just when it comes to crafts.  My husband is even helping this craziness of mine by asking me if I want to keep envelopes for iris folding LOL.  Sometimes I find little piles of elastic mysteriously and meticulously placed so I have to ask him if he did put it there for a purpose?  He usually says I thought you might need this one day on your cards LOL.

UPDATING ON LUCIE'S SURGERY YESTERDAY:   I received the news that she came out of surgery just fine all went well but she won't get results for a while yet.  She will be in the hospital at least until Friday so that is reassuring.  My niece (one of her daughters) told my Dad that she has already started to receive cards in the mail.  So this is such a nice timing....she said she will bring all the mail to her on Thursday when she visits her Mom.  That's all for now.

SECOND POST TODAY - LUCIE'S NEWS and 3D CARD POSTING

Hi friends!

I will start by thanking some of you for sending more cards today.  UPDATE NEWS - My sister is undergoing a mastectomy (spelling) today.  I didn't know it was so soon but I like the fact that she is getting it done and the normal procedures after this surgery is chemo.  So needless to say she will come home to cards starting to come in for her.  What a perfect timing!  The news are not coming in as regularly as I would want them to but I will continue to update you on what is happening.  Now more than ever she needs family support as well as knowing that we are all praying for her.  She is not alone thanks to all of your generous souls!

Well I received more cards today, you ladies are the bomb!  I love it!  Keep them coming I am getting great reviews from your participation and coming from me, I am thanking you from the bottom of my heart.

This beautiful card is from Tricia.  I must tell you I had to crop the picture a little since it needed to be readjusted for a best view on here.  I also had to clip the right hand side of the card which the corners were beautifully punched out.

Monday Second Post - 3D CARDS

Hi friends

I found some extra time to post more gorgeous cards.  These cards are from another talented lady!  Her cards are also very creative, innovative, there is always something in her work that tickles my fancy!  Thank you Diane.

As I said before over and over again I am a flower lover!  I think there is no ugly looking flower we have the best of tools to make them all gorgeous with our creativity.  Roses and pansees are fabulous and the way Diane framed them gave the flowers life.  The last card is weaved and that too the way it was presented is absolutely brilliant!  Thank you Diane!  Have a great day my friend.   

Well after all the cards posted here today, I hope one or more have managed to make you say to yourself Oh!  I should try this technique with this stamp or a 3D design.  If so!  Please share it with us!

Monday shares

Hi Friends

First I want to thank special people that took part in my special project called "Showering Lucie with cards".  A few days ago I started this project which anyone can enter.  It is to send a card to my sister that has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  She has had a hard time coming to term with the news and what is to come.  I thought since we are all making cards from scratch, I think it is nice to find a good cause to send a card to a stranger that you will cheer her spirits up no doubt!  So if you are interested in participating you have until Friday this week to email me and ask for her address. 

I will make sure to keep you posted on her reaction.  She has no computer otherwise I would have given you an email address to encourage her that way, but at this time she doesn't have a computer so our only mean to communicate our encouragements and words of wisdom is via our wonderful cardmaking talents.  Who knows we might end up converting her into being part of this craft as well.

Thank you to all of you who already sent your cards last week.  Come back soon I will give you more news on her frame of mind.

The cards I am posting are coming from Jo Anne and it is for Mother's Day!

Thank you Jo Anne for once again fantastic looking cards.  It is always a pleasure to post them so we can share them to our friends.

The first card is covered with shimmering vellum Thes cards without the vellum look like the second photo.  Jo Anne wanted to show the comparison of both.  As you can see the cards are composed of dark colors so she can easily use a vellum without hiding her card's look.  It is clever Jo Anne thanks.

Well here are the 4 cards Jo Anne sent.  I think the 3rd card looks fantastic with the use of fancy scissors she used them on the edge and on the matting that looks like it belongs!

The last card but not least, I think using our punches on our cards gives us another way or look you sure gave me more ideas with scalopped punches.  Punches and scissors can easily make a nice team.

I have more cards to post.  Although I am enjoying this I might not have enough time to get them in today.  I will try though.  The wonderful 3D cards I have received are from Diane a wonderful lady and so loving, caring and let's not forget talented.  These cards are special to me.  I will let you know why in a week or so.  But, in the meantime Diane, I will try and add them to my marvelous collection of cards.  I will also add them to my bucket.  I have opened a new album called cards made with misc 3D sheets.  So when the cards shared are not made from my own sheets I will add them in that folder.

Sunday out shopping all day!

Beautiful cards made by Jo Anne

Hi friends

What a beautiful Saturday it was here.  Mark and I went for a walk it was in the high 70F no wind, no dust and a little clowded over so not too much sun in our eyes.  Perfect walking weather.  I saw a few plants in bloom and got into thinking gee Spring is almost here so no wonder buds are pushing out to give us some nature beauties.  Spring is fun!

Well as for the pleasant task of sharing cards with you.  I have cards that Jo Anne sent me she has been busy making Easter cards for a charity sale coming up soon in her area.  So there they are:

Jo Anne stamped her 30 some cards ahead of time getting them ready to color with markers, she has a fairly impressive Easter rubber stamp collection.  The cards are so very colorful and so very well done Jo Anne thanks for sharing your work once again!

Thank you Jo Anne for the beautiful cards you shared.  I can tell you were quite busy making so many but we can understand why when we see your work!

I am so happy and honored to have received so many cards to post on here for ideas and your admiration.  Rosemary was so generous she sent quite a few cards today.  Thank you my friend.  I can't pick a favorite although I have a weakness for flowers.

FRIDAY!!!!!!!! YIPPEE!

Hi friends!

I must start by telling you about the overwhelming response on my yesterday's message.  My intention to send a SHOWER of cards to my sister Lucie is getting a lot of attention.  I already mentioned she has been diagnosed with breast cancer last week and is not accepting it at all.  So, the goal is to make her feel showered with cards to let her know she is not alone and perhaps survivors of any cancer will have words of wisdom for her. 

To all of you who have sent cards yesterday and for until next Friday, I thank you so much for your generosity and caring to this meaningful issue and concern of mine to help her get on with her treatments with a much better positive attitude therefore helping for a successful recovery!

If you are interested in participating it is NOT too late.  Send me an email and I will give you her address.  The more the merrier!

As a result, when she starts realizing how serious of a mailing she is getting I will get the reactions from my Dad since she has no computer. As soon as I get any comments I will post them here to the blog.  Please be sure to log in every day. 

I have people from Canada, Australia, UK, California already participating, let widen up the circle if we can.  Thank you, and lots of hugs to all the participants.  It is so awesome!

Thursday and feeling goooood!

Hi folks!

I am so thrilled, one of my friends Diane offered to send a card to my sister to encourage with her cancer treatments.  Then from her idea I suddenly thought mmmmm perhaps I can ask everyone I know to send a card to Lucie so we can SHOWER her with love and positive feelings!  In order for it to work and have a surprising effect all the cards should be sent by the end of next week.  If you are interested to participate you will send your card to Canada, so prepare for the stamp accordingly, from USA is will cost 63 cents from Europe I am not aware.  If someone can send a comment giving me the amount that will be required to send it there please do not hesitate.

In the meantime, I made another 3D card with my own sheet.  I hope you enjoy!

The background of this card was made with the help of a brass stencil (Dry embossing technique) then once I had my embossing done I used the craft knife to cut and trim the tiny windows around it and then cut around the whole shape.  Then used a sponge finger dauber and rubbed blue ink around on the embossed surfaces.

I have attached a blue glossy card stock to the back of the shape.  Then added the blue rose to the middle of it.  I then proceeded with the peel off corners and lines.

I will keep this card open for any occasion whenever needed.  This is why there is no sentiment on the card yet.

3D CARDS on an OUCHY day!

Hi friends

Well today was my first day of real training at Curves! OUCH!!!! I am so out of shape I feel all of my lazy muscles all over.  So I definitely need to persevere.  They were sending me to drink water every 10 minutes LOL.  I made it home and went straight to making more cards, I hurt enough to sit still hee hee hee

Well my card today is a special card!

This card is a special card as I mentioned up above.  My sister has been diagnosed with breast cancer last week.  She is not taking the news well at all so I hope this will perk her spirits up.  From all the people I heard from that went through cancer of any kind, they all said the same thing and I beleive healing is made of 95% positive attitude and 5% of treatments.

So I hope she comes to term with this bump on the road and realize that she can beat this.  Besides, with all the new medicine, treatments available, especially recently all the new breakthrough, surviving breast cancer in her case the odds are so much greater than 25 years ago.  So hang on to positive attitude sis, it will carry you through just fine!  Good luck!

So many people are already praying for your recovery, including me!

Tuesday's 3D shares

Hello Gang!

Here I am, after a few days of rest I was able to complete 2 cards WOW!  LOL no biggy but to me it was since I felt I was totally washed out of any ideas.  But today I got up with my head hee hee hee.  It pays off when it happens!

For the encouragement messages that came in in the past week I say Thank you! Thanks for the sweet thoughts toward my blog as well as who is participating in sharing cards, to name a few Jo Anne and Phyllis.  I have had a few more requests regarding cards to be shared on this blog.  The answer is yes I will post reasonable amount of cards you send me and will reserve the right to decide which one will be shared all dependind on the amount of cards sent in one day.

Thank you Carole for the Wedding Card you sent for sharing today.  I think it is simply adorable, I definitely like it as I am sure I will get more emails on positive comments.

I will start with Carole's card

Carole, this wedding card is beautiful it has just enough elements to deliver the message in this case being a wedding wish.  We are not sure who the decoupage sheet belongs to but the backing vellum was off the Joanna Sheen cd and I stamped and heat embossed the Wedding Wishes.

My 3D cards are following

These 3D cards were made with my sheets located in my photobucket, the link is at the top right hand side of this page.

I used once again my dry embossing stencil to create my oval frame, cut the inside, added another matching pattern matching backing, I had some rub ons flowers so I added a few around the card.  I made a few flowers with some punches added a white center to all of them, adhered all of them around the oval frame, from that moment the card was coming to life with the flowers.  Added peel offs corners and the card was done.  I hope you like it!

This second card made out of my 3D sheets was fun to make.  I used some Mulberry paper (off white) then added some Memory two sided card stock for the matted polka dot pink then added a contrasting color of cardstock where I sat the child clown onto, the peel offs corners, lines and Happy Birthday.  A gingham purple ribbon and a peel off heart completes the card nicely.

Quiet Monday

Hi friends

Well I decided to take a few days off from everything.  I needed it and felt deserved.  I also joined Curves so I will have to get back into shape, I like the program, it is straight to core of muscle building again.  It will hurt before it gets better hee hee hee

I have tried to make a few cards today but only started nothing has seen the finish line.  Although I wasn't successful with cards I made a lot of new flower 3D sheets.  I added them to my bucket as I picked all the flower 3D and put them in the flower album as it should be.  I also made a few vellum to match which some I am still impressed with the results.

So tomorrow I should get back here posting something to see.  My bucket need a password to have access to it.  If you want it just email me and I will send it to you.  The only thing I ask is to keep it to yourself.  If your friends want the password do not take it upon yourself to pass in on for me.  I will find out and will change the password all over again.  So please respect my one rule and we are all going to be happy.

So check my bolg again tomorrow you will have something to look at.

3D CARD

Hi friends

I made another 3D with one of my sheets.  Another one that was really fun to make.  Especially when I finally got the idea to add a feather to the mask it dressed it up in an instant and I thought that's enough now stop hee hee.  I wish I had that stop word come to my head more often.  Here is the card and possibly more depending on how much time I get today.

Another 3D yet never enough!

Once I pulled the mask together I added some glue glitter to the fancy designs on her face.  What is in the background behind the 3D?  It is Mulberry paper shredded with the help of a line of water and pulled out gently so I was left with fiber sticking out like a bad hair day!  The rest of the fluffy stuff is the feather.  It took no time to cut out and no time to put together, added some peel offs to dress it up and Voila!  Another card to share.

Birthday cards to share

Hello Friends!

Yesterday was a friend's Birthday (Alice) and our group got together at lunch time for her.  Jo Anne was very sweet to send me the pictures of the event.  With those pictures surprisingly enough there were cards!!!!! hee hee hee

Here are the cards!

Valerie - What a beautiful and clever card you made for Alice.  Thats is something I would definitely want to try.

I understand you had to made a few slits in the hat to pass the ribbon through and then once it was in position you secured it all with a brad.  Wow!  Way to go girl!

Sue - What a breath of fresh air card you made.  I recognize the Stampin'Up set.  I just love the beautiful way the flowers are spreaded around it makes us want Spring to hurry and arrive.  Thanks for letting me post it here for sharing.  :)

Rose -  I love the mix of embellishment on this card.  I can recognize the little sequin flowers put together with the beads.  You carefully framed your square with some peel off which add some dimension and interest to your middle piece not forgetting to mention the peel off butterfly that was mounted on to a matching card stock.  Simply beautiful and I am sure ideas will be born from your card!

Linda - Awwwww so so darling!  That really makes me want Summer to get here!  I love cherries so each time I see cherries in any kind of media YUMMY!  I like the corner punches you used it really makes the card pop up after seeing the cherries there is another point of interest to see.  It is such a fresh looking card!
