3D sheets added

Hi Friends

I had a chance to make a few 3D in my favorite folder today check out the flower folder.

Instead of Stampin' Up cards for today I am going to add just as great looking cards and this time they come from Di.  So here they are:

Di once again you have made brilliant cards for all of us to enjoy 4 totally different cards for 4 different occasions it is absolutely cleverly done.  Thank you for sharing.  I am sure I am not the only gal that appreciates a good thing when I see it.

Thank you for the comments Jo Anne.  As for answering your questions. 

About the cherry blossom paper, it is not Hanko made, here is the info: Reminisce is the name and the website is www.designsbyreminisce.com The paper name is UNITY and close to this it says WEDDED BLISS.  Could be the collection name.  But I am sure if you look it up it has to be somewhere on their website with possibly more to choose from.

As for the leaves.  Here is how I made them. 

1. Find a vellum sheet or tracing paper.  Choose 4 Fall colors that the leaves normally turn into.  Take 4 finger daubers for each ink pad.  Start with the lightest color of your 4 and daub by sliding gently the dauber across small sections at a time of your paper in a random fashion. 

2. Same with the second color, 3rd and 4th.  I made sure I would cover all my sheet already knowing ahead of time which leaf stamp I would use and how much of it I would need. A quick math calculation will save you time by making sure you finish it with enough leaves and ideally 2 or 3 spare ones.  So do as much as you will need (half a sheet, more or less).  I also made sure I would in some spots smudge some red in a random fashion as well.  The red will make the leaves more realistic (but a little goes a long way).

3. That work was done on one side of the vellum (tracing paper).  Now turn it around to do the stamp work.

4.  With your leaf stamp and embossing ink, carefully stamp side by side all your leaves, I usually do 2 rows at once.  I emboss in gold, set it with the heat gun, and continue the same way until the whole sheet is done.

5. Last step, when it all feels dry, take the scissors and cut around the outside golden edges of the embossing work you have done.  Now you are ready to make a card with your leaves, the sky is the limit.

Friday and I have cards to share with you

I have a few cards I made this week and I'd like to share them with you.

Here they are:

It is once more how to make different cards with about the same material changing slightly the colors or the sentiment.  In this case I made a few with the Thanksgiving theme, Birthday theme as well as the famous Thank you.  I played with the peel offs gold and silver.  The cherry blossom paper and the circle pattern paper was intended for wedding invitations it has a little glimmer to it so I thought it would be perfect for a more conventional type of card and the Happy Birthday cards with the Fall leaves were made out of a vellum sheet that I finger daubed with Fall colors randomly until the sheet was saturated.  Then stamped embossed with gold, cut out all of them.  This card can be used for a man's birthday card!

Thursday with yet more card shares

I am so happy to be able to present yet again today, more beautiful cards that were shared with me and it is my turn to share them with you.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.  We have cards from Jo Anne and Di.

Di your cards are absolutely brilliant.  I do think that the flower pots on the balcony are exactly what was called for.  It looks like they were in the picture to begin with so when you told me you weren't sure it looked nice there I was giving the flower pots a second look.  It is looking fabulous!

I also like this Anime girl on the long card stock with the peel off on each side.  Great job Di!

Wednesday shares from Liz in Australia

I am so happy to have received some cards from Liz after coming back from her holidays she got around to making more cards again. I am so thrilled to post them here for all of you to enjoy.  I think all the cards are so stylish and different I know I immediately got an idea for another card because of one of your cards.  Thank you for the inspiration given from your beautiful cards.

   

 So ok I will say this is my favorite one of all.  I like the way it looks like inside the card.  It sure looks like a lot more work but if it is for a special person in our life it is all worth the extra work.  It is absolutely gorgeous Liz.  I wish I could join this Sunday class of yours, I could learn a few more tricks.  Thanks for sharing though.

Tuesday with more 3D shares

Caroline is back with two new gorgeous cards.  See for yourself.  The peel off work is brilliant.  Thank you so much Caroline.  Keep them coming I am sure they will help some of us for new ideas.  Stepping outside of the box usually makes me not too comfortable but you are proving that it is possible and so so so beautiful too.  Thank you.

The two cards are great looking so much so I could not pick a favorite although I am sold on flowers and it is not a secret LOL

Second Post for today

Secondly I need to convey a message to Di, as she sends me emails and for a couple of times now as well as Jo Anne we have tried to send you emails and it bounces back to us.

Di if you get to see this message can you please check that your email is not bouncing from too much mail in there or for other reasons.  You can let me know by email when you get this.  I receive all your emails without a problem but I can't send you anything back.  Sorry.

Lorraine, I think it was a neat idea you had to make cards to sell for charity.  This is rewarding more than anything.  Donating is a tremendous feeling!

Sunday shares

Hi Friends

Here are a few Stampin'Up cards for your viewing pleasure.  I found them so I could show them to you to give you ideas.  I hope you enjoy them!

 

This last card in blue it is hard to see but there is an acetate on top of the flowers.  The acetate was stamped with blue stazon and placed face down when the ink is dry and then the middle design in green was added on top to hide the glue that was used to place the acetate in position. 

I can give you an idea!!!!!!!!!  Think Christmas.  You can add a winter picture to your card, then white stamp flakes with (white stazon ink) let dry and always place your inked side face down on your design, you can use photo album corners or peel off corner stickers to finish the look of your card.  The corner peel offs will be excellent to help you use some transparent glue on each corner to stabilize your whole card.

This idea has endless possibilities!  Try it and send us your own ideas!  DARE! :)

Your cards are always absolutely adorable Di.  Thank you for sharing them with us.  I can see you tried other ways to enhance the cards, no matter what you do and try it is always brilliant.

Another nice example of how many different combinations can be done with in this case paint chip of all colors, Valerie shows also that the flowers can be changed while matching inks and background papers as well as the matting.  See how important the matting is in these examples.

One more card with the Stampin'Up animal set that is retiring at the end of this month. 

As a reminder if you look through the list of retired stamp sets that are getting out forever on June 30th, I am making a last order next Wednesday.  So if you want in on a set you cannot live without, now is the time to email me and let me know which one keeps calling your name.  I will be happy to oblige hee hee.

Thursday's shares

The weather here has become what it feels like stepping into an oven when we have to go out there.  Time to hope for beleive it or not (MORE rain) we are hoping it should get down to a decent mid-80F for a few hours anyway hee hee hee

Anyway, time to post some more gorgeous cards.  As I mentioned yesterday here are some more of Valerie's beautiful cards.

So there they are.  Thanks Valerie for sharing your beautiful cards.  I had once gotten some paint chip cards to make cards similar to yours and I still have them sitting here somewhere in an unpacked box hee hee.  I should try and dig deeper to find them.  I like the look of a simple stamp in the middle of it, matted  with matching colors it is stunning.

I kept more cards to send for tomorrow.  There was a generous amount that I had to seperate for all of our viewing pleasure.

Just a quick stop to update you on the 3D sheet addition I just made.

I received more 3D cards to share from Di, but I am in a rush to get out of here for the day.  I will post them as soon as I get back or soon enough after I make it back.

Enjoy the new 3D's and please I need examples of them all made.  So if you can please help I would love to see what you can do with my sheets.  Please encourage the maker of them otherwise I will just slow down considerably doing something else.  Some of you I haven't heard from in a long time.  I would love to hear from you if you are reading this today.

Well today was another one quite busy for me but here I am, better late than never as they say.  Or was I missed?  LOL

I have been busy cleaning up my computer files and all the designs I plan on making for 3D sheets.  So eventhough it doesn't produce any sheet at this time it is good for when I start making more tonight or tomorrow, so be on the look out!

Monday and here I am with new shares

Hi Friends

Yesterday as I was hoping for the whole month, Mark's son told us he was coming to visit for a week on business so he would visit while here.  He had not said a word to anyone on when he would be here but I had that strong feeling Father's Day was a target day.  I prepared for him to be here anyway.  To our delight he showed up just at the end of the afternoon right after his flight got in.  Needless to say Mark was happy that he could say his Father's day was perfect all the way through.  I had to share this because it was so nice to see those two together for a few hours yesterday.  His son is here for about 9 days so we will see him more before he goes back home again.

I am delighted to share more cards from Di today.  Thank you Di for sharing your beautiful cards with us.  We all do appreciate them and I hope you got the answer from Jo Anne on your question about the 9er's stamping club cards.  I must add I love ducks and each time I find them I store them to make 3D sheets with them so one day soon I might surprise you with them.  Your ducks are absolutely lovely Di. Thank you.

Those cards are absolutely gorgeous Di.  I like the way you mix backgrounds to fit the main little guy at the front.  Very cleverly done as usual.  Have a great week Di.

3D SHEETS REPORT

As of yet I have not made any this weekend I was way too busy here, but I am trying to make a few for today.  So on Monday afternoon I should add a few and will add to music I will add where else I added 3D's to later if it is the case but I know I have a few in music which is actually FYI a good folder for masculine designs.

Being creative is contageous.   It is a condition that draws friends around to share their view on your cards as well as complimenting you, thank you for sharing so no matter how you look at it, you will make someone smile. To me it's worth gold.

SU cards to share on Father's Day!

Hi friends

Well it is Father's Day today! We are hoping Marks' son will make the trip today to surprise his Dad.  He is supposed to come for a week training at a Bank where he has just been hired and it happens to be in the same town where we are.  So I have my fingers crossed for hubby.  It would be nice to have him here for this special day.

Here are a few SU cards I could find and share with you gals!

This is the selection for the day.  I hope some of the cards displayed will help you find some ideas that were missing for your cards to make for the week.  The black card at the top called friendship is made with pearl-ex then a coat of transparent embossing powder to seal the deal!  It is beautiful but again on pictures sometimes we don't get the full WOW and true effect.  It is gorgeous though.

There are a few more ideas for masculine cards although I know it is late for father's day cards now.  These ideas can easily be used for the masculine ideas for the men in our life.  The last card on second row with apples she used the latest and greatest paper punches it looks like an eaten apple, I thought it was a brilliant idea.  That same punch was used on that same row but the second card in pink.

Saturday I think it is a take it easy day here!

Hi Friends

I hope all of you are taking some time to enjoy yourselfves over the weekend.  As you could see I gave a little sprint to 3D sheets making yesterday so I could just not do any today.  But I have a few Stampin'Up cards to share that I could find yesterday.

I also might not resist to the temptation in making more 3D it all depends on the schedule and mood LOL.  So if I add more check mack on here later on, if I did add more I will identify which folder it is in.  Just for the sake of saving you time.

If there are any duplicates I apologize.  Just ignore the ones you have already seen.  So be creative and remember there is a fine line between crafting and insanity hee hee!  But share your wonderful cards with us we enjoy them all.  No card is left behind!

SECOND POST FOR FRIDAY ABOUT NEW 3D SHEETS

Hi friends

Another quick report to tell you that I went overboard today and made lots and lots of 3D sheets.  That includes FLOWERS, Women, Music, Teens Tweens, 4TH July, Native, Oriental, Get well soon, Birthday general, Cats and dogs, Thanksgiving.  I counted over 25 sheets added just now.  There were about 5 vellum sheets in that bunch.

Friday? so soon! Here are some beautiful cards from the 9ers stamping club

Hi friends

Jo Anne was very nice to send me some of the 9er's stamping club she belongs to.  They got together this week and made some embossing with 3D'ing you will see for yourself how beautiful the cards are.

All these cards are absolutely gorgeous.  I like the embossing with the cutting around a few designs it adds so much interest and dimension to the card.

  Fran, Sherrie and Janet you have done a very nice job with all the work involved on each card, thank you for sharing them with us.

Look at Janet's windmills I love the size as I know this is a little more difficult to make the smaller you get.  Great work Janet and thanks for sharing your card.

3D SHEETS REPORT

About 3D sheets, I only had the chance to make one in the flower section and will post it later it is if you are looking for it a white rose with some effect in it.  It is one of my photos and I also did the work on the flower to then turn it into a tube and eventually a 3D sheet.

But on Friday since this blog is going to be posted in our wee hours in the morning I will post more on Friday afternoon.  Be on the look out.  If I make 6 or more I will post a second post to let you know where.

Today I am a little late, sorry to the ones who were looking for a blog earlier.  I am now ready to deliver my shares.  Have a fun day everyone!

  The two first cards are made from one set that will be available as a hostess set in the coming new Catalogue of Stampin'Up July 1st.  Now I have learned the catalogue will still be $9.95 I had a few people asking so here is the answer.

The last card is another new set well, I should say part of a new set.

Now about the 3D sheets I have added some more sheets in the following categories.  Flowers, music, Christmas, manly, 4th of July, animals general, baby infant toddler.  That applies for the past week additions.  Just keep in mind that if you want to lurk quickly in each category, you will always find the latest 3D sheets on the first page.  So that should help you save time when you are looking for new sheets.

I am adding more later on today in music so keep the bucket up and refresh it regularly in your browser it is the icon next to the red X, two opposite green arrows.  That will allow you to keep the photobucket up and ready to view when you have a chance but never forget to UPDATE each time you come back otherwise you won't see the latest.  Or just come back and login all over again.

Remember to share your beautiful creations with us.  We love the novelties, the great things it makes us want to do when we see your cards.  It always gives back I like to look at it as a giving chain of warm feelings!

Tuesday shares

Well it has been a very blah day.  I got up later from not sleeping too well and the rest of the day remained slow slow slow.  But I received more beautiful cards to show you.  So here comes the cards that Phyllis sent us

Thank you Phyllis for your shares.  The pandas and birds are made of tissue paper that she found in a Asian craft store.  As for the first card it was made to participate to a contest, handmade paper site. and the third card it is obviously a picture of a plant in a sunset.  Great looking cards Phyllis thank you so much

Did I tell you I ALMOST, ALMOST purchased a cuttlebug last Saturday.  I resisted the urge LOL

Oh Monday is already here oh no! LOL

Time is getting out of control, not that I ever thought I had control over such a thing but for some reason I don't know if any of you feel this way but what is called a 7 day week feels like a 4 day week to me now.  Where does the 3 missing days go?  Unbeleivable!

Well, in the meantime Jo Anne has sent us another 3D card I think it looks sensational I am sure you will agree with me.  Here it is:

What a beauty.  I loved the little lady when I saw it at first sight so I made it into a 3D sheet.  This is the first one I see made into a card! WOW thank you Jo Anne.  Good job and thanks for sharing with us.

Sunday's cards to share (Jo Anne's and mine)

Hi Friends

By the way Jo Anne, don't worry about your pictures of the cards you made, when we don't see the real card in front of us we can't see anything wrong from here.  A camera is never all that precise whrn it comes to cards.  I don't know why but unless I usually use a neon light at a certain angle I can't get the real color to show.  There are colors that are that way you cannot get them perfectly no matter what.  So let's just say it wasn't your fault AT ALL hee hee hee.  In my humble opinion your pictures were fabulous as always.

I have more cards that I made during the past week so here is the rest of them for your viewing pleasure.  I also received more pictures of cards from Jo Anne so immediately after my cards you will see the two she made a few days ago.  It is a must see.

The gowns you see I had made 6 of them with the floor wax and pearl-ex technique and added some glitter to the dress when it was dry by adding some glue from a pen, when all dry I added a stone in the cleavage of the dress for more interest.

As for yesterday's little feet cards it was made out of a paper mold I purchased from Arnold Grummer the handmade paper guy.  It is now selling at Michael's if you are in the US or search under his name to find his store on the internet. 

All I do with the mold is I take toilet paper wet it all about 2 feet long and when wet I shred it all in small chunks and add to the mold adding pressure to drain excess water. Once it is filled completely with toilet paper I again drain any remaining water with a towel.  I then put it in the microwave oven (feet mold) for 30 seconds at a time.  Since I am in a high altitude it takes 1 1/2 min to get it dry enough to take it out of the mold gently and let the rest dry.

Once dry you can add to your card, add chalk to the feet or use your own idea for embellishment or leave simply as is which is also very pretty.

I have cards here from Jo Anne

I thought she had a fantastic idea.  As usual.  She had received a gift from a friend, a floral arrangement so to thank the person who gave it to her, she decided to use the picture she took of the arrangement, printed it out and added it to the card, I think it looks gorgeous (the card and also the arrangement)  Thanks for sharing Jo Anne

About the card to the right I thought it is very nice.  It was made with the Cuttlebug machine (embossing) for the background (bubbles) this sheet comes from Hildegard's collection of 3D sheets that she sells.  Jo Anne added the hat last in 5 layers as well as the chair closer to us is another extra layer.  I think it looks adorable and makes me want to take off for a nice vacation.

She also stamped the envelope with a plalm tree.  Staying in the theme of her card.  Well done Jo Anne and thanks!

So remember to be creative it is always pleasant to see what others may come up with for ideas or inspiration.

Ok today is the day I am posting my cards I have worked on the whole week.  I keep hoping that my best are yet to come.  Now that's positive for the future always LOL.

Then I have Di's 3D cards she sent on Friday.  She is still at work making cards even if hubby John is a newly retired man.  Her cards will be on here for today as well.  Thank you for all the beautiful cards Di it is always totally appreciated that you take the time to send them out to me leaving me free to post them or not.  So look below and in her Album for more of her wonderful cards she has shared so far.

Today I am posting special cards.  Linda from our group is having her Birthday (60th) don't tell anyone I told you hee hee.  But overall I couldn't beleive she is getting 60 she doesn't look it at all.  Good job Linda because whatever you are doing to stay young looking is working!  Happy Birthday and have a great day filled with fun stuff to do.

I also have cards from Lorraine which are 3D cards.  So below Linda's Birthday cards you will find Lorraine's great looking cards.

Hi Ladies!

The first card to the left is Dora's card.  I love the style Dora always have a gorgeous style in making her cards, so much so, that I recognize her card each time.  Thanks Dora great job!

The next card and third are from Gloria who made a great looking pocket with an insert which is so so pretty!  I like it a lot as I am sure a lot of us shares this opinion.  Thanks for sharing Gloria!

The next card to the left that cheering lady is from Jo Anne another one of her funnies collection, I just love the humor in these rubberstamps, great job Jo Anne, thanks for sharing with us once more.  Great job!

Hildegard's card is so beautiful, it is the one on the right with the gold fancy bottom edge and a 3D design that she sells on her website.  If she still has this one in stock.  Her sheets are going going gone that's how fast they sell.  Great looking card Hildegard. The cute 3D frog is from Phyllis.  Thank you Phyllis for such a nice 3D design it looks so much into a Birthday mood, it is hilarious!

The next to the left with punched flowers is another beautiful creation of Rose.  Thank you Rose for this beautiful card.  Linda is a lucky Birthday girl! 

The candle card comes from Sue.  Hi Sue!  This is a Stampin'Up design beautifully colored and matted I love your choice of colors and the ribbon as an accent to the whole card.  Very pretty as well.  Good Job Sue!

The last one for today is from Valerie.  Gorgeous card also considering how little time you had to put it together right after coming back from your trip in France and Germany.  I love that card too, different styles are all as pretty as the next one.  Good job Valerie!

Thursday's beautiful shares from Candy

Hi Friends

I am so glad to be able to show you some of the cards that Candy sent me last night.  Thank you Rich for scanning and emailing them all for us.  There are some 3D cards that you will undoubdtedly recognize as well as pretty cards made out of the stickers we mentioned about a week or so ago from Penny Black.  I am so amazed to see how the stickers are so easy to use to make gorgeous looking cards.  You can add peel offs, matting your sticker with matching colors, then add your favorite sentiment to the card and you are practically done, what a beautiful result.

Wednesday's card shares from Phyllis

Hi friends

It seems some of you are on a roll for making the most beautiful cards after the other.  So my wish has come true.  Creativity is at it's best and you see me enchanted about it.  Keep up the good work because I will keep on posting.  Promise.

Today our card shares are from Phyllis.  Phyllis has this talent for color matching and designing so all go together and it is not by accident either.  She comes up with designs that awwwwwwwwww us all each time.  I know I am always pleasantly surprised with all her sends.  I hope that you can relate to that feeling and I hope that you can draw some creativity and ideas from her inspiring work.  Keep up the good work Phyllis, I am smiling widely!

The basket of flowers look so elegant I bet that was a 3D sheet that Hildegard has in stock!  This is beautiful as always the peel offs are completing the style of this card.

The thinking of you to the left is also very elegant Phyllis used her Cuttlebug once more to demonstrate the versatility of this embossing product and it's various templates.  Good job Phyllis

All the other cards below are just as beautiful and one gave me an idea!  Very cleverly done my friends.  Thanks for the shares.

Here we are Tuesday and I have some cards to share with you and the creative mind who sent them to me this time was Jo Anne.  Thank you Jo Anne for these absolutely beautiful cards, I like that you show that you are flexible with just about any technique, 3D, rubberstamping, punching and more.  I like that some of your cards show so much fun into them the cards you make with elder folks are hilarious, what's to not like about them.  Keep up the good work my friend, I can't get enough of your cards.

Everyone who has been sending cards to share you are so adorable to do so but please keep up the good work.  Sometime this week it will be my turn to share my latest creations.  I am not saying when.

Thank you for all the beautiful comments on Hildegard's cards.  I hope she had a chance to come and see them on here.  She is a busy lady but I am sure as soon as she gets a chance she will be reading the comments but I thank you on her behalf.

I was so happy I finally accomplished something I had been meaning to do for months now.  I cleaned up my photobucket of 3D sheets.  Everything is now in their appropriate folders.  Yes I put everything away easy for you to find by topic therefore saving you hoodles of time in the long run.  So happy hunting I will add more 3D sheets soon.  Look again on Monday.

Thanks for all the nice comments on the clean up I made.  You were very quick at commenting as I was just finishing up and the emails were showing up with compliments.  Thank you Lorraine, Di, Jo Anne and the other ones I have yet read.

Sunday's shares

I received more cards by email yesterday to my great pleasure.  I cannot refuse any card I love them all.  Thank you Hildegard to allow me to post some of your 3D cards, some of us already know that you are selling 3D sheets from that company in Europe that is so popular.  I already have a folder open for your 3D examples so I will add these to that folder which I beleive is the very first one on the right hand side.

So let's show the cards to everyone

Once again thank you Hildegard for your beautiful cards.  I love the way you mounted the cards.  Coloring inside the peel offs is quite a brilliant idea.  Matching the rest of the card, very nice.

I also enjoyed the blue card with the gold fan with blue roses.  It is gorgeous.  But they are all very nice if you ask me.

This card to the right is a template of a champagne bottle that Di decorated it looks so real what a great job you did on that one I guess the inspiration was that it is for your husband so it must have been fun to make.  Thank you for sharing all your cards WOW.

Thank you for the beautiful cards I love the stargazer lillies they are stunning looking flowers I try to 3D as many as I can find actually.  So if anyone has pictures of them please send them in my email I will be happy to tube and 3D them when I get a chance.

It is with great pleasure that I will post more shares today.  I am so pleased and proud of you all who are participating each week.  Oh I a so happy and smiling big!  Thank you Jo Anne for your cards of today.  I am pleased once again to display them to the world!

THe very first card for fishing is absolutely gorgeous what a great idea for a Father's Day card.  Hey friends!  If you were at lost for ideas and it Dad loves fishing there is a good idea right there or Phyllis's cards were also great for ideas.  If we focus on sports even if your Dad is not at the ago to play sports anymore, think about the sports he continues watching either at a stadium or at home.

These are good subjects to pick what a card.  Whatever occupies his time for hobbies I would focus on that and go for it!
