Hi Friends
Monday is here, I am bringing good news along with my post. We start the week with excellent news, one of ours has won a prize on one website mentioned below. Feel free to send all your comments to Phyllis in the comment box. We are all proud of you girl! Great job!
From the Web page where she is crowned the June 2007 Winner:
In The Garden by Phyllis Krest
This was my first attempt to make paper. It was so much fun. A friend helped me and some papers turned out pretty good. I know I need a little more practice - I am a card maker. (Note: We think Phyllis did just swell - her card won the June 07 Garden Card contest at AGs!) http://www.arnoldgrummer.com/Projects/productLinks.cfm?c=5&id=153&this_page=1
Here is the winning card:
Congrats Phyllis, I knew you had a winning card!
Phyllis's card was made with handmade paper from scratch. (Yellow) It is a fun process, water splattering but so much fun.
Paper in the making can be colored with the help of many different mediums, ie: food coloring, ink pad refill ink, already colored paper on hand...etc. We can add flowers to the mix, sparkles, fibers and so on.
We had fun days making paper while learning how to make it.
Again Phyllis, Congratulations for your great accomplishment.
If anyone reading this today and are curious enough to want to learn on how to make your own paper to embellish your own cards let me know I still have the instructions from when I taught a class or two. I could just email them to you.

I am out of cards to share, please feel very free to send some my way! I will always add Stampin'Up cards to fill the gaps but your cards are always my favorites.

I had a great time with Valerie last week. She was here with her husband all week. While he was in a conference a few days through the week between her visiting Toas and Santa Fe she and I were visiting, exchanging fun stories and so on. We ended their visit at the restaurant over a nice New Mexican meal. Thank you for that wonderful time we spent Valerie. Another great page to store in my memories.

This has been posted in advance, meaning late last night for Monday. I will be in the hospital for a good part of the day today with hubby. He is having surgery, then for a few days, to his delight, I will be his private nurse (hee hee hee). So my postings will be a little slower than usual but will be collecting cards as I usually do and prepare them ready for their posting them on here.

Have a great week everyone and remember, be creative, and share with us!
