Saturday and yet again more cards!

I hope you are all doing very well.  I am sure that by now I am missing all of your emails because you are part of my every day living getting beautiful emails and cards is part of my life so being away from all of it sure is making me want to be back.  I am not sure if we will be spending my Birthday away or not.  But if we are wherever I am celebrating it, hubby always make sure I am having one to remember! He is the best, I am keeping him!

Friday already, I am sure this is one of my thoughts on vacation right now.  I know the time will fly by quickly for us being on the road visiting as much as we can, but let's not forget there is also a Rubberstamping Convention I must attend hee hee.  I love to plan ahead and of course whenever possible I will plan a card related convention so I can get some new doodads!

Here comes the moment where we share cards on here, ah ah, slapping gently the back of my head to remind me what I am here for!

Phyllis has sent us some of the cards she made in her class this week.  The card that got me the most interested and intrigued about is the one with the zippers.  Making a Japanese knot on her card in 3 different colors is so beautiful.  If you have a pattern for it I would love to try it myself.

Wednesday HUMP DAY, still on vacation!

Monday - shares and a tiny reminder

Hi friends

I am so thrilled to share more cards for you today.  I also wanted to remind you about the next Card Challenge, (scroll down to the beginning of this month for instructions) it is still time to participate if you are just finding out about this one.  It is a Autumn/Halloween theme and you need to pick one sheet to work on in my photobucket to qualify and read more on the blog below.  Just keep in mind that you will start sending your Challenge cards on October 10th until the end of the Challenge day which is October 15th only.  No cards will be received before.  This will avoid me to lose any earlier submissions and fair for everyone.

Hi Friends

Friday YIPPEE we are starting our vacation officially but only leaving on Monday morning though.  So time to wrap up a lot of loose ends here making sure I have enough timed blogs to last until next Friday it not later.  I am trying to make it so it doesn't really look like I am gone hee hee hee.

Please one request after today.  Could you please keep your emails to a minimum.  I will stop a lot o fmy regular group emails but all of you who knows that sends me cards could you please keep them on the back burner until I post that I am back home?  I would appreciate it as when I come back I don't want to feel too stressed out getting my emails. Thank you I know I can count on all of you.

Here are Janet's medallions they are so beautiful!  Another cute version of it is to add glitter for those who can stand the mess.  But this is so lovely just like it is!  Thank you so much Janet more and more fun shares!  I added 2 more cards to the medallion just as lovely as the next one.

I added a beautiful card that Phyllis sent me just yesterday!  How beautiful, she also used the cuttlebug curlyQ folder for the background and the tin wire curled and attached to the card.  I think that is a ever clever look as well as giving me an idea to use my wire stock stashed away somewhere.  Thank you for sharing Phyllis, very clever!

Here we are mid week already and I am not even close to half my list to prepare before leaving on our holidays, but adrenaline will kick in soon, one can hope, unless I don't have anymore in me hee hee.

Tuesday, oh! I am getting excited!

Hi friends

If there was a time when I needed cards to post, it is NOW.  hee hee hee I decided that if I can and if I get enough cards before I go I could organize the blog so it will have something every day on it even when I am gone.  So if you have cards that you have not shared here before, now is the time to send them at craftynikky@gmail.com  This way we will have something everyday that is what I wish to do so let see if that can come true.

Don't forget to prepare your card for the next Challenge ending on October 15th.  As I had mentioned on the intruction sheet, you will have to send me your Challenge card between October 10th and 15th.  I will not accept them beforehand since I know I may lose your card because it is still too early.

Sue your card is definitely lovely I am still wondering about what you used for the background?  It looks like foil, but again I may be wrong sometimes pictures are not giving justice to the true colors.

If you can spare a few minutes to tell us in the comment box what you used for the background yuo will not only appease my big curiosity but also others as well.

Monday a new week with more cards and sheets coming for you!

Hi friends

Here we are, Monday, just a week away from our vacation.  I can't wait!  I will be terribly busy this week preparing for next Monday's departure.  Will be finishing up a few cards placed on back burner for too long and will NOT take any special request under no circumstances all week and of course during the period of time we will be away.  Which is a little less than 2 weeks.  Could be less than that, but, we will play it by ear as we are not schedule planners we just go with the flow and that's more fun!

Craftyanny made this beautiful card out of my sheets from the Wedding folder.  I think it is a beautiful very clever looking card.  The tag that was used to sit the couple on was a very neat idea.  I like that.

More and more cards my friends

How are you?  I had a good day yesterday, I finally had my hair fixed, from the last mess.  Had lunch with hubby while I was in town took him on a date, it was fun.

Sandra I certainly appreciate all your cards as I love snowmen.  But the second card posted about Father Christmas I absolutely like it.  It is the first time I see it done this way and it is adorable.  I wasn't sure if I would make the sheet for it but it was hard to turn away from it since I had a feeling someone would like it.  Thank you for all your work Sandra, there are a lot of lucky people out there who will get these beautiful cards.  :)

Janet as always your cards are lovely what's not to like and even better I can't wait to share your cards, thanks for using my sheets as well.

I think it is fun to see everyone's cards.  Yes, I make sheets but my great reward is to see what all of you can come up with.  All the cards will be different.  Our best proof was when I did the first Challenge with the Pink Lady sheet.  More than 20 cards showed up and none we even close to being similar.  So my reward for all the work I do is to see all the cards that comes into my email, that I can turn around and share the craftswomenship quality from everyone.  (I changed craftsmanship to what you saw hee hee)

Friday a fun day! (UPDATE ON 3D SHEETS, OVER 40 WERE ADDED)

Hi Friends

Oh what a nice day it will be today, I am hoping to get an appointment at the Hair Salon to get my hair fixed from the big mess the last one did to my hair.  I asked for blend in layers and I got a razor botched job everything is uneven but now that it has grown out some I can finally get it evened out and look decent.  It is not easy to find stylists that will listen to what you ask for.  They nod and grin, say yes yes I understand, anyway it is always a very stressful experience for me so tomorrow I am going to the best place in town again where I know they listen the only problem is, they charge an arm and a leg for a hair style.  It's ok at least I will have better chances to be satisfied. 

Enough about my trials and tribulations LOL, let's get to the matter at hand CARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I have to show you what I made today I had a real hard time with it.  I never made wizard cards before ever!  There is a first to everything right?  I have baptized it my GEEZARD!

Thank you Jo Anne for giving me the idea about using stars.  If we can't see him well enough.  He is a 3D wizard that I probably added to my photobucket already (not sure).  But if not it will get the GEEZARD there soon.  I promise hee hee

Well the stars I added to the card are full of glitter so it is sparkling plenty to give extra dimension.  Well that will be it for this one.

Now here comes Liz B.'s (Australia) rest of her cards.  Look at her creativity also!  I am so pleasantly surprised to see yet more beautiful cards and new ideas with new products.  The acetate sticker is added on the top of the square cut and the flower design is added under the square cut out so it looks like it is nesting in a window, what a neat idea.  I will have to give this one a try. 

Hildegard, do you have the square acetate with gold dots on the outside just like your butterflies?  Let me know if you do.  :)

Please find new 3D sheets in the following folders.  I added more than 40 sheets and background paper in:

Christmas, Manly, Flowers, Easter, Native, Animals, Bears, and General.

P.S.:  Please take note. 

2 important notes, please read.

1. If you try and go in the photobucket and it doesn't work, get out completely, close that page and try again, eventually you will get there.

2. If I ever change my password I will let you know in here, so best to check here first to see if I have mentioned anything about it.  If it was the case that I did indeed change the PASSWORD, it will be your responsibility to send me an email and ask for the new one.  If you have been active and sent me cards on a regular basis as asked prior to getting the password, I will give you the password with a huge smile.

I beleive in giving back what was given to us for free.  Giving back in form of making cards with my sheets once a month is not much to ask, it is helping all of us with ideas for our next cards.  So please let's not break this fun chain.

Di sent us cards she made with peel offs.  I think it is great to get more ideas with peel  offs since they are so very decorative and pleasant to see on any card.  As always Di your cards are beautiful.

Liz B. (Australia) here she is again.  She sent me another 13 cards to share.  She is so much into making cards right now she stays up later and later!!!  We benefit dearly from her late nights!  So I am sure none of us will complain right?

I can see a lot of acetate stickers used on top of the flowers.  I am starting to get some of these since I am making a lot of single flowers to accommodate this decorative sticker.  Peel offs are also used in so many different ways Liz you are a bank of ideas for all of us thank you for all your work.

I will post more of her cards tomorrow. Keeping some suspense going....hee hee hee

The WOW effect is remarkable.  Liz C. told me that she used her robo craft for the background which is gorgeous and she used one of my latest flowers the yellow iris.  A little peel off touch corner was added with a ribbon, what a beautiful card Liz.

3D sheets report!  Well, I am trying to make more snowmen sheets as it was requested of me a few weeks back.  I cannot express how busy I have been, I feel days only have 12 hours now and at times find it frustrating to do it all but I am hanging in there while making sure I take some time to also relax throughout the day itself.  No point in getting sick that wouldn't get me anywhere.  So............I take it easier and will post when it is possible for me to do so.

I also make a duty to answer all emails I receive on questions about the blog, Card Challenges, 3D sheets or cards that have a special technique that some are curious about.  Please forgive me if I can't answer as quickly as you would like me to.  For some there is 7 hours lag between us which makes it a little difficult to reply within an hour after the email is sent.  So far everyone has been very good at understanding that I can some days get at least 40 emails to reply to personally.  That doesn't include the 300 more that I get from different groups. LOL I need an assistant! hee hee hee

But I try to attend each need as I go through my day and I appreciate all of your patience in that matter.  Have a great Sunday!

TGIF Friday with more shares

About 3D sheets, I am trying to make more to help with a bigger choice available for the next Challenge.  I had a very lazy day today after going to the dentist so early I ended up with a full numbed mouth and took ages to get it back so I went to sleep to numb the numbing hee hee so when I woke up it was almost dinner time.  I had slept through the whole day, I guess I must have needed the extra sleep but I felt so much better and RESTED.  yessssssssss!

So as soon as I can add more 3D sheets I will UPDATE the topic line at the top of the blog!

Tuesday I come to announce the WINNER of our very first challenge on this BLOG

I have the pleasure to announce the winners of my very first card Challenge.

Congratulations ladies!  You have run a very tight race all the way to the end of voting time.  I would also like to thank all the voters a challenge can't work without voters so to all of you THANK YOU!

I would like to extend my congratulations to all the participants as I do believe that all the cards were winners just for making it to the challenge because you took the time to make the nicest looking cards as I kept getting beautiful comments on all of them also read that this voting for one was the hardest thing to do!

I will post this week the next challenge I can tell you it will end on October 15th, 2007 and there will be a window of 5 days to send me your challenge card.  So keep on coming every day this week and look for the next challenge instructions.

Here are a few cards to share today!

Jo Anne sent us a Birthday card, a 3D cake made out of my sheets.  I think it looks great the color combination, the overall look is beautiful so my thanks to Jo Anne for sharing her card with us.  It reminds me of the blow up cake you bring at Birthday luncheons!  It made me smile. :)

Karen sent me 3 cards yesterday, all about Weddings, my jaw dropped from the overall look of her brilliant cards, yes once more!  Gorgeous cards Karen, most of all, thank you for all the shares, we all do appreciate your cards and others as well.  We appreciate TALENT that is SHARED!  I get great comments by email and I can see some comments made here in the blog as well.

Well Liz as I said before many many times I like all your cards, everyone of them, thank you!  I must say I like the way you accessorize the flowers, the matting, corners, your use of ribbons, you are definitely talented.  I am glad you finally got settled into your new craft room.  Now that you can find more time to make cards, I can tell there has been a beautiful change in your cards, it is almost like a serene element to your work!

Last but not least we have Anne's first card with one of my 3D sheets.  It is such a pretty card Anne, I like the dark blue circle you added in the back of the snowman it gives the design more dimention.  Beautiful work!  Thank you Anne!  :)

I have so many beautiful cards to share that I might as well share soon.  I will make the comments shorter since I have so much on my plate these days.  I am having a good time with everything I have in the works and trying to find some time to make more 3D sheets!

I will start with Valerie's Valentine's day cards. Never too soon to catch some ideas ahead of time.  I like to mix all the occasions so it is accommodating everyone's needs.

Liz B from Australia has sent me over 40 cards last night.  So I better start posting them today a dozen at a time should do each time.  I have a weakness for all her flower cards.  You will see what I mean.  She also have  agreat selection of men cards.  So ladies now is the time to get a few ideas for the men in our lives. So here are Liz B's cards to enjoy!

Get ready to vote on Monday for the best looking Pink lady of your choice excluding your own card of course :).  You don't have to have participated in order to be allowed to vote.  Just as long as you only vote once and send me your vote at craftynikky@gmail.com I will add your vote to the count.  I will reveal the results on Tuesday right here on the BLOG so come back to see who won the Challenge. 

Let's not forget that all the cards are absolutely gorgeous (I say so, I know so! hee hee).  The subject was an easy 3D to add bling bling to and other fine doodads.  This is for the fun of getting a winner and perhaps we can do another challenge for Halloween/Autumn & Christmas cards themes. That means 2 challenges until Christmas.

Any 3D of your choice in my photobucket will be accepted for the Halloween/Autumn theme Challenge.  I will announce when it will start and end in a few weeks.  So if you want to be ahead of things, start picking your 3D designs, make your card and keep it aside for when I announce the dates (do not show your card) keep it as a surprise.  That gives you a little more than 1 month. Get busy!!!! :)
