Di thank you, Di has sent us a few more cards as she still is very busy with her Christmas card season.  It is very good for us since we can draw some great ideas and inspirations from all of her work.  Enjoying all of them Di thanks :)

I must take the time to tell you that the first card displayed up there (candle and poinsettias) Di used the puffy white, she let it to dry overnight and used the heat gun to puff up the snowflakes.  How beautiful of a look!  I have this stuff and had forgotten to use it (out of sight, out of mind) LOL

All your cards are also gorgeous as I am sure the peel off cards are going to give ideas to some of us that collect the peel off stickers like there is no tomorrow.  Ideas on these are always welcome.

Mary what a beautiful card you made and shared with us. Mary is one of our newest members to share her brilliant looking cards, I am so pleased that she joined us.  I noticed the stitching in the 4 corners of the Santa and bears card.  It add so much more interest to her card.  Of course the penguins, my favorites another beautiful card to add to our so beautiful bountiful collection of cards!  Thanks Mary :)

Thursday Challenge Winner announcement!

But here are the winners of the Challenge #3 Christmas/Winter theme. I am pleased to announce the winners starting with.....

Congrats ladies.  It was another close race.  So much so that I was worried at once point I had many tied positions.  I agree the cards are all beautiful and it makes it hard to pick a favorite.  Liz please send me a suggestion for the next Challenge Theme before Friday!

Thank you for all of your participation in the challenge #3.  The first place winner will have the task to decide what the next challenge will be.  Because of the holidays coming and all of us will have busier schedules, I will not start a new Challenge before mid January. 

In other words, if a Valentine's Day/Romance theme is called for mid February you will have plenty of time to get your cards done.  I will need the winner to come forward with a new theme for the next Challenge no later than Friday November 23rd please.  Send me your answer by email at craftynikky@gmail.com

Victorian ladies are such a popular item I get asked to 3D so often.  I did quite a few and will do more soon.

The Christmas table reminds me that I need to make tea (supper) in a minute LOL.  But it is a very beautiful card as well.

SUNDAY - Today and tomorrow are the two last days to submit your Challenge cards ladies!

Hi Friends

Here we are already Sunday, I was having a good week other than my lingering cold but hubby was home for the Holiday since Wednesday.  Oh does it ever go by fast when he is around.  We got some shopping done while parking lots were awful to try to find a spot to park.  People were getting testy when someone else would steal their spot they were waiting for LOL.  What a fun day it was. hee hee

The cold is sticking to me more than I care to.  It is though, getting slowly better so I am crossing my fingers that by Tuesday I will be back to my old self hee hee, not any better but at least I won't be considered sick LOL anyway cards cards cards that's right cards!

Di oh this is a nice poinsettia flower with the gold deco around, it gives it a definite charm, I definitely like it!  :)

Jo Anne thank you for your Thanksgiving card look at the beautifully colored rubberstamping card she sent us for the occasion.  Mark also loved it.  This card like so many other cards is so much better in the flesh!  The colors are true but nevertheless this is very close and very beautiful.  Thank you Jo Anne & hubby!

Pram your cards are delightful and pleasing to the eyes.  I love looking at them reminding me of a few techniques I tried like the soot one the last card in fact.  With a candle on a glossy cardstock, yours came out better than mine.  Plus I burnt my thumb in the process with using the candle.  Tea bag cards are always so attractive.  But overall your cards are beautiful and that was the end of the bunch you sent me. 

I hope your little one heals fast from the chickenpocks.  I hope the children had it before so you don't get all of them sick at once.  Mind you my Mom would almost make us sleep in the same bed so we would all get sick once hee hee

Craftysal I am happy you are part of the ladies who shares their cards now.  I am so thrilled to see the card on the left giving ideas for little girls of that age.  It is not always easy to come up with ideas, but if we know what they are so addicted to, musical, groups, etc... it makes is so much easier.  Great ideas Sally.  The penguins are also a favorite of mine so I also like them.  Thank you and send us more! :)

Lynne sent us her cards on the GodFather's movie theme as you can see she made good use of the main photos it is well put together it is impressive as the same for all of your intricate cards Lynne and thank you for all the shares.

You will get to see a lot of her cards as days go by I have over 30 more I didn't count them but there could be much more.  So hang on tight, for the rest coming little at a time.  :)

Friday card shares!

Well I almost ran out of time to make the blog today.  Between Doctor's appt and daily chores. What a day we had. "Full of surprises" good and not so good LOL ;).  I am late in all my emails, my card making, sheet making, my home chores, I am getting a cold, so some of you who have written emails to me waiting for an answer it may take a few days.  I am not kidding when I say I am busy LOL.  I better take it easy if I know what's good for me.  :(

Please don't forget to send your challenge cards on the date provided on the instruction sheet.  I will set aside some specific time to pick them up and make sure none of them have a name on them this time.  They will only be numbered.

To answer your question Lynne that was all I got for yesterday's card combination.  There was quite a few red X's when I received your cards so we will find out as I post them, but we have a good idea what is missing is as beautiful.  I am running short on time to try and figure out what didn't get in when I saved the 30 some cards.  Sometimes that happens, and it's ok.  Thank you for all the shares. :)

Some may be repeats but all that much worth repeating as I previously mentioned I had lost the folder and found it back again but all the cards were mixed with the ones I already had shown in the past.  So bare with my goof I do goof too LOL oh yes I do!

Wednesday feeling a little slow

Hi friends

I am feeling a little slow this week.  Little sleep will do that to me I wanted to make about 60 cards for the craft fair this weekend but I am up to 8 LOL.  Hang in there Nicole you'll make it in a month way after the sale is over.  Rubberstamping is a lot of fun but I have lost my touch a little by not practicing as much as before, the blog took over that extra time and I don't mind it.  I love to share work that has been done with love, compassion, and addiction too in some cases. hee hee hee.  Hubby is slowly improving but this cold is a doozer!  One day you are not so bad then the next you are stuck to dear bed.  Let's hope he gets better so it minimizes me chances to get it too.  I think just to make sure I don't get his cold I am taking just as much medication as he is. LOL but it has worked for me so far.

Time to now share more cards, more beautiful work!

More card? Ready?  Here are the stunning cards that Janet sent me a few days ago and earlier.  I just like them all thank you so much for making such beautiful cards and then sharing them with us.  That is very kind of you Janet :) Smiling!

 

As you can see there is one for the man in your life the vintage car and it can be found in the manly folder if you are interested in making one similar.  Janet I love the choice of paper and color, not to forget the texture it really adds to the manly look it is very lovely.

Pram your cards are spectacular.  I have to say I am sorry I seemed to have a curse going against your folder LOL.  When I finally found it again, I was so happy, I made sure to keep it with my other folders for the blog, well I ended up adding all of the previous cards you had sent us.  That will explain if you see cards for the second time, that's the reason, I goofed and I am sorry.

All of her cards are gorgeous and I like that she is so technique versatile, open to any technique, designs and ideas.  Pram is not afraid of a challenge, it is probably her middle name!  Thanks Pram! :)

Jo Anne made more cards to sell for the Chapter, I am sure they all sold out!  Many of the similar cards changing colors is always a good way to make many cards to sell without having to find way too many ideas at the time it is needed.  Jo Anne has a beautiful way to make them look so different while being the same.  I like them all.  The gingerbreads are so awesome, who ever says little is gorgeous well this one sure is.  Thank you Jo Anne. :)

Sunday, nursing a sick with a cold hubby...

Hi friends

I hope all is well with all of you.  Here since hubby got home from his business trip he has had a sore throat and now got into a full pledge cold/flu not sure yet.  Fever aches and pains etc... We all know what it's like.  I will have this shorter today so I can have more time to be available.  A man always seem sicker than a child LOL so if you know what I mean I will leave it at that! :) too funny

Well I will start with Janet B.R.'s cards, thank you Janet for your beautiful cards some sheets are so freshly new in the photobucket, there it is Janet has already made an exemple that does justice to them all.  I really like them especially when there is some shimmering or mirror like paper.  Here are her beautiful cards!

Enjoy your new snow out there Janet as I would say better there than here hee hee.  Make a nice snowman and send a picture for us.  I should not find that so funny I will attract it here with my luck hee hee.

Photobucket UPDATE

All I have heard so far is that some of you have succeeded in getting in and staying for as long as you wanted in there.  I am so happy.  So you will also notice once you get in everything was shifted to the left hand side of the page so work in 3dee will be to the left.  The main folders are also now lined up to the left of the page in a long column.  That was the work of Photobucket.  I can tell they are working on something but is it the problem we are experimenting?  That remains to be seen.  So ladies, keep on trying until you get in and when they finally fix it you will just have to get it this once like it was before.

Still waiting for a sign from Photobucket I have sent them an email for an update but in vain there has been no answer as of yet.  But I will keep you informed the best way I know how.

Saturday sweet sweet weekend!

Hi friends

Just a little news about my sheets album, I have not gotten any new whatsoever.  So is it fixed yet, I do not know!  So from now on just let me know when it is working please.  I cannot and will not be able to keep up with all the emails it has been generating me to reply.  We know it is not allowing you in.  Just keep trying as I know some of you have been successful with a lot of patience.  It is out of my hands folks, sorry.  But I promise you as soon as I get any positive news I will relay it to you through this blog!  So when you are not sure, look here first before you write an email because I can't keep up anymore LOL.  So let's be patient I know it's not fun since it is Christmas time for card making but all we can do is try and wait and try again!  I know you will understand that this is out of my hands and will be patient as I have to be as well. 

Here are a few cards for today.  I am beat with all the email replying day I had, I will post more tomorrow.  But here are the ones for today!

Anne thank you for your beautiful cards.  I really like what you use the Cuttlebug swirl to make the Santa that was very clever.  I recognized my 2 penguins and someone's popular medallion.  Great work Anne, have a nice weekend!

I am so happy Friday is here I should have a little extra time to finish my coat, my sewing projects are coming along slowly.  But it is getting there.  Now I have more cards to share.

Like every day, today is another one I am happy to be doing what I do and strive to be better all the time this is what I call a daily blessing.  I love to send the kind of email that tells you I am smiling.  Because I never know if behind your computer you are having a nice day or not, maybe my smile will change the outcome of your day.  You may even catch yourself smiling back! If you smiled I accomplished my daily wish for all of you!  I hope you can also feel a smile in my work because it is in there as well.  Precious isn't it?

Oh yes I have more cards for you to enjoy!

Phyllis sent us her latest cards The bird peel off sticket is gorgeous I love the colors you used inside the sticker and the way you embellished it.  I also was totally taken by the look of your iris folding bauble.  Phyllis used some gorgeous wrapping paper.  She said it is heavier paper to fold but overall it accomplish the took she was after.  I think it is gorgeous!

The Christmas Joy you told me there was some acetate on it and said we can't see it in the picture but we get the idea.  It looks so elegant classic!  Thank you for all your cards Phyllis.  There are a few stamped cards in here. :)

Here are the Acetate card instructions sent to me by Phyllis:

A2 size acetate folded to overlay a light lilac card.

Stamped the scroll on acetate with stazon.

Stamped Christmas Joy on cardstock and colored with a stipple brush (I think that is what they are called).

Stamp second time so you can cut out the dove and put on with double pop-up tape.

Attach cardstock over acetate with double sided tape.

Make bow, and you are finished.

I got thinking about the rubberstamped cards that are few and far in between.  There used to be a lot more sent but the major contributors have stopped sending them in.  So I am accepting more rubberstamped card.  I always take any type of card you wish to share with us.  I can only invite you all to share them with us.  So if you are a regular rubberstamper well, show us your creations.  There are cards for all taste in the nature and I welcome them all.  This is why all of you make this blog so successful every day!  Thank you. :)

Liz C. your Sympathy card is really beautiful.  Soon I will make more crosses so there is a better choice for Sympathy theme in my photobucket.

Very nice cards Di, I can relate to what you were saying about not making 3D cards to young children not being appreciative of all the work involved in this type of cards.  But what you made for them is equally as beautiful with the glittered snowmen.  It is gorgeous!

I think I will pause on the 3D sheet making for the Christmas theme for now.  I have important sewing projects to take on seriously. I have wanted to do this for almost a year so now is the time.  I will make more sheets but I need at least a good week to concentrate on what I am doing.  But will pause for a sheet or two.  But for those of you who wanted more sheets made for the Challenge, there they are.  You can go ahead and pick your sheet for the Challenge now.

UPDATE - 3d Sheets added

I hope everyone is having a nice day.  While I couldn't sleep last night I got up and made my time worthy by making more 3D sheets.  They are all in the Christmas folder 16 of them, I added them in both buckets because there are still a few that can't get into the main bucket. I also added a few more sheets look in folders Women and Fairies.

Wednesday Mid week! More gorgeous cards to view

I am not one that enjoys Fall or Winter because I like the comfort of being warm and cozy all the time.  But this Fall here is a dream season as the days go up to a comfortable 70F and cooler at night to be comfy with a blanket and no air conditioning required, it is awesome and we are supposed to get another 3 days at least of this dream weather.

From what I can see all the ones who were not able to get in today most of the day I could see that it could very well be an internet hick up in some regions of UK.  I am told that everything is fine that my account is totally valid and they see no problem getting access to it.  No hickup at this end anyway.  Others have gone to the bucket time and time again today and there was never a problem.  I am also told that doing what I have been telling you all along to close browser and start again will help.  Especially if it is an Internet regional hickup.  Hey it happens here too.

Good luck getting in.  This topic is now closed.

I am going out of my mind trying to find a way to fix this problem.  I have sent an email to the photobucket team in hope that they will reply soon.  In the meantime I feel reduced to just say keep on trying until  I get more input of any kind from them.  Working hard to get this settled as soon as possible.  Please bare with me.  Check for updates on the matter.  Any recent development will be posted here so read here first before you send an email.

UPDATE on photobucket troubles to get in

I am on my way out for a while and I have been receiving a lot of emails from you about the difficult task getting in to the photobucket.  I have not had any problem getting in through the VIP door but I can assure you that I have not changed the password nor did I see anything wrong with the bucket.  I suggest you arm yourself with patience as I think the traffic on my bucket has become heavier.  Ladies keep trying and close your browser each time you finish trying without success.  Start again.  I am sorry about the inconvenience in the time it is taking to get into the bucket I wish I was directing the site I would fix it YESTERDAY lol. 

When having problems just write craftynikky@gmail.com please, as I would prefer to keep the comment box about the great work everyone is doing. 

But as it stands now for today, all is fine in the bucket I just tested it.  Just keep on trying while keeping a smile I am sure that will open the door for you much faster!

When I say so many cards to share I am not complaining at all LOL.  I am in heaven in fact.

So I will try and make the comments a little shorter so I can gain some time whichever way I can is good for me.  So just to make sure that no one feels left out, I personally feel that all the cards posted on this blog are the work of very talented ladies to say the least.  All cards are beautiful some more intricate than others but it doesn't take anything away from the other more simple cards.  We all have our different levels of comfort when it comes to how fancy we are ready to get.  Some of us don't have the time or the patience, but whatever your reason might be I am totally fine with it.  All cards are beautiful and I mean it!

Here are the wonders of card making!

Starting with Sandra's cards. 

I must say this, look at the snowflake card!  I mean all of Sandra's card are gorgeous but one that really got my attention, this card would have won my vote in a Challenge.  Well done Sandra great work!

I am sorry for the inconvenience of the photobucket not always loggin you in immediately when you go.  I am not sure why it does it, I am assuming it has to do with heavy traffic on photobucket so please if it happens try this.  Just close your browser and wait a minute or so before going back it will let you in a lot faster.  It has worked for a lot of you so I am hoping if it happens to you one day you will know what to do.  I am not always handy to reply when you are not able to get in so I am hoping this note will help out in the future.

UPDATE:  New 3D sheets were just added late on Sunday night.  A misted version of the stained class church window has been added, plus so many new Christmas sheets, you will also find a few more sparingly dropped in the following folders:  Baby, Valentine, ThanksGiving, General.  More than 37 3D sheets and matching background were added.  Enjoy!

Maureen P your cards are adorable.  The little ballet lady is so cute the number 7 and everything around her compliments the card so perfectly.  I have a weakness for windows like that, but yours look so real it is amazing!  All of it is perfect in my book. As for the last card it looks so darling with Santa and snowman I love that card, makes me like the sheet even more.  Thank you Maureen for your card shares we all appreciate them always! :)

Phyllis made these beautiful cards.  As for the stars she used some vellum paper used 2 sizes of tag punches glued on each pointing end together, 2 layers of it.  Then made a pretty background with her Cuttlebug flake folder.  Added a center flake to the star, chalked blue on the snowflakes, she added a border of peel off and the card was done.  It is gorgeous.  There are two different examples to view.

(The Stars) The explanation may not be totally exact at 100% as I haven't tried to make the card yet.  But I am sure it is close enough for explanation.  If you were interested to get more instructions just email me.

The next card is made out of some while peel off flowers. with the help of more white peel off lines and silver as well and a decorative punch were used on this card, easy to do and yet so very elegant!

Friday cards to share!

Today I have much more to share with you.  So many beautiful cards to show you I am excited every day.  I am sure you can read my excitement in my daily blogs.  Well it is real folks!

I will finish posting Valerie's cards I had started last Monday I beleive.  I am a few days late but I had good intentions.  Thank you so much Valerie for sending us more of your lovely cards, it is always a great pleasure to receive them as well as sharing them all!

There they are.  I meant to also tell you what technique she used for the inside of her flowers.  I used to teach this method a few years ago and the recipe is simple.

You need pearl-ex powder (colors that work better are gold, silver, purple. green, dark pink, opal or pearlescent)  You will also need floor wax and a tiny paint brush with a small container of water to rinse your brush between colors (note: container that will only be used for crafting)

Once you have all the jars open, dip your paintbrush in your floorwax liquid, then in pearl-ex color of your choice but very slightly as you don't want to overpower the amount of water on it.  Practice on another paper first and get the feel of the mix of the two.  Once you see you are making a nice uniform coat that lusters you have it down path.  Now do the same on your work you want to keep.

Another tip:  What works better is when you create an outline out of embossing powder (gold) you can better color inside the lines with less bleeding if that was to happen.  This technique is very easy to manage, just small with a small flower or design to master it.  You will love the look.  Here on the pictures it doesn't look half as good as it is in the flesh!

Cheek gave us a few cards she made with the rubberstamping technique and watercolor as well.  I think your cards are simply beautiful because you make the inking come to life in your stamping.  You color around it and give it some shadowing and depth which is very artistic of you to do.  If you could write a few words in the comment box to explain how you did the marble effect in your first card, before you went ahead and stamped your leaves in it.  Was it with glossy card stock?

Thursday welcome to my card heaven!

Hi friends

I am so thrilled once again to be able to share such beautiful cards with you.  It is becoming so difficult to select a few cards a day.  But I can post a few at a time and there is always more the next day and then the next and my job is to make sure you will want to come back day after day!  I hope I am doing just that.

I will start with Di's cards today, followed by Liz B. from (Australia) and then a few mixted cards for great ladies that are sharing their talents with us.

Thank you Di for your wonderful work and share once again with all of us.  You always trigger wonderful ideas for all of us and you know what?  I love to keep you busy with new sheets!  hee hee
