Thursday more cards from great talents

Hi Friends

Here we are another week almost over.  Had fun in my craft room yesterday, putting Christmas stuff away to make room for my favorite part of the year to make cards.  Spring, and Easter as well as finishing up a few Valentine's Day Cards. Today I will be with my morning coffee in the craft room making my cards.  Wish me luck that my head collaborates with my creativity hee hee

Wednesday's card share + busy one here

Hi Friends

Wow I have quite a day ahead of me.  Checking on the Cuttlebug possibility of arrival last Monday at one of our favorite chain of Craft stores.  Will let you know if I saw the newest collection.

I also have to get crackin on making more cards in a serious way!  I have to clear up my desk in my craft room and start being creative.  So in the meantime if you email me and don't get a quick reply don't be alarmed I am not going to be online that much for the next 2 weeks I will pick up the cards resize and rename them to post here and I will be done.  This may sound like Lynne hee hee, but it is a fact or should I call it reality.  Got to make loads.

I am glad some of you were thrilled with my new shoes sheets.  As you will see there is one card made with the set already.  Thank you Anne.  What a beautiful card it is. So here we go!

 

This is too funny and Anne you did a great job wow.  You can see that once you open up the card you will see on just one side the bra and the panty

These are brilliant cards Anne I can't thank you enough for the beautiful cards you are sharing with us.  Such an inspiration and I know how much I need it right now.

As Charlotte has already introduced herself yesterday, in the comment box, she wasted no time to share some of her first cards.  I didn't post the ones that were very similar since I need to save space, but we get a great look at the whole card looked like.  Thank you Charlotte.  I can see that you have a great teacher in your Mum in law Lynne ;)

Thank you Craftyanny.  I like our ole Anne rather than the newer one hee hee.  I am sorry that was an honest mistake.  This is why I am asking people to add their name on their card pictures at the very beginning of the filename ah ah.  Since I upload so many pictures in a week time chances are I will make mistakes and it is not something I do on purpose LOL.  My apologies Anne.  Please forgive me :)

I added another sheet + background on the photobucket it is in the manly folder.  It is about soccer if you are interested. Enjoy!

Mai sent us the cat she has made from my sheets.  It is absolutely gorgeous.  The blue is so bright and delightful to the sight.

I like the stitched up card as well you have picked the exact colors to match the cat's eyes and body, wow that sets it off nicely, great job Mai! :)

Last but certainly not least, Angela (Chorley Cake) sent us this gorgeous card made with a shoe sheet and she used the Cuttlebig folder to enhance the already so CHIC Shoes!  Great work Angela!

I am sure this one will rise eyebrows for new ideas! :)

Jo Anne what a beautiful selection of cards you sent us once more.  Wow it is gorgeous.  I love how you make doilies look so luxurious with the hearts cut out on top of it. 

And look at her one stroke painting card.  Amazing!  I find it so beautiful it has more merit since it is completely made from scratch no copyright to worry about just let your imagination work for you.  I love it!

I like the music sheet with the red rose on it, what a nice combination to put together as a card.  Thank you Jo Anne.  Love all you cards, always! :)

Liz C. sent us a card made with one of my latest flowers the red hibiscus.  I absolutely love the way she used the background sheet and sets up the flower in front of an oval shape it makes it look like it is coming out of the window.  Clever!  The ribbon is a must have on this card how nicely completed, very nice!

Pram thank you for your cards.  I know some may scratch their heads about the Christmas cards since it is over but I think Christmas ideas stored in your folder will also be very welcome when the next Christmas comes around but not for a long whilte LOL.  I wanted to make sure I posted all her cards and this is what you get! I am pleased to share more fun cards with you today.  I received one yesterday from Karla she has used my giraffe sheet to make this one and I had to share it immediately.  I hope you enjoy it too!  Thank you Karla, this is a sweet looking card given the fact that I love Giraffes,  koalas and panda bears as well as owls for their cute sad looking eyes!  I know I am weird LOL

Carol (Caz) card is gorgeous pergamano inthe background (time consuming) but enhancing the overall look so very well!  That sheet of mine was one of my very first ones and always thought it was looking romantic.  Valentine's Day is around the corner it is a cute sheet to use.

Another example of card made by Mai with the ZigZag fold we talked about last week.  She also sent me another card she made with a different fold!  It is beautiful and I welcome the ideas for the use of folding for cards.

Mary E. sent us a version of her own Zigzag tile.  She definitely beautified it with her stitching matching the tile and the peel off.  Thank you Mary it is a beautiful card. :)

Naomi had sent a great collection of her cards.  That was the last of the great selection she shared with us for now.  I think the Japanese theme cards are gorgeous, the baby cards are adorable!  Thank you for the shares Naomi. :)

Rose sent us another beautiful card of hers.  Yes it is from my sheet collection, she used the background sheet and voila!  This card was a total success when she gave it away to a family member.  Great job Rose! :)

Monday fun!

  Hi Friends

Here we are another weekend over making room for another beautiful week of cardmaking.  The shares for today are as follows:

Di sent us 3 masculine cards 2 of them made out of Pyramid decoupage and the third one made as a 3D.  I love to show masculine cards as they are as I always say harder to make simply because of running out of ideas much quicker than we do for the female cards.  The two first cards I may have posted before but didn't want to leave it to chance and posted them anyhow.

The secret is, I found them both where they had no business being so I kidnapped them and saved the day hee hee.  Just kidding!  A little humor for a Monday!

I made many Valentine cards, what do you know?  I actualy sat down long enough to come up with ideas for cards.  hee hee  So as soon as I upload them I will post them here.  I was patting myself on the back acknowledging the major positive change I can actually make cards again.  Yippee!

You are welcome to use the comment box at the bottom of each blog day, by clicking on it and follow the instructions it is easy.  You might like to come back and see if there are any comments on your lovely cards so this way you can reply to them as you please.  I also file all the cards of people without an album into one of the 2 folders called friends.

PLEASE READ! :)

I want to thank everyone that have helped me with the small favor I had asked a week or so ago about the filename on your cards you send me.  I explain for the ones who are new to the blog and the ones who didn't have a chace to read this.

When you are done making a card you either take a picture or scan it.  Whichever way you choose to do it, make sure your pictures are the clearest you can get them.  Secondly when you are at the stage where you need to "save picture as" please call it the name I give your cards in here.  i.e.:  Jo Anne new yellow rose.jpg or Jo Anne Birthday 15.jpg most importantly is to call it your name and make sure you are not calling your card the same name twice so the easiest way to do this is to number them.  Jo Anne 3D-15.jpg or Jo Anne stamped 15.jpg

You have no idea how much time you will help me save by doing this for me.  You do not need to add your name on your card itself.  Let me do this part so it is always done the same way for everyone and looks good to always see the same color unless white don't show on your card I will change the color so we can see who made the card.  Thank you in advance ladies and gents.

Saturday with more great goodies! Phyllis's Birthday photos

Hi Friends!

What a day that was.  Small update, my car is going to a scrapyard today.  So since I am without wheels I need to keep the car for errands and today was my facial so I had a nice treat thanks to hubby, I needed the relaxation moment and it was great!

This passed week on Wednesday our Phyllis celebrated her 75th Birthday.  This lady doesn't look her age.  When I get this young I can only wish to look half as good as her.  You will find enclosed a beautiful array of pictures from her luncheon as well as the gorgeous cards she received from all of us.  Happy Birthday Phyllis, this is for you!

Dorothy what a beautiful intricate butterfly made with the Iris folding technique which is definitely one of my favorite techniques. I like the selection of colors and pattern in the paper.  Some peel off was also used to make the card pop up nicely. Thanks for sharing Dorothy :)

It was 2:30 am when I finished preparing all the cards and photos.  If there are more typos than usual you will know why. LOL  I hope I didn't forget anything either.  Well I was happy to be able to post Phyllis's special day for us to view and get inspired by with the gorgeous cards that everyone made with love for our great friend Phyllis!

I feel so good.  All the cards coming in now it is making my head spin from happiness!

Thank you for all the creative ladies who are sharing their talent with us.  A big hug to all of you.

I don't usually do this but today I will start with my newest card! I thought it looked different from the usual note card size I always make.  This is a square card and I used gold embossing powder as well was a red embossed card stock, gold matting, 3D double sided tape and off white.  Gold cording, Judikin heart stamp and glue stick. Start with 8.5 inches X 8.5 inches or 21 cm X 21 cm square for your envelope.  Make the card fit into the inside of this envelope but a little smaller so it fits well.

The third photo is blowing me away these are all the same colored card and envelope but for some reason it looks like a brighter red, scratching head! hee hee

Thursday different technique and link to amazing site

As promised I am going to share two things today.  One fantastic link that Chorley Cake found, this generator was used for a masculine card to show what she had done.  She said that this place on the web is easy to operate (good for all of us - easy and quick) so enjoy, go give it a try you'll see how fun it is.  The sheets I am posting in the misted photos would be excellent to use this site with.  More ideas for you. Really free. :)

Here is Chorley Cake's card that she made with the help of the link shown below.  It looks very masculine and as you mentioned Angela, it is excellent for people you run out of ideas because they are not necessarily into sports this is actually great for the ones you don't know what topic to pick for.  Thank you for the great share Angela! :)

So here is her version of this technique! Thank you Mai for sharing all this info with us!  Mai is part of another fantastic group that shares tea folding and other folds to make cards.  She just wanted to share this with us for new ideas.

I just love the look of this kind of fold and wanted to share all the info with you all so, can I challenge you to make a card with this fold?  I have added another sheet of circle tiles in the photobucket under the folder name (Folding Tile Sheets) after clicking on my work in 3DEE you will find it in there, I may add more later it will depend on how many of you send me a card made out of this technique and it doesn't have to be from my own sheets.  If you find more sheets that you like you can use them I will accept your cards.

Myra sent us two more of her brilliant cards!  Myra used some rubberstamping to make the cards.  She said she isn't much into stamping but wanted to make a few since she has the stamps for the backgrounds.  I think you did a fantastic job with those stamps.  I am sure this will please the stamping addict on the blog!

It is true I agree with all the great comments that the cards are very inspirational for our new projects.  I know I need more inspiration than I can take LOL.  My brain has been in a mushy state for too long.

Mai is also a new addition to our group.  She is showing us her beautiful cards, I may have shown these cards a few days ago but I wanted to add that I will have a fun technique to share with all of you soon.

Thanks to Mai and her generosity she is sharing with us what she has made with paper folding almost like tea bag technique but different.  I will try and post it tomorrow.  I have tried to get permission for a tutorial but haven't gotten a response yet.  So I will post what I can for now and link all of you to the right place to see step by step instructions.  I will also have a great picture of what Mai made out of one of my sheets.

We made it through the weekend yeah!  My car is still not working but being the fact that it is so cold out there, I can wait until it is comfortable for hubby to fix it.  I have received quite a few more cards lately and it is from a lot of newer people that are happy to share their cards with us. Gloria's card was made with TBZ 3D sheets.  Beautiful card the ribbon accentuates the card perfectly matching the color theme so well.  It was finished with peel offs.  Very nice job!

This card made by Phyllis is absolutely stunning!  Great work, Phyllis did use the Iris folding technique to make this stunning heart Pleasantly accentuated with peel off stickers.  The colors make this card the eyes go back to it in admiration.  Thanks Phyllis! :)

Sunday, sharing my received 2007 cards

Hi friends

Here we are, another week nearly over.  What a busy week it has been. I was slowed down by network problems but I think (crossing fingers) it is fixed.  So today since I have the time and have promised this a while ago I will post all the cards I received in the past 6 months the ones that were handmade that is.  So you enjoy them, take note that there are Halloween cards and Xmas but I want to post and file them with the other great looking cards.  So here they all are in no specific reception order.

Just click on each card to see who made them.  I will not comment on all the cards simply because I have a lot, but just know that every single one of them meant the world to us when it all came to us.  All the cards are gorgeous, different styles, techniques and talents which was so appreciated and still are part of my studio on the TOP shelf where the trophee cards are resting nicely!

 

Dora K's kimono Christmas card was slightly damaged on the way here, the Merry Christmas crumbled off the tag.  The mailing system can sometime be cruel to our gorgeous cards :(

I wanted to thank each and everyone of you for sending these fabulous cards throughout 2007 I had more but they were purchased ones which are beautiful too but not for showing on here.

I hope you enjoy them, I know we have enjoyed everyone of them as they came in.

Thank you Mike for sharing your gorgeous work with all of us.  I know you are busy on the road with your crafting supply business and it made it hard for you to share what you make.  I am so glad you could send this much to us.

Mike is from Scotland and has a crafting supply business, I know a sweet friend shops from his business I should say Mike and Sheila and she is always satisfied with his products.  Mike told me that they are preparing a website store at this time and would let me know when it is complete so I can let you know the link and post it in here for future reference.

Friday finally back home!

Hi everyone

What a week it has been and more to come of many appointments next week as well so if you see the blog is late don't worry I am out and about.  The car broke down at lunch so had to wait for my hubby to fix it so we could take it back home for him to fix it better over the weekend and he took off back to work again.  Soooooooooooooo here I am LOL. 

Had my hair cut too!!!!!!!! LOL After 8 years of searching for a good hair dresser I FOUND ONE!!!!!!!!  I  love my hair at last!

Emma is nursing a hand after surgery so she had fun taking this picture, but I understand Emma you get this hand working again but first follow doctor's orders girl!

Anne thank you for your beautiful card as well.  Anne used the misted phto sheet and printed directly on a linen card stock the rose and pearl.  She was saying that the picture doesn't do it justice and that it is much prettier in the flesh which I have no doubt since sometimes colors or details can distort depending on what is used on the card or what type of lighting while taking the picture.  Anyhow, it is gorgeous Anne and thank you again!

Monday and here I am!

Hi Friends

Here I am.  Still playing catch up and wanting to also make sure you all know by now that I need your help.  What I need as I explained last week is when you save your card pictures to call them your name at the beginning like this  Jane S. card for missy.jpg  make sure it is in a JPG format so the blog don't make an indigestion of other file extensions LOL we don't want to upset the blog hee hee.

Well time for the beautiful cards.  Just a few for today I am still working on renaming and resizing it takes a chunk of my time just to do this but I am getting there for you all.

Lynne has sent us more beautiful cards she made and I must say it is quite a collection.  But for today I will share 4 only.  Thank you Lynne for your beautiful work you share with all of us.

Sunday another week over another one begins!

Hi friends

I am so out of breath trying to catch up!  Sorry for not delivering the blog on time or should I say at the same time as usual lately.  I am trying to play house, wife and make cards that I am so behind, reply to all my friends who took the time to write me emails.  I am getting there but I estimated that I am late of about 24 hours so 3 days of work behind. 

Thank you Lynne for your support I appreciate it and you said it I am so appreciative of you and all the ladies who deliver one card a month and in most cases among you, you try to make up for the ones who don't deliver the ONE card asked of them in return of my work that I share so freely by also trusting someone with my Photobucket's content.  So Bless all of you who respects my conditions each month and go out of their ways to share more for the ones who don't!  You ladies rule!!!!!!!!!  thank you.

Almost time to change a few things and make it fair for my wonderful group of ladies!

I will not post today since I have had no time to resize and rename pictures of your cards yet.  But I am starting to see more cards coming in and you will see me tickled pink about it.

Hi Friends!

I will start today by asking you a huge favor for saving me time.  Could you please when you first save your cards to share with us put your name the way I write it in here or on your album if you have one.  For example if you are Jane Ford, please call it Jane F. then the name of the file. 

So to show you what it should look like:

or

Jane F. dscn3476.jpg

Whichever name is quicker for you I will be ok with it.  This should help me save time when resizing your pictures.  Please make sure you save them in JPG format as GIF is not working on this Blog!  I would love to use GIF but my hands are tied and I am sorry for the inconvenience.

The Challenge contest is put on hold for now.  The voting part of it was really poor and when I see I could spend this time on other projects it breaks my heart to limit myself from having fun in other things I love to do.  I am sorry for the ones that were looking forward to participate to the next one, but time and time again I have asked for a bigger participation but I can't do the rest :(  But it's ok you all submit great looking cards and we will enjoy the nice shares coming in no matter if there is a challenge or not.

I want to thank all the ladies who took special time to submit their Challenge cards when it was active.  For the ones who were waiting for the next one, we never know, if I get suggestions I may do something fun if you can think of an idea!

Wednesday 2nd day of the year!

Hi Friends

Here we are well into the New Year, ready to attack more projects of mine and spend much less time on the computer.  I have established new priorities and I will have to respect them to the letter. 

I hope you all had a happy time through the past 2 weeks!  I have, we ate, made jigsaw puzzles, watched movies and ate some more.  Funny how meals seem to be so close together LOL, 5 more pounds later hee hee I have to work out hard to lose that extra.

I am glad I am feeling better today.

Now for the cards I managed to prepare a few for you so here they are.  Naomi D (Australia) sent me a bunch of her cards (Punched out technique cards) I wanted her to show me what she had done so far since she likes this as much as I do.  So here are some of her gorgeous cards and thank you Naomi!!!!!!! :)

I will be making cards today so that means I will NOT answer any emails if some are sent to me.  You can send your cards and will reply when I actually upload them.  Keep your emails as short as possible so it is easy and fast to reply.  I have to do this since I get so many emails and some are very lengthy, so let's keep it concise please.

I am so happy I could make it before the day was over.  I have been under the weather for a while today, yeah I know not a day to be sick you will say right?  Well I always seem to pick the days of interest to be sick LOL.  Well I am here for a bit so I might as well make the best of it.
