Another day off for yours truly

Hi friends

Well I need one more day to finish my cards and more projects that were left behind for so long but this weekend I should post a lot of cards and play catch up with all the beautiful cards I have received this past week WOW ladies!  So Friday is another day off and Saturday you will have plenty of cards to view at last! 

I hope you are all getting along fine without my daily appearances as well as my replies on emails.  I will also try and reply to a few as I am starting to be much later than I had planned.

So that's all for now ladies and keep me laughing with your comments about my being away.  Jackie you win the prize on funnies.  I will need another vacation to recuperate from this one is right. sure looks that way here too.  Thanks ladies for all the cute comments I enjoy them all!

Thursday another day off

Hi Friends

Well I am having to extend my day off to another one.  Projects I had put on hold to keep this blog going and card sharing is so behind that I have to extend my time off from here.  The emails are also late replying to since I am truly away from the PC I know it is hard to beleive but I have removed myself from this room for more than 4 hours at a time which is a huge thing for me.  We also were conveniently cut from our A/C today in the hottest part of the day, we had to leave and go where there was cooler air to come back to still no A/C for another 3 hours.  That had to be one of the hottests days this Summer so we were both not impressed at all. 

I have cards that were sent much before last weekend so when I do get back to share cards the cards that were sent last week will go first and in the order they were received.  So please bare with me I know when they come in and when they should go out.  Thank you for your understanding.  Being busy is fun and won't kill me LOL.

Tuesday's shares! + Instructions on how to rename a photo

Hi Friends

Here we are already Tuesday.  In any event, I have so many more beautiful cards to share.  So here they are for your inspiration! 

Please Read:  I have found some cards that had no name on them so if I have included in any of your cards by mistake please let me know and I will remove them and if you recognize your cards please do the same and let me know so I can make corrections.  I apologize for any confusion. 

When you don't rename your cards in the filename it can go astray in my folder it just happens.  So before you send the picture to me, make sure

1. (right click on the picture you wish to send me), just right click on your mouse, scroll down into the little window to the RENAME option, that will highlight the filename in dark blue.

2. go and type directly into the blue area (that will make the highlighted blue which is the old file name disappear (it's ok), it is making it ready to type your choice of filename) Type your surname and last initial and anything you want to call your card for future references, or make it simple and call them i.e.:  Nicole G 001.jpg  (Do not forget to add the extension= .jpg at the end before typing ENTER.

3. Typing ENTER will close your file renaming function, now your photo is renamed and ready to send it out to whom you want to send it to.

4. If you want to change it redo step 1 to step 3.  By all means practice. don't let me stop you.  This will quickly become second nature to you and very useful sometime when you enter contests they want you to rename your files as well so learning to do this will help you down the road.

Adding a name under a photo in an email doesn't change the name of the file for me, I only pick the photo and save it to my huge folder with all of the cards I get. When you have taken pictures with your camera some will be called DSCN + a # beside it, (DSCN0013.JPG) that's your camera default filename, well this is what you need to change, you can also do this at that stage when you upload all your pictures to your PC to whichever folder you keep your gorgeous card pictures at.

Kara all your cards are so lovely thank you for sharing them.  The bird wreath is one of mu favorites which is one of my sheets if some of you wanted to make this wreath.  I love them all without a doubt your creativity never cease to amaze me Kara well done girl! :)

Here we are at the end of another fast paced week but oh so fun being on vacation.  I have been catching up with emails and a lot of cards I had received that were late of a few days.  I may run late again but just know I am on vacation and there are days I will be gone and will have less time to post them.  So bare with me, all the cards will eventually make it here!

Wednesday Hump day shares!

Hi Friends

Am I ever so late!  I had to put aside 35 email messages addressed to me so if you haven't had an answer from me yet hang in there an answer is coming soon.  We were 2 days and evenings gone in a row so my picking up emails was somewhat limited to a few minutes in the morning before we were on our way out.  We are on vacation for those of you who don't know. 

Until early September I will be slower in my posting on the blog and sheet making simply because I am spending some quality time with hubby, so if you can bare with my schedule which is very uneven at this time I am trying to stay regular in sending you cards to view on a very regular basis. I am still picking up your cards every day this is my priority when I have my coffee, so keep on sending I am keeping track of all of you who are not sending one card a month. Thanks!

So if your cards haven't made them here yet, again hang in there I can only do so much with little time I have to keep up in fact I can't keep up being away so many hours everyday.  I pick up the cards, I store them until I get a moment to resize and rename the ones that haven't been renamed as per asked by me prior to sending them out to me.  More work more time consuming therefore some cards that have no name on them stay behind until I get the extra time to do that work for you.

Ok so having said all of that I need to send you a few cards for today.  They are all gorgeous as ever which makes this so easy for me to be anxious to share the beautiful work people have sent me.  So here we go, time for me to hush and show:

Wow Yorkshire Ann, Gorgeous cards my friend!  I love all of them, such a treat to the eyes!  I have a weakness for bags and shoes so that was the one that caught my eye at first but the rest is absolutely beautiful no doubt! Sue S.  I love the glitter on your card.  This is a lot of work to do as I tried to make one before and I thought it was a lot of work but the result is worth the time put into it.  I beleive that this glitter work was made on acetate, stamped with permanent ink on one side, then on the opposite side, she then glittered one object at a time.  Then glitter face down and stamped side facing you added to a card makes such a great looking card.  I know it looks stunning in the flesh as photos sometimes are not doing justice to most cards.  Thank you Sue! Di marvelous cards as usual!  I am so thrilled with your twisted pyramid card, yellow and pink roses.  The first card is also brilliant.  Do I dare to guess that this is Chloe when little?  She is adorable.  I bet she is turning out to be a beautiful young lady!

That's all for today ladies!  I should have more time to prepare more cards for tomorrow and unfortunately I have had no chance to make any new sheets this week.  I have about 50 new images to 3D but had no time to do so yet.  But like someone told me last week, "It's not like we don't already have enough to play with Nikky?"  And yet so true.  There are more than 3000+ sheets and backgrounds and yet I don't see many of them made into a card at least here.

If you post your cards to the CoC or Image-Nation ladies and you don't send me your cards at craftynikky@gmail.com that means you are not respecting the one card a month promise you made me.  I will say this again, I DO NOT go to the forums and pick up your cards for you.  You have the responsibility to send them to me.  If I visit the forums when I do visit them it is purely to make comments on the beautiful things I see that all the ladies are making.  So please, take the habit to send me cards made out of my sheets to myself first and then to the forums, this way you will not leave me out of your initial agreement.  I value people and that hold their word.

Did anyone hear from Lynne C.?  She was posting comments just about everyday and sending us beautiful cards for the longest time and now I don't even know if she is ok or what she is doing....strange!

Edna M.  Your Big 60 is lovely the darker blue background really makes the light blue pop up nicely.  Stickers and flowers are making this card complete in the best of ways!  The flower card is also very beautiful I can guess that a scor-pal was used in the background it is a great look! More of my cards!  The owl I cut it with my cutting machine and went to find a real moon picture to print out and I added it to the back of the silhouette owl for a more realistic effect.  My swiss dots folder was at work again. As for the sheets for this week I had no chance to make any.  Since some of you already know, we are on vacation here for a few more weeks I am doing more things with hubby rather than on the computer so I do the blog, answer a few emails, pick up the new cards to share and when I get a chance I will make more sheets I promise.  I plan on making a few new sheets for next week.  I appreciate your understanding for taking a break from this madness of a schedule I made for myself hee hee.  Thanks!

Two more cards I try to make good use of every stamp I have when I feel I have ideas for them.  I try to make them look feminine or masculine as you see them displayed today.  Here is one of the many cards I am making these days.  They are made from Stampin' Up rubberstamps and I added some glitter to the bottom card's heart and the always circle. Hi Friends and Happy 4th of July US visitors!
