Monday's beautiful card shares!

I hope you all had a nice weekend.  I was busy trying to make another bunch of new sheets for you.  So instead of waiting for next weekend, I will UPDATE again soon, I don't know exactly when, it will be for you to visit regularly to find out when I add them.  So keep on popping in!  Watch for UPDATE in title!

  Karen C.         Kate once again, more beautiful cards.  I tried to make them less blurred and this is what I could come up with.  The baby laying there in the card looks like a real one.  Fascinating!  :)

Jo Anne that card is so pretty.  I was smiling big when I saw it.  As you remember I was asking what you had used in the middle of the Cuttlebug flowers.  She used the glitter pen inside and as much as I tried to take a clear picture to see the shimmering in the flowers.  Gorgeous!  Thank you Jo Anne, well done!

Thursday's shares!

Here we are, all the cards I will post tomorrow have been sent since I returned from my last week of vacation.  If you have sent cards in the month of September and haven't seen them posted please resend them as I might have deleted them accidentally, it can happen, when I am so swamped with so much to catch up on. 

For those who I may have done such a thing, I apologize, but I mean it, please resend them.  I will immediately process them and post them up tomorrow or the next day after you send them to me.

Here are my own cards for today, Enjoy!

 

Nikky's card with instructions

I have already posted this one in CoC forum.  It was greatly commented upon as I also received so many PM about it, I will describe how I made it.  Thank you ladies for your kind words on my card.

You need:

Two different blue hue card stock, peel offs one of butterfly, one of oval transparent and glittery sheet, lines around the card, that is sold on www.stonebridgecreations.com a friend of mine sells them.  They sell tons of peel offs go see them and tell them who sent you to them "Nikky"

Iridescent 6 in. or 15 cm long ribbon, acetate for butterfly and the thank you oval peel off. A little piece of acetate for butterfly and oval backing.  Blue permanent marker for the back of the butterfly.

Rubber Stamp called: Single Hyacinth, SR1075-K Shirley Rainman 2008 new stamp, Make an impression Inc.  (425) 557-9247

Or easy to make from scratch, you don't need a stamp.  You will need the illustrated punch or similar, but you need a small flower punch for sure.

You will need a glossy card stock with or without texture.  Textured green to make leaves or color white card stock in green the same goes for the flower pot.

Alcohol inks (Ranger's) I used the blue and green of his collection of inks, the pouncer with pads to squirt the ink on before applying it to the glossy paper. For the speckled matted background (not mandatory) you can use your own decorative paper

Stylus and foam pad.  1 Stickles bottle for flower center.

---> Instructions:  Cut out in 2 colors all the flowers you will need (equal amount) with your stylus fitting the appropriate size of the flower you are working with in a circular motion on the foam pad you will give it a cute cup shape.  Repeat for all the flowers you have on hand.  Wait to use stickles when all the flowers are glued in place on the card.

Explaning the Alcohol inks I used.  The stumper tool that comes with the alcohol inks as well as the felt looking rectangles that goes onto the stumper tool.  Squirt gently the ink to the felt making sure the 2 colors are spread out the way you want it.  I personally like to work with one color at a time and change the felt pad for each color.  Better look at the end.

I added acetate to the back of my butterfly as well as the oval glittery transparent peel off so it is used as a tag.  I stamped the thank you with blue stazon (careful as the peel off is very slippery with a rubberstamp on it.  So make sure you line up and bring the rubberstamp down without rocking it.  (Alternate to using a rubberstamp) You can print off the computer a thank you or Happy Birthday to size on white paper, glue to the back of the peel off, or just print out your sentiment and cut it out in the shape of your choice to mat with matching colors.

The tiny matching corners it was simply a remnant from a cut piece I just made 4 small squares and adhered them to add some interest to the flower layer.

The rest of the card is straight forward as I expect that you will put in your own creativity to it.  But this is it!  Enjoy!

More of my own cards I am sharing with you.  The two cards you see here made out of mice rubberstamps that were made in class while I was away on vacation.  The teacher's name was Irena Blount.  Both cards are pop up cards we made that day.  Jo Anne H. and I had a great time making them. Watercolor technique was used for the stamped images and some nestabilities were also used.  It was my first time using them, I liked it, it was loads of fun.

This card I saw somewhere, sorry I can't remember where otherwise I would say from whom.  I made my own version of it, so it is not the same.  This is what I call my quilted with Cuttlebug folders card.  It is so much better in person.  But I also had to use my sewing machine, so if you were to get inspired by this card and make your own, make sure you have one mat to adhere your squares to before you go and sew them all together.  One row at a time is best.

Sunday's beautiful cards

Here we are on the verge of a new week getting us closer to Chistmas, I know I don't want to beleive it either but it is time to start our preparations for the holidays.  In the meantime I love seeing the cards that have already been made for the coming season.  Halloween is also in the middle of that madness so please feel free to start sending those cards as well.

I have finally received all the newest folders of Cuttlebug I had pre-ordered.  It took 3 months and will not order through this company again full of silly, I am not an idiot, excuses LOL.  I hope you all had a chance to get the ones you wanted.  I would love to see what you have made with your new Cuttlebug folders/dies.  We need ideas ladies!

Oh it is so nice to be back and read all the emails wishing me well and the comments welcoming me back.  I was happy to know I was missed also.  I missed all of you as you are part of my Internet family so we are happy to be home again. 

As you already know being away brings catch up days ahead of me so I will start posting a few cards for your enjoyment.  I have lost track of when the cards have been sent in so I will post as it comes to me.  But the blog is in progress again!

I hope you are all healthy, Christmas madness will soon be upon us and I know a lot of you have started their cards for this coming Christmas.  I am happy to say that I have a huge selection of 3D sheets waiting for you to use.  I will add a few more when I get the chance right now my priority is to post all the gorgeous cards you have sent me in the passed 2 weeks.

I can finally display Sue's Birthday pictures that took place a few weeks ago.  As usual I also added all the cards she received that same day!

Well ladies I am so thrilled to show your beautiful cards off on here.  All of them are so gorgeous.  I am happy to share them with all of us.  I hope you all enjoyed their cards and once again it was a pleasure to be part of Sue's Birthday from here, it felt like I was part of the party too!

A note to the ladies I spent time with on the crafting day at Phyllis while we were vacationing in California last week.  I would like to tell Jo Anne, Phyllis, Sue, Hildegard, Gloria, Karen, Valerie, Dora, and Rose how much fun it was to get together again.  I had a great time making the ribbon cross with you. I was delighted to spend time with you again.  As for the ladies that couldn't make it that day, I missed you.

A special thank you goes to Phyllis who once again, shared her home for all of us to have fun with what we enjoy doing, you are the best!!!!!! :)

It was the final product, the cross to use for Easter or Sympathy cards.  Jo Anne shows us what it looks like when the ribbon does match the card stock.  The white plastic canvas stands out nicely in this picture.

Hi Friends (Please read)

Hi Friends!

Here we are already Wednesday barely 4 days after my return from our vacation.  I am writing this note today to let you know that we are leaving again for another week on Friday.  So there is very little time for me to get the cards posted I will do my best by sending some cards on Thursday's blog.  I will not be able to comment on them but the name will be next to each card sender. 

I am hoping that by the 16th I will be able to get more cards out on the blog or each time I can I will.  I appreciate your understanding.  Sometimes there is just not enough time for everything and now it is one of those times for us here.

Please tell everyone you know that is sharing on here to hold their emails for 2 weeks.  I must also ask something else.  As much as I like to read jokes in emails, I am finding it impossible to go through my large amount of emails received after specifically asking to not send any until my return.  So pass on the message and I will take cards again on Sep 22nd.  So please abstain from sending me any jokes I will only delete them without reading them as there is no time for me to play right now.

Since we got back and before we left I have received gorgeous cards from so many people and just know that it may take longer to see them posted on here but I will post them as soon as I get enough time to share them with everyone.  I hope I get your support and understanding I will do my best as soon as I am able to.  Just a few more weeks!

I will send you a quick email telling you I received your beautiful cards, no need to reply unless you have to.  Let's keep my mailbox from getting up too high, gee it scares me when I see all the mail I have ahead of me, but it warms up my heart to see how you are all so considerate and generous in sharing your beautiful cards with all of us.

Check the blog I will still post some things on there to keep you informed when I can.  I will look after the password requests when I get back as well.

Holiday Monday we are back!

Hi friends

Just a quick note to let you all know we happily survived Tropical storm Gustav and we are back home to see it coming again from the other end of it.    Funny to see that we can be in a huge storm for 2 days, come home and see it coming again but if we get anything here it will be buckets full of rain and some winds from its remnants, but that is ok.  I am keeping the Louisiana people in my thoughts and prayers so Gustav will be gentle on them.

I have not replied to much of the emails I have received yet since we are just enjoying the holiday weekend together and relaxing from that fun, exciting, and scary week we had but overall we had 4 days of paradise and hot weather in Jamaica.

Will start replying soon but I feel I returned with some Jamaican mentality no hurry mon as they always say hee hee.  So there! 

Just so you know we are back home and happy to be here again.
