Friday's beauties + Make a sick child happy with your cards!

Here we are another weekend already here!  Where does the time go?  It is amazing how time flies where we are having fun!  I hope you have good weekend plans inside and outside of your home.  I know here we have been having unseasonably warm weather all week and we do appreciate it, we might go somewhere this weekend for a fun day just don't know where or perhaps we will just stick around by the pool here.

As promised please find the newest sheets in the following folders in my caffeinelady PB:

I added (71) sheets and matching backgrounds. Flowers, Baby, Birthday, Valentine's, Easter, Women, Humor, Angels, St-Patties Day, Butterflies, and *Background (New category)

* Background category: is from backgrounds I find in my PC that has no names or some backgrounds I may make myself.  There will not be many in that category but the ones added will not belong to any sheets in particular.  The 3D sheets & backgrounds matching will still be around the 3D you pick under the same filename as the 3Dsheet but I add vellum at the end of the file.  So when trying to match a sheet, look for the same name+vellum1,2,3, or 4 in some cases.  Most sheets have at least one background to match.  It could be in plaid motifs so look at the filenames.

Tuesday's treasures!

Hi Friends

As you probably have already noticed, lately I chose to add different cards made out of different techniques outside of 3D decoupage cards.  The conditions still applies for what you have agreed upon when you first joined us though. 

Since there has been a few questions regarding the amount of cards allowed to be posted per person, here is what you should know:  The main reason why I have started this blog was to have a mean to showcase the cards made out of my sheets, now with all the new techniques and the newest tools out on the market gaining great popularity among you, I thought I should share different card techniques/media as well.  I do enjoy the making of boxes ie: Artsy Fartsy style, cutting machine style, Cuttlebug... but I would prefer to stay with paper made items.

So what I am saying is, if you have a cutting machine and you would love to share what you are able to make with it, please share.  I will post them out here but the priority will always be 3D decoupage cards you made out of my sheets + IF, tea bag folding + Cutting machines of any brand + Rubberstamping is huge in USA, Pergamano, Stitching, Stitching and beading (other favorites of mine), One stroke painting cards, etc...

Try and limit your amount of shares to 12 cards a week, so it gives a chance to other cardmakers that are making a card a month to shine also!

My aim is to carry all medias so if you are an avid IF or tea bag folding card maker you will also enjoy coming here to get some inspiration outside of decoupage.  That applies for other medias/techniques as well.

Make sure you rename your cards you are sending me if your camera gives you for example a DSCN002.JPEG kind of filename, you need to personalize it by adding your name in front of the number ie.: Melanie DSCN002.JPEG

Make sure you don't send me any pictures with the GIF file extension because the blog doesn't digest them, it refuses to even show them on the blog.  

I want everyone reading this to know that cards shared on this blog are from beginners to professional level.  All cards are beautiful we all began as a beginner and with encouragement from friends and family we strive to do better and better, with patience we all get there eventually.

Thank you for participating in such a large number ladies.  One can consider herself lucky to have such a great group that stays in touch with me on a weekly or monthly basis. Thank you!

One last request from all of you without exception.  I do not mind sharing my sheets with people that ask me by email and are not a monthly member with me.  Lately I was approached by a Forum member making me aware of this: Some people constantly ask for files/templates/sheets because they liked a card they had seen either on my blog or on one of the Forums out there.  Just realise that if every decoupage maker has conditions like my own to not be allowed to share my sheets without permission, by doing so you are putting this person, you are asking something from, on the spot!  We all like to make friends online especially when it is something like cardmaking that we are so passionate about.  Just be sure that when you ask, you are making it easy for the person to abide by their prior commitments to other's conditions they already agreed upon when they obtained a password from them so they can enjoy their work. 

Perhaps when we ask, we should ask if we could be referred to the designer of that decoupage design sheet originated from so he/she can decide if they will share their work with you. Anyway, I had to let everyone know that it is not always easy to share everything.  I know when I promise someone I will respect their wishes, I certainly have pride in living by my word.

Sorry about the length of this note but it had to be done so a lot of new ladies are aware of what is expected of everyone and how quickly and regularly things/rules/conditions/expectations on my blog and some forums as well.

I have a special request I have to ask 4 of you.  SueD, Wendy G., Mandie LJ., Ann J. when I downloaded your pictures to my folder I usually save all photos at, I could not unzip your card pictures.  This is why you haven't seen you pictures here yet.  Could you please resend them to me so I can put them on the priority list to share the next day.  I would appreciate your time on this.  Sorry, I just can't understand why it is not opening, it got me scratching my head for a few days now.  But I decided to solve the problem by asking hee hee.  Thanks for your understanding.
