Monday's beautiful cards shared with us. (Got little info about COC)

Hi Friends

I had a few questions asked about the Circle of Crafters Forum.  Some of you might not know that COC for short, has been hacked over a week ago some not well to do hackers were trying to grab the site (for lack of better words) to somewhere in Russia, I won't get into any details but Bobbylynn was trying to get it fixed and had decided to close the Forum for a week hoping it would be solved sooner than later.  Just wondering since it has been a week if there has been any other updates on the situation?

If any of you have heard more about if it has been fixed or any other estimate of when they will open....whichever news you may have from COC mods, could you please send it to me by email and I will in turn post it on my blog for all to see.  This way if there are any questions people asking will be able to come and find out the latest.  Thank you ladies.  I appreciate your help in this matter.

About CofC - I saw Carolivy on Yahoo messenger Monday morning Australian time, and asked her if she knew when the site would be up and running again.   Carol said possibly not for another week!!  It was taking Bobbilynn longer than she anticipated to get the site right again. Thank you Jan for letting us know what you heard.

Here we go for another round of gorgeous cards to come this week.  The card reception has slowed down considering it is the middle of the month.  So there will be less to view each day until the beginning of the month.  I am dying to start making cards like all of you.  Time to play, I am hoping to try Pergamano I have everything to start on my desk and I can't touch it, but today I will be.  I hope my video viewing will have taught me how to do it right.  I will post my first card when I get it done.  Bare with me, it can be a week.

Here we are at the end of a busy week.  I hope you have enjoyed what was shared and what I was able to post here for you.  Thank you for commenting on the cards for me.  That saves me some time to prepare all the cards for the next day.

One small request for the ones who don't add their names to their cards.  Please change the filename before you send them to me.  Sometimes with the load of cards I receive, there are cards that don't stay together because they don't all start by your name.  If you put your name at the end of the filename it goes all over the place and not all together in my folder.  As a result I may make mistakes that is fortunately a fair thing since we all are humans, and human err. hee hee

Thursday's gems

Hi Friends

Thursday is already here.  I had another busy week.  Yes, I had more appointments, Eye Doctor hee hee, flu shot and more.  But I stayed on top of things better this week.  I am hoping to get a few more minutes to make 3D sheets again soon.  I am having a hard time finding new images to make for you.  Fortunately with the thousands of 3D I already made, there is quite a bit to choose from (Especially Christmas).  But I am looking for more Christmas images I haven't done yet.  If you happen to have a few images you would like me to 3D please write at craftynikky@gmail.com and send me the images, it has to be clear and a good quality design/image.

Thank you for all the gorgeous shares!  It keeps on coming in by the dozen and I love what I see each time.  I love the positiveness of this group and the encouragement through your comments to everyone.  What is so much fun is that there is no attitude or snobbiness here and I don't even have to ask for it.  Thank you ladies, you are so beautiful inside and out.

Now, I have flaws.....hee hee, yes I do... I may not have identified some of the cards properly.  I tend to do this when I start getting all sorts of cards that are not identified.  So when they show up in the bunch I have without your name on them it raises a lot of question marks as I will try to identify by taking a chance it is right.  But if I was wrong, please forgive me and please send me an email with the proper correction.   I will try and change the mistake as soon as I can.

  Phyllis K. Well done Phyllis.  This is another example of the coffee filter rose I had mentionned about a while ago when I was sharing my own version of it when emailing me for it.  Phyllis you are all set for the Wedding this card will be a keepsake for the lucky couple. Thanks :)

This is for those who have asked me for my Windows 7 opinion:

So yes, I am back. Some things are faster and some aren't yet because I have to get used to a new keyboard and the way Windows 7 Ultimate works, but so far I am learning while playing.

Some of you has asked me what I think of Windows 7, well I am enjoying it.  I would describe it as, (being the owner of a laptop with Vista) it is Vista finished in a much better version than ever.  If you are a visual person you will love all the new ways to look at images the auto changing gorgeous pictures on the desktop wallpaper, you can use transparency for the outside window frames instead of a solid color and so on.  Just keep in mind that a new OS means you have to go to Microsoft and run the compatibility test so it checks out if your printer, scanner and other hardware you have, will be compatible with this new version (highly recommended). It should take a few minutes before it renders a report to you.

If it says there are compatibility issues, you know to wait before you get Windows 7 installed. Or, perhaps it is that the hardware you have is older and this company in question on their website, will tell you after searching for your model number and such, if they are making a driver for Windows 7 or stopping the production of drivers for your product. That is possible.  You need to know that before hand.  Just be well prepared before you take the plunge to Windows 7.

It is also normal to get new drivers for your new OS, most of them you will have to go to the i.e.: EPSON, or Canon, etc... and check for downloads for new drivers for your hardware to run smoothly with Windows 7.  Thinking you can get Windows 7 installed and have it to run without doing anything to get it all updated and running again is not realistic. 

I personally love it and you will not read a negative word from me.  I trust some people out there will find a way to bash and criticise it on the first release day.  I am happy with it.  I will not get into the teckky section of it, I don't feel like it and I want to keep you all awake hee hee.

Thursday's no card share, please read;

Hi Friends

Well as I told you a few days ago, I am in the process of transferring all to my Windows 7. I am causing myself some undue stress trying to transfer everything so I can do the blog from Windows 7, but because I am rushing it all, I am shooting myself in the foot.  I actually been productive as I have made all sorts of mistakes, as a result I spent the whole day undoing all my snags. 

It was a nightmare chain of event, then "poof" went my Internet Explorer 8, it went MIA on me.  So I had to return to XP and write from there.  Due to this situation, I will not post pictures today and possibly on Friday either, I want to concentrate on one thing.  I know that once I have everything transferred to Windows 7 I will be productive enabling me to share all the cards I have in store for you.

So check again on Friday because if all goes well on Thursday I may resume all activities.  So much to be done with file and software transfers, re-installing all my tools I work with on a daily basis.

Please keep your emails to a minimum in fact if you could remain from sending me any cards or emails until Monday I would be so appreciative.  Thank you for understanding.

I also have a new printer coming in on Friday.  One that can print posters 13" inches X 19" inches, it was on my wish list!  Thanks to hubby that is my official Birthday present.

Moving to Windows 7 is going well.  I had a few updates to make with some of the hardware but that is normal each and every time it is a must do.  But slowly and surely I will get there.  I love the graphic ability I see with this new Windows.  We can use transparency for the top and bottom instead of having them in a specific deep color as before.  It is nice!

Additional info.  My husband and I have finally installed Windows 7 on my PC, I also have Windows XP in another partition so it gives me a chance to transfer my hardware and software to 7 securely without missing a beat.  So I am a little slower now because I have to solve this since I had accumulating issues on Windows XP so since we have has a pleasant experience with the BETA version of Windows 7 we feel safe to go ahead and make the big move.  So bare with me as I am moving along with the newest and so far it is so much better, I love it.

That makes me ask all of you to please when you send me emails with your gorgeous cards to try and keep your emails very short.  I am really playing more catch up time then play time and I have run out of cards to send my friends and family lately from lack of playtime.  So keeping your emails short and to the point it will allow me more time to get organized without too much interruptions until further notice. Thank you for understanding. 

That also explains why there hasn't been many 3D sheets posted lately so all of that time adds up and affects my producing some cool stuff for all of you to use.  So being that I am taking it easy, (trying to) I am hoping to get a few sheets done this week, with your help of course. :)

Happy Monday friends

I had a fantastic Birthday on Saturday.  I should rather say the whole weekend was a fun event.  Dinners at the restaurant, surprises, last night he baked a Birthday cake for me from scratch, flowers, and so on.  Hubby has outdone himself again.  I'd say once again he's a keeper, but then I say that every day of the year anyway.  Never taking who he is, his wonderful heart and personality for granted!

Hi Friends

Well since it is my Birthday tomorrow and I have no clue what to expect hee hee, I thought, well, I better add all the sheets in the PB today so I don't forget them.  Please find them all in the following folders: 

Dolls, Vintage Stuff, Wedding, Christmas, Humoristic, Animals, From babies to toddlers, Flowers, Halloween, Owls, General, background sheets seperate from 3D sheets.

I have added 109 items, that included 3D sheets, matching backgrounds, other backgrounds.  So you go and see if there is anything to inspire you for your next card.

Thursday's shares. Adding pictures of the craft show
