Thursday's wee bit news

Hi Friends

For all of you who love the Tilda and Edwin rubberstamps, I will be bringing more images of Tilda cards to the blog in 2010 so if you have any in your stamp collection get them out and start coloring them. But I am not saying it will all be Tilda's, on the contrary it will include any stamps you may have, you love to use,  I know I have been purchasing Tilda's for a long time and I have a great collection of them but I can't stop getting more and more so if you are like me, and you live in the USA I will soon have an extra place for you to shop for them.  I will also look for any stores that sells then in Australia and in England.  I am ready to advertise some of your favorite places to shop online that you trust. So please if you have any trusted source of online stores you can buy them at, please let met know so I can ask them if I can add their logo to my blog.

Now is the time for suggestions of any kind.  I aim to find more to inspire you all in 2010, but I can't do it all without your input.

Please do not send anymore cards until you get the chance to read the blog on Jan. 4th 2010.

Good and much different changes are coming, not the look of the blog as of yet, but that too will change when I get the chance to reacquaint with my blog setups.

Wednesday, December 23rd, UPDATES to photobucket

Hi Friends

I have been away for a while.  As you know I have moved to a new place.  Settling in has not been easy as we are still working on solutions for the things we are not satisfied with.  Language barrier makes things tedious and patience is required as well.  I am working on all of that hee hee.

So instead of coming back as I had talked about in my previous blog I will come back next Monday.  Now I hope you will all read this or encourage the ones who share cards with us as well come and see what's new.

I have updated the Photobucket (Caffeinelady) I have added 49 sheets you probably have already seen and some that I have not posted day after day for a while.  You will find them in animals, fairies, women, Christmas, owls, dolls, and music.  These sheets except for one or two in Christmas have no vellum or background sheets with them.  I will not make backgrounds unless I feel it is going to be looking tremendous with the 3D or if you are absolutely sure you could use a background I will make one for you.  Providing I have the time to make it as well.

2010 brings changes!  I will do things differently in the New Year so I can get a little extra time for what I absolutely love to do as you already know, it is cardmaking.  I have been unable to make cards seems, like forever now, but I want to start the year with changing my blog a little.  The details will be explained to you on January 4th. So be sure to come back and see what's new. 

In the meantime I still have all the cards that have been shared to me and have not been posted on here yet and plan to share them later.  The ideas will all still be good for next Christmas so not to worry.  But I plan on focusing more on cards sent that have different techniques, old techniques, old mixed with the new, focusing more on what is trendy as well as giving more info about the work.  I will try this as I am hoping it will bring new interests for all.

I want to refocus on cardmaking and rather than feeling rushed on making them I would love to have more time to create different things I have rarely had the time to do for years now.  So there might not be a new blog every day but there will be regular ones for sure.  3 to 4 a week but I want time to dedicate to cardmaking more than just posting all of your lovely cards that I continue to admire all the time.  So let see how that goes.  I will write more details on January 4th. 

In the meantime my dear friends,  each and everyone of you, I want to take this opportunity to Wish you a Merry Christmas and the Happiest New Year ever!  I will talk to you soon!

Wednesday's news!

Hi Friends

Just to let you know, we have moved in to our new place.  Oh how happy we are! I had promised some news as soon as I would have some for you so here it is....

We are both so happy to be at the end of this everlasting month (journey) that we have survived.  It sure has tested our patience, our strength, our ability to stay awake longer than we wever thought it was possible, and how out of shape I am not, anymore. hee hee.  But, we are doing well, considering what we have done in that period of time.

What was so much fun, other than getting everything sorted out once we arrived, was to find out that the Internet was already in place as well as the landline phone connection. How fun!  All we had left to do was to turn on our laptops to connect, excellent news, among other good things of course. We were too tired to even look at our emails...

So all went well until we were done unpacking, when suddenly we lost our power!!!! Oh Dear I thought!  We don't have a flashlight, nothing to see our way around our new place which we are not totally familiar with yet.... (watch out for our toes I said!) it was also going to be hubby's Birthday coming midnight (yesterday), I strategically had placed his card and a battery operated cupcake with a flickering candle on top in a spot I knew I wanted to give it to him.  So it suddenly became his Birthday a little less than an hour earlier) when I realized we could use his present as a flashlight (litterally) to find the main breaker. (I can be clever sometimes, hee hee)  So after 10 minutes of searching we were unsuccessful but at least Hubby was happy with his Birthday card and his no calorie cupcake hee hee.

The electrical problem will be fixed today.  At least we have light and we can use the Solar heated water system for shower time in one of the bathrooms.  Long live the sun, hee hee

All of this to say, we are happy to be here at last.  Yes, Hubby finally had the pleasure to get a real Birthday cake yesterday (one with real calories in it)

I will take the remainder of the week to rest, get more work done around the place so we can make it more homey and such.  (a lot of shopping to come, not for crafts yet).  Next week I should be able to get back to some normalcy.  I will try to share more cards and/or more 3D sheets, all depending on where I decide to set my priorities for one day!

Today is the day we are reaching our destination.  I am sure we are both tired so this is a day I won't have that many cards to share because this has been done on Sunday night before I had the pleasure to spend more time with all of my friends in California. 

For the ladies that has sent me more cards between the dates I had asked not to send any it will be a week before I send more.  This move is asking of me a lot of time and attention so bare with me for another week and things will start getting back to my normal hee hee.

I had some time to make more sheets to entertain you while I am not here.  I hope you can find some use for them.  I will also as soon as I get back into things, include all the sheets from the passed month into the photobucket.  I will also let you know in what folder they were put into to save you time searching for them.

I will add some pictures of my visit with my friends when I get a chance.  Thanks

Hi Friends

Another fantastic week over, a new one will begin, it is bringing us a little closer to Christmas.  I hope you are not too deep into baking, preparing for receptions, take a deserved break, make a few cards to relax you. hee hee

Just as a reminder if you have missed a few blogs when I asked to not send me any cards after Dec. 1st this is a reminder only. You can start again after Dec. 15th  I will not acknowledge reception of your cards until I am ready to start posting cards again after you start sharing on the 15th I mean.  In the meantime I am trying to add a sheet a day for you. 

I had just purchased a beautiful pen tablet since my very old one had decided to no longer work.  When we did a lot of packing and sorting, after coming back from a Dentist's visit, I then realized that my valuable pen tablet had been packed and shipped. :(

I have a backup system but it is a mini one, so making sheets with this one is a little tricky but it won't stop me. hee hee

Hi Friends

I had a few minutes at last after setting up my laptop to my normal work that I do to resize all of your beautiful cards and to make sheets as well.  It took a few hours of setting this all up but at last I can get on with sharing a little at a time until we get to our final destination.

We drove 8.5 hours to get here in New Mexico for a few days when we were in Arizona before.  Next step is to go to California during the weekend, then we are coming bac here around Tuesday next week.  LOL we are traveling quite a bit now but we should be home on Dec 14th for a good while hee hee.  Thank you for your patience so today I am sharing a few cards and more to come tomorrow as I have more time to work on a few more cards and more sheets.

Angela to reply to your lovely comment, I have known for a while I would be traveling so I was able to make a few sheets ahead of time for now.  Today is an exception I have no sheet to post but will get more tomorrow or Friday.  So Angela my secret is out, I am not Superwoman hee hee.  It is a nice thing to want to be though.
