Hi Friends
After so many times trying to make one single card with all the Tilda's I had colored before we received our shipment, here is one I am happy with because I finally got one done, to start is the hardest part then the second and so on gets better and easier, me thinks.
Here is how I made my little Tilda!
Birthday Tilda by Nicole:
I colored my Tilda as follows: I used Copic pen for the skin YR61 or YR00 or R02, then I took a prismacolor pink and lightly colored her cheeks, then I used Odorless Mineral Spirits with a paper stump to stretch the pink to a natural look then took a white Opaque pen and added a white dot on each of her cheek to add some dimension to her little cute face. The rest of the body was colored with my Prismacolor set. I then added some stickles in the areas you can see in the photo.
As for the rest of the card's body: I cut a white cardstock 10 inches X 5 inches or 25.5 cm X 12.5 cm for the card part. Then I chose a beautiful blue and cut it to size to use as a backing mat. Then I used more white to mat on top of the blue. I used the Stampin Up ink "so safron" with a finger sponge and sponged colored the edges as well as putting round dots with the sponge where I chose to add some. Then I used the Cuttlebug corner die and added 2 stones on each corner, as well as another CB die with Happy Birthday that I also matted so safron behind the blue.
Flower details: I took the smallest Sakura punch and a stylus to cup the petals, then a small sun punch and cupped it on a foam pad with a stylus to get it to shape into a tiny circle with the pointy ends up. Then added a small dab of white glue to adhere the little sun in the center of the flower. The leaves are simply cut in a fold with scissors, to the desired length (keeping in mind the size of the small flowers that will sit on them. I used a Martha Strewart fence punch to add the flowers on top of it. Added some stickles (crystal) my favorite inside the cupped sun shape.
Behind Tilda: I used a Nestibilities (Oval shape large enough to sit Tilda in it) then with a Martha Stewart punch (can't recall the name) I punched out long enough of it to enable me to glue it to the back of the oval. Make sure it is not very wide. The narrower your punched out design you use the more pliable it will be without breaking. Then apply a very skinny line of glue behind the back of the oval by taking the time to do it so it is to your liking. Worth taking the time you need. I added more white to mat the blue oval and inked the edges again.
I hope you enjoyed my card and description, it was so much fun doing it, it took me approximately 2 hours to complete her card, but it was so much fun.
