Hi Friends
Already Tuesday for me and Monday for all of you still. Just to let you know that all the cards I post here from time to time I really enjoy receiving and sharing. It is a treat for the eye to see them all lined up with pride when I preview the blog before sending it out to you all. I appreciate your being here every day coming to see what has been shared, so I am a proud medium, in showing all of the cards you are happy to share with us. Thank you.
Since I have been so busy socializing lately as some of you might already know, I am getting out of most groups I am participating in, and some that I can't stay from being way too depressing to read every day so that should give me more fun time to do my things, for you all who has known me for years, you know how happy go lucky type lady I am so you know that I keep my head up high and always try to make lemonade out of lemon so I hope by you coming here every so often helps you smile and gives you some crafting jolt by seeing what is current out there for cards. Just know that when I see comments left in my comment box, these are savored moments that I cherish every day. So, the good you send will always come back to you, I have fun letting you know how valuable your cards are and how precious all of them are because they are made from your heart, now that's true beauty to me.
A beautiful wedding card that Joan (Hobbit) made for her daughter:
I used a digi stamp by "karensdoodles", called "Wedding Dance" I love making the easel cards, as they are so much fun. I used a piece of Scarlet Red Bazzill cardstock for the front design piece. I also cut a 2" piece to be used for the inside of the card. I cut a piece of textured black, with my Spellbinders Label Eight and after coloring my Bride & Groom with Prisma Water colors, I cut them out and mounted them to the Black Label Eight. Before mounting my Scarlet design paper, to the main card, I added a piece of black ribbon, and attached some black & red mesh curly ribbon from (Paper Wishes) with (dental floss colored black with a Sharpie marker) on the right side of the black ribbon. I then mounted the black label to the front of the red design piece. To finish off the front, I added red pearls in different sizes, and Black Congratulations peel offs. For the inside base, I used the 2" Scarlet cardstock trimmed with the textured black & 3 red pearls to hold the card upright. I then added the Bride & Grooms name in Black peel-offs. It was fun to make and I also used it for a Challenge "karensdoodles" was having for fancy folded cards.
Wendy G. shares with us her beautiful stitched card:
I used a lovely spring yellow for the base card, then I hand embroidered the tulips and the words using a machine embroidery thread, it has a sheen to it. The pattern is a form-a-lines one.
Jill (Australia) shared such a beautiful Parchment card with us, have a look:
This is a wedding card I made it is a Christine Coleman pattern (I love her patterns) It is traced in white pencil and embossed on the back. The flowers are coloured with woodless blending pencils just lightly I have added a small pearl in the center of the 5 small flowers, the horseshoe is done on a fine grid with small flowers done with the star tool and a dot in the center, the insert is a deep pink pearlescent card.
Maureen G.'s card and description, what a stylish one too:
I made this card for my sister and her husband for their wedding anniversary next week. The image and the two backing papers are from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion Triple CD. To make the card I put the image on a mat of gold mirror card...I used my Cuttlebug to make the label for the sentiment (no sentiment on card I know as had to call into craft shop on way to post office to buy anniversary sentiments!). The dried foliage was also purchased from Joanna Sheen many moons ago and the flowers were from Sarah's Cards. I took two sizes of flower and put them together with a gold brad...and then finished the card off with green organza ribbon.
