Hi Again,
I hope your weekend is turning out to be a fun one for everyone. I know that for most of you Spring has already Sprung, I should say most of you. Here we are still waiting although the days are getting a little warmer so there is hope hee hee. I was told that Spring here is tardy but it stays for a while, then when Summer hits, it hits us really hot and humid, so I will take Spring any day for the rest of the year hee hee.
Also I wanted to tell you that at times when I start a blog, I am getting caught without sending cards and I will tell you why. I start my blog and sometimes I get distracted, but that's not all, if it only was the only reason, what also happens is, I didn't change my time zone from the US with my blog and don't intend to do so. By not doing so, it makes me realize that while I am here 13+ hours from the US and other countries around the world like Europe and more, I forget that Friday night for me may be Thursday morning for you so when I think I have a full day preparing the blog, I really don't. Because you will get it within an hour or two after I start it here, if I get distracted while I am preparing it, the top part (my chatter) will appear but without cards or could be one card only and such. Anyway, I am sorry when that happens, I am bad at timing myself because of the time zone. So if there is something missing I am trying to add once I am told that I haven't finished it before it was posted. Sorry for the trouble.
I am getting to catch up a little more now, I also was giving a try to some Pergamano technique and wasted a whole night on a card that up to almost the end of it I pulled too hard and ruined it just like that. So I didn't try to make another card today I was just relaxing which was awesome to do with my hubby!
Anyway, all of this to say, here are more fantastic cards to share with you:
Starting with Reat and her fabulous looking card in blue, enjoy her description as well
To do this card I used an A4 piece of white cardstock and made it into a gatefold style, I then cut out the central square and used a martha stewart lattice punch on both top and bottom edges. I printed this beautiful flower from Joanna sheens eastern treasure cd and decoupaged it up shaping the flower as much as I could. I printed the matching backing paper of the flower and cut it out to fit in the back and then layered the decoupaged flower onto that. Cut a piece of acetate out bigger than the back of the card to allow it to dome once fitted , used double sided tape to stick it to both inside of the front of the card by the 2 edge creases. the acetate can be whatever size you want the dome to be. I then got some blue ribbon and threaded it through the lattice border and made bows at the front. Enjoyed making this card very much hope you like it
Carol M. sent us her marvelous Easter card and short description. If you are interested in this image go to Easter folder...
I did the 3D effect and used yellow mulberry tear paper behind the darling egg. I used Lavender cardstock for the card. I am very pleased the way it turned out and I hope you are pleased with it also.
Joan (Hobbit) sent us a beautiful classy looking card with a nice description:
This card is fairly simple, I did the 3d sheet with the shoes & purse, mounted it on a piece of cream colored embossed paper, mounted on gold mirror board. I added a sheer green ribbon, across the top. For the message I used my oval spellbinder and distressed the edges and mounted it on a larger oval of gold. Then I added the Happy Birthday, peel offs. I like this sheet and think it makes a classy card for any young lady.
I hope you will all have a safe and fun weekend
Nicole :)
