Hi Friends
I am thrilled to bits to be able to share with you what I have learned among other things while in Japan. By that I mean while shopping for silk scarves the store owner showed me how to make this easy and beautiful scarf technique. I have taken pictures on how to make it step by step. If you already know this one, others might not have tried or seen it before so I hope if it is new to you, that you will enjoy it as much as I did when she taught me how to do it. If you are like me knots are often bothersome but this way is very lovely and comfortable to wear, it shows more of your lovely scarf simultaneously. Enjoy!
This will be found in Technique folder for future reference.
Here are some of the cards you have shared with me in the passed week:
Starting with Glenys H. with her beautiful card and recipe:
I used one of your 3D images here for a friend who loves going on holiday. The backing paper is some I had bought commercially.
Joyce in Australia share with us a card she made out of one of my sheets:
needed a rush card in 5 minutes and this was so perfect for what I needed.. you had done it so easy to cut out quickly and layer thank you!
A birthday "envelope" card for my daughter that Anne G. shared with us
It is quite easy to make a card envelope. Depending on the size of card you want to make, once you know the dimension just undo an envelope you already have and trace the opening like you see on Anne's card and you can accessorise it for the theme of card you are making at that time. Anne your card is beautiful thank you.
Diane M. shared her beautiful card with us:
I used one of your floral sheets, backing paper, and glitter paper. made it a dl for a change, on cream card stock. (Well done on it Diane I really love it) thanks
Pam (Nedlnut) shared her cards to catch up and 1 ahead since her access to the internet is limited until her computer is fixed. Here are the photos and descriptions she shared with us.
Pink Flowersoft girl - I cut out the Flowersoft image and used Ultra fine Flowersoft in Raspberry Fizz, Citrus Crush and Sage. The stitching pattern is one of Emy's from Emilie's Designs. I changed the centers so that they would all match and look more like the flowers in the bouquet. Threads are variegated from Sulky and MM flower brads used in the corners. The little girl is attached with pop dots.
Pink watering can girl uses the same pattern from Emy but I kept it original with the different flowers. Also used variegated threads from Sulky, round mini brads for the flower centers, the stamped image is from Sarah Kay "Elodie in her Garden", colored with Marvy markers and used blue stickles for the drops of water. I cut out the stitched piece to make a border for the stamped image and used pop dots to pop it.
Yellow Flowersoft girl - again I cut out the Flowersoft image and used Ultra fine Flowersoft in Citrus Crush and Sage. The stitching pattern is free from Pinbroidery (left the happy birthday out of the middle), threads are variegated from Sulky, yellow pearls from Hero Arts, yellow/green ribbon, Nestabilities scalloped and regular circles and JustRite Stamps "Seeds of Kindness". Little girl is attached with pop dots.
Thank you for following me as you could see once you click on the left hand side of my blog where the followers are signing up it asks you step by step some information and you are in! Thank you for that ladies.
