Hi friends,
Almost another week over. How time flies when we're having fun. I hope that you had a fun and creative week. I have been trying to clean up my work space but I always seem to cover it up with more of "this is possibly a card" items, and then I lose my train of thoughts. Back to square one I go again hee hee.
I am trying to make more cards, I will have to use another approach so I stay focused, turn off PC for a few hours a day when I am at home. I have had so many things I wanted to try lately, I will have to stick to one technique and make a few cards from it before trying something else. If I don't, my desk looks messy, probably sounding familiar to a lot of you (we call this normal) :-)
Trish A. sent her gorgeous stitching and roses with a description:
Pricked and stitched the crossover with multi coloured gold thread, then did the heart with a red thread. Matted white stitched card to red card and then attached to yellow (didn't have gold) cardstock. Punched out red and yellow shapes and made into roses. Attached roses to card with some leaves. A verse on the inside. Then hand delievered.
Kathy in Iowa sent us her beautiful iris folding card:
I made this card for a friend's year old daughter. I used a cupcake pattern that I have had for sometime and wrapping paper for the iris folds. Really a very easy card but I thought appropriate for a one year old. (Thanks so much for such a lovely card the variation of colors in your folds make you card come to life Kathy)
PurplePauline sent us 2 cards to get updated as well as a description for both of her cards:
The envelope card.....
I chalked the card with some pink chalk as a background. Layered the 3D image onto some gold mirri board, glittered the flower centres and finished with gold corners and borders. The dots are just 'waste' from a used up peel-off sheet.
The Rose card...
I lightly chalked the white card with pink chalk as a background. Covered a quarter of the card with backing paper, layered the 3D image onto gold mirri board and glittered the roses,
finishing off with gold corners and borders.. "Thank you PurplePauline for your lovely cards"
Thank you for visiting, commenting and sharing your beautiful cards. Have a fun weekend!
Nicole :)
