Hi Friends, with a special wish of a great day and year for all of the special men in our lives.
I hope you had a fun week. Mine was busy as you could see from the blog and behind the scene's appointments and emails. It takes some preparation and organization to do one blog for those who have the same you know you have to keep up with it on an almost daily basis and that alone is not always easy. I keep on wanting to do a few how-to's videos but time flies and I haven't done any of it yet. So if I can make a few more new sheets I am happy at least it is something to share.
Here are more cards for today:
Coralie G. made this beautiful elderly couple card which I think looks precious. Thank you Coralie, well done.
"The image is a digistamp from Mo's digital pencil" I colored with pastels. I put some glittery touches on the hat and on the flowers. The backing paper is from funky fairy and I mounted the image on 3d foams. I added peel offs and a gold heart to finish it all. Thanks for looking"
Myrax sent her beautiful masculine card with description. Well done Myrax
Here is my latest using your sheet. Used the MS Happy Birthday punch down the side then bsacked it with
gold mirror card. Nikky's watches sheet layed onto gold mirror card and finally a black cord down the side.
Next lovely card is from Dawn L.'s clever and great looking runnning shoe and her description, well done Dawn!
I googled a "converse" shoe and made a template out of one I found somewhere on the net. I then used leather grained blue card and folded it into a tent fold, using the top for the hinge. I used my crop-o-dile to insert the eyelets and threaded a piece of burgundy lace (from local haberdashers) as if it were laced up. Using my cuttlebug and nestabilites dies cut the disc and inserted the greeting with letter peeloffs. I re printed the template and cut out the white bits (usually the rubber bit) and cut them out in white card and using a black fine liner added the lines.
This next beautiful card shared with description is from Lorraine in NZ, Well done Lorraine!
I have used a Nikky's 3D sheet, used the Happy Birthday folder from Cuttlebug, I added some peel off to frame it and adhered it to my card in blue, round trimmed the corners.
Our next lovely card to view comes from another talented lady by the name of Mary E. Great job Mary!
Simple instructions ... I used a heart stitching pattern from Anns Paper Art. Stitched it with Madeira Mettalics thread. I then used a embossed look paper from Paper craft Tutor called Artistspalette. ( just loved the colours in it) I then ran the paper through the printer a second time to add the text using Heart Sweet Heart font. I cut out the scalloped heart using Spellbinders Nestabilities.
The next lovely card is from Eithne E. with a short description. I think your card is beautiful Eithne thank you for sharing it.
I'm enclosing a card I made yesterday for a friend of mine, its from Nikky's sheets. I used peel off corners and gold matting on my brown card.
Maureen G. shared her beautiful card with us as well as a great description of her card.
I made the base card with the lace using a freebie template downloaded from UKScrappers....I backed the cutout with pink glitter paper and embellished with black stick on pearls. The 3D image is one of yours Nicole and I added stickles to the flowers and the hat...cuttlebugged the mat and punched holes around then cuttlebugged pink glitter paper so it showed through...added silver peel offs to the corners and added a peel off sentiment.
Another fantastic card to share, this time it is from Janet R. and her once again gorgeous cards! Well done Janet.
As with all my cards, I pick the image and then choose a stitching
pattern that matches the 3d. Resize them in my digital editor, print,
prick the holes and choose the threads to match the colors in the 3d.
Then use 2 way tape to attach the stitched part of the card to similar
color cardstock, then add different embellishments, such as sticky
stones, peel offs, beads etc
I will end todays shares with another lovely card, this one is from Sandra K. (Well done Sandra)
I've used an A5 landscape card ( white hammer ) and typed my sentiment on the right hand side, I picked some blue and white paper out of my paper stash and punched a couple of borders which I put top and bottom of my card. Then I took a piece of navy card and cut out a sissix frame put some foam pads on the back to raise it up a little and decoupaged a Moorhead baby which sat in the frame, punched out a few small daisies in the same paper added some blue gems to the centres and finnished with peel of borders and a dummy.
I am not sure if I will have another draw for December, but it is a high probability. So keep that in mind if you share cards it might get you a few extra goodies just for sharing your beautiful cards with a short description.
Have a fun day!
A speedy recovery wishes goes to my friend's Jo Anne's husband Rich in California, and Suz from Hawaii, for a speedy recovery. My positive thoughts and prayers are with them and family.
Nicole :)
