Hi Friends

I am still so happy for reaching 100 a few days before my Birthday on Sunday.  Wow well done, and I hope that if you are a follower and have questions on what's going on in here you will feel very much at ease to send me an email here allow a day or so before I reply. Sometimes I am not at my computer for almost a day, yes it happens! *Wink*

As I was saying in the title of today's post, we are celebrating an Autumn Festival here in China for a whole 7 days, so if I seem absent at times please just know that I am enjoying myself, I do that too sometimes hee hee.  Anyhow, everyone are taking days off including our help including our private tutor.

I will post sheets almost everyday so you will be alerted by email if I post anything new.  First time I can celebrate a Birthday while there is another celebration going on at once. hee hee Since all flights are booked solid we cannot travel anywhere so we will make our own little party here.  We knew it would be this way so no biggie.

Well my friends, I hope whatever you are doing in the coming days, you are doing it well and making the best of that moment.  Life is going by way too fast, it makes you appreciate the real friends we have.  Sharing moments with them when the chance is there is priceless, so fun to know who they are as well.

So peak later I might have another sheet for you.  I know you will use the sheets to make special cards for the special people in your lives.  Feel free to share them with me when you have done a card with my sheets.

Picture this!

Hi Friends (So much more of them, Welcome)

Here I am, ready to drink my cup of joe at 7 am Wednesday morning.  Starting morning routine when all of the sudden I see my email box FILLED with new followers, as most of you know I had been fantasizing about getting up to 100 followers before my Birthday this Sunday.  I see 90, WOW!

Thank you soooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the best morning to wake up to although we are only 10 away from the goal let say 101 so it is not looking so much like a precise goal LOL.  Please let it not stop there.  I see some of the blogs that are so beautiful and so inspiring out there, have more than 500 followers hee hee.  But it is the first 100 that is hard to get.  Thank you for the referrals, I see Darla was mentionned a few times, and the others that have no name yet.  This is a great day!

Picture this! When I am this happy I tend to want to climb on a foot high box (30 cm high) I am not tall so I need to make sure I am seen while being silly, climbing up there, while I am doing my little happy dance.  I won't forget to mention the so very wide smile I am wearing right now.  So that's your visual for today ladies!

When I get to the magic number of 100+1 I will post 3 new sheets on here.  So if anyone needed an incentive to get this far this is one to get everyone going!

Oh, I also wanted to mention that I know since we have been here so far away from home for almost 10 months now!  I know time flies doesn't it?  I know a lot of you have been wanting to send me a Birthday card, I know you all mean well, I know how generous you all are because of the previous Birthdays I have had since I have opened this blog of mine more than 3 years ago.  Time flies indeed.  But, this is my last Birthday here and next year just before my Birthday again we will be back home in the USA.  Mailing things here has been a huge dilemma as I never received all my last Christmas cards and all the cards that you had sent me and more have never made it to our home here.  So I will tell you that receiving something that had been registered in order to get it here at a high cost, made me tear up when I saw all the beautiful cards that made it here for my special day.

I will be out all day today but when I get back I will add a new sheet to this page, but if I have 100+1 or more I will add 3 sheets for you to celebrate my joy of this moment with you.

Thank you so much ladies, I am so thrilled and humbled by you all followers/friends.  Welcome and please make yourself at home in my internet home.  Grab a chair and enjoy the ride!

100 Thank you, everyone. This is so nice!

Hi to all the new followers.  Thank you to Calamity Carol the "100th" and everyone else that has signed up to be a follower.  To answer one of the comments, quickies for people who are new here, are decoupage sheets that I post at any given time every day or so, for you to come and see if it is there to grab if you like it.  If not then it's ok too.  But I normally post them and removed them at any given time.  This is why I call them Quickies. 

Now to quickly explain how to get to see my decoupage sheets, you have to email me here so I can tell you how to get in there.  More to this than I will explain on here.  But write and mention "Password" in the subject line. Please

Darla you are a gem to have encouraged your group to join and the other ones that did the same and remain nameless thank you.  Now it is not a limit 100 is the beginning of a good future.  So come as often as you can, you will find decoupage sheets or my own cards posted on here every now and again.  I should post more in the future.  I have made some but have not taken photos yet.  But it will happen.

So again, feel free to add yourself to be a follower to my blog and comments are so very appreciated so share your thoughts with us.  I read all comments every day.

This was awesome to get to this 100+ number now I have until next Birthday to wish for 1000 LOL just kidding.  Only in my wildest dreams right?  I could also eat my own words.  hee hee  Well all the sheets are removed and will be found again when I add them to the PB soon.   

Thank you once again this has been so exciting and please do not let this 100 stop you from signing up to be a follower.  It makes it so much easier to visit my blog and all the blogs you prefer, signing up sends you an email when a new post is added to any blog you are following.  It saves me so much time.  I get to see directly from emails what my favorite people have added that day.  So really, there is nothing to lose, in fact you can gain more time in making more cards with what you saved in time.

I had to post my newly received Birthday cards

As I had mentionned yesterday here are the beautiful cards I have received for my Birthday from the craftyladies back in California.  You are all dearly missed and thank you for sending me a taste of home all the way here, words cannot describe how touched I was to have them reach me through Jo Anne.  Thank you Jo Anne that was such a great surprise to me.

Hi Friends, here is another fun sheet

Hi Friends

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend.  Mine was awesome and busy but come to think of it I wouldn't want it any other way.  I will post a few Birthday cards I have received in the mail this weekend after making it through a long line up at the post office (customs) phew!  I survived! hee hee

I will post the cards because they are all so special to me (perhaps tomorrow).  A taste from home is always welcome and thank you my friends for sending them to Jo Anne to send me.  I just received them and all of them are on my card making area shelf in great view.  More sheets to share soon.  Cleaning up that section so I can post them to the PB over the weekend, that's my goal though.

Here I am, wow what a busy weekend we are having but today is relaxing day.  So I have been taking it easy cleaning a few odds and ends I meant to do for a week or so.  But nothing stressful for sure.

A fun quickie today

Hi Friends

Here we are at the end of another week in September.  This month has gone by so quickly, it once again get us closer to Chistmas time, this busy time of the year for a lot of us.  I know from all of your emails, most of you who usually make Christmas cards have been busy at it already.  I am still active at finding images that can be decoupaged for you.  But today we are at the hospital for your quickie sheet.  Yes the woman one will also follow just keep an eye open for it.  I also have a Betty Boop Christmas sheet coming for the die hard fans of her.  So be alert and check often she is coming soon.

Oh does it ever look like a typical Fall day today.  It is darker and cooler so, but not complaining as it feels so comfortable right now. A quiet rain is falling as well.

I have added new photos on the blog, please find them on the right hand side of the blog.  The title of this new Album is called Chinese Manufacture visit.  I hope you enjoy them.  We had a fun day.  Here is one photo out of the ones in the album:

 

They are mostly paid by the piece so they were not too distracted by our looking at them.  Enjoy the album!

Today also means in one year from today we should be going home again.  We have been here for more than 9 months already.  Only 12 more to go.

Quickie on Sunday oh my!

Hi friends

Here I am, it is Sunday here.  I have another busy day so I will get to the point of today's blog.  A quickie sheet!  Yes I have another one for you.

Thank you to the followers of my blog to continue to sign up.  As I had mentioned in a previous blog, I am really hoping to get to a 100 followers by the end of September.  I would love to celebrate my Birthday by having 100 then so if it happens before October then, that means, you will have given me a nice present for that day shortly after September.  Thinking about what I should do for the 100th follower sign up day....

We went to the manufactures of decorative metal yesterday we had a fun afternoon.  We found out that they are supplying to a lot of the major store chains in the USA.  Like Target, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Hobby Lobby, etc...  We had a play at making a lizard painted with enamel paint and we watched it baking, we took it home with us, since it was only one bake the lizard doesn't look fabulous but it was fun to experiment the how it is made for a little time.

I have been wanting to show pictures about this visit but it will have to wait.  I tried to upload them to my computer but the software I am using wants an update and a reboot so I will do that later.  But pictures are coming you will be amazed at what they can do with metal.

I was wondering if I could ask my followers to sign up as a follower so I can get up to 100 in September.  You see it is a good thing to do because it lets you know when I add new sheets and it keeps you ahead of the what is being posted.  I have done my quick daily blog hop this way.  I don't have many people on my list since I can't search long and play long but when I do it is all organized.  It is also another way to let me know if you are following me regularly.  If you can do this with my blog you can do it with all the blog sites you enjoy visiting regularly.  So you are up to date on your favorites at all times.  Just an idea for you.

I hope you have a great weekend planned.  Enjoy what's left of the Summer as we know it, and here we are preparing for a next cold and dry Fall.  They say it might be the last weekend at 80F+ or 20C+ so we will take our walks for sure this weekend to enjoy it without a jacket on.  Have fun whatever you do!

Weekend quickie!

It is late Friday here and I am placing another quickie for you to enjoy on the blog.  I had a chance to make many more sheets late last night to add to the rest that I have not yet posted on here.  So as you can see I have a lot in store for you and already made at that!  Yes, that makes me happy because I make you come back every time.

Thelma:  I was tempted to say, who is Hepburn? LOL but I won't I know too well she was a great actress ages ago hee hee I enjoyed a few of her movies but yes it will give out your age a little, I won't try to figure it out.  Your secret is safe with me :)

I got up on the funny side of the bed today.  I am in the mood to find things that are funny to look at so that will reflect on the sheet I have for you today.  I just found it in my collection of images.  I know that some of us always enjoy sending fun cards to family and friends, well this one can be an hilarious one to the right person in your life.  I hope you enjoy.  That can perhaps bring a few funny comments as well, who knows, I welcome them all.

New quickie, just one this time...

Hi Friends

I was laughing when I was reading your comments of yesterday.  You made me think about what I did in a totally different light which was funnier, thanks for the laughter.  In the meantime I have to send this new Quickie now.  I am training tomorrow again as I am expecting to train longer because of language barrier, but it will all be worth it in the end I am sure. 

Oh and I have to add a special message here for people with pain.  I am seeing an Acupuncturist and I have great news my pain I was having for so long is 50% gone.  I have more energy and all the positive things coming from all the sessions is tremendous.  I will start Tai Chi soon.  It is for relaxing the body in tune with mind, I hope I said it right.  I am sure you can understand what I mean.  But it is all positive and for those of you who are skeptical about this medicine practice I am telling you it works for me.  Have a search about it.  Enjoy the reading.

The weekend here is coming to a close

Hi Friends

We had a relaxing weekend, as we want to try a new restaurant we haven't visited before on the weekend,  this weekend was no exception.  We went for a walk and found another Japanese restaurant we hadn't tried yet so we went.  With an adventurous mind we entered, sat down at our table, surrounded by smiling Chinese ladies, we ordered our drinks.  The fun started when we opened the menus. 

Nothing was understandable to us as we are not learning to read the chinese characters, we were soon letting on that we were not able to read this menu.  So as we know that they are very creative, one left and brought us another menu.  This one looked like it was in Arabic.  Again, we were not able to read, so we had to go to the second level of creativity.  Leave it to me to have fun with it.  So they took me to the aquariums where they have their fish so I could order from what I could see.  Then the other lady brought me a sheet of daily specials from I don't know where. Showing a whole assortment of bowls with salad, fish, rice, etc...So I finally said ok we'll do that but I don't want fish.  So I was asking if they have chicken?  in Chinese, excuse me, LOL.  Many restaurants in our areas now have photo menus so we can pick what looks good to us and order quickly.  But not that one hee hee

Then I asked if they have chicken wings, making the moves, showing the part of the arm which means wings.....they were all laughing, so was I.  But we ordered what we wanted in the end, we enjoyed our meal.  Went for a nice walk and went home.
