Hi friends
I will start today with another card I made with a tutorial:
Here is my Birthday easel card.
You will need Beaded Ovals from Spellbinders or other shape of preference, Fancy tags from Spellbinders, a ribbon coordinating with one of the three main colors using on your card. 3 colors of card stock and ink. Fancy looking paper for the background.
First you need to make the easel base of your card. Without giving you a template which we don't need. The way I make mine is simple. Make an ordinary card A2, A4 or A5 whichever size you want to make this card. Take the front of your card and measure the center of it lengthwise. Score it on the lengthy way and fold. The flap should touch down toward the back of your card. That's your easel. Now you need to cut the same size in cardstock of the front of your card. If you want to get fancier later you can, but for now let's cut a rectangle. Now you will use some double sided tape of the flap you have facing you the one that touches the back of the card. Once it is covered with tape take your new piece of cardstock and adhere it to the bottom of the easel. Make sure you have flattened up the card flap again to ease the putting the two pieces together nicely. Then fold it again. This time you have you basic completed easel base.
Or research Easel template among your favorite card making sites to get a picture of it but it is pretty simple to make once you understand the concept of folding half the front of the card on lengthy side. You will understand how the rest works if you look at my card here.
Once you have your basic shape you can play at covering it with your background paper on the top piece after placing your ribbon where you want it and wrap it around before adhering the paper to the front of the easel. I usually add a piece on the bottom of the card you see how far you want to open it and you will also need something to keep it standing after the person opens it. In this case I have conveniently used the tag that keeps it from falling flat. It could be a flower, bling try and use something that will not get out of shape because when the card is closed the top panel squishes the parts underneath. Try and predict the look of how what you are using will either bounce back into original shape or will not be too affected but it. Think practical and not too bulky.
That's all.
As for your daily quickie sheet here it is:
I don't think I have shared this one before but if I did for the ones that already have it my apologies for the repeat. But I doubt I have shared this one yet. In any case I hope you can enjoy it. I may have another candle sheet for you soon.
