Hi Friends
Did I tell you I love Spring as a season before? I think so but I am happy to repeat it. The weather is so refreshing in so many ways. My windows are open most of the day to let the cool air in. I have been searching for Thai food ingredients to make Thai food but it is not so easy. I will have to search and ask our Chinese friends to translate the names so it makes the search that much easier. I hope some of you that got some more snow, *sigh* it is melting really quick.
We went to a culinary class while in Phuket, Thailand (it is said to be the best) but the program of the day varies on what day of the week it is. So there is a total of 6 dishes made throughout the day and we eat all of what we make. Hubby and I enjoyed the class immensely. We both learned so much about the spices and how to enhance the food flavoring and so on. It was a great filled of fun and learning day ending with a gold engraved personalized certificate to frame.
While in Bangkok we visited as much as we could temples on a one day tour which included a covered typical motor boat to ride in and out of the channelled canals. We also had a dinner cruise on the river and I will also have pictures of this fun night. Unfortunately, as I was sure I had taken good shots of the lit temples on our dinner cruise, it was really blurred so I only have a few to share. We also went to a few Thai restaurants to experience their so very flavorful foods and came back with a continued liking of this type of cuisine. We both did. If you like spicy, coconut milk and/or cream, chili peppers of different sizes and curry of many colors you are in for a great treat. We sure enjoyed every aspect of this country for a full 7 days. We were delighted that our flight out was delayed of 8 hours. So we could enjoy it longer.
Here is your quickie for today:
