I am sure that the Wedding so much talked about will be watched by so many of you, I will be too!

As for the Mother Nature's rampage I feel for those who have been inflicted by her armful ways.  My heart goes to everyone and families.  It is ok to share what you think on the comment box as it also makes me aware of what is happening on homeland or elsewhere.  I don't always get all the latest news about everything so forgive me if I don't always comment about what is happening, as I can only wish everyone well and always!  Thank you for sharing your concerns on the comment box.

It's a beautiful Wednesday here

Here we are almost touching May, where did almost half the year go?  I know for us it has been going quickly because of travels but it is nice to see that Summer is knocking on our doors.  You know what they say about hibertating, some of us who prefers to stay in and stay warm, I know I use that term eventhough I enjoy the milder days of Winter, I hibernate but when comes Summer, I call it Summernate.  I know it is probably not a word yet, but there it is.  I feel the need to create one. Heat, humidity and I don't mix well so the Summer season eventhough it seems such a short season for those of us who have a harsher Winter with loads of snow, make my Summer very long because of hot days that feel more like 45F or 110F.  We rarely travel on Summer days.  We rest for the nice enjoyable comfortable days of Fall. Well, that's my bit for today.

I am certainly hoping you are enjoying your day fully, perhaps in your garden enjoying your fresh blooms and perhaps starting your seedlings for the Summer.  No I wasn't going to forget suggesting that you may be enjoying your evening making cards as you are getting more and more inspired by the weather.

Weekend quickie sheet - HAPPY EASTER everyone!

I have started to make cards.  I have a few of the main pieces out of the way but I haven't come up with a final look as of yet with any of them.  But at least I am getting them started, it usually comes to me what I should use to finish it and what colors to mix and match and so on.  But, it is fun!

Here I am at 11:30 pm on Monday night when I wrote this blog.  For most of you, you are starting Monday.  Whatever you have planned for the day, I hope it is fun, making you smile and give you great ideas for your crafting needs.  Sometimes I just look at an item in a store, I get inspired from it.  Either colors, shape, subject triggers something in my imaginative head to turn into a card what I saw.  I am in the process to start making another bunch of cards so as soon as I can post them I will.

I have 3 busy weeks coming ahead of me so I better start today.  In the meantime I have a new sheet for you.

A new week is here! (Quickie Pyramage)

Sorry for not mentionning precisely that this sheet was a pyramage not for cutting around the image but cutting aroung the frame as seen here.  The cut out is part of the Pyramage cut out.  There are 5 layers starting with the larger frame descending to the smallest one.  I hope that clears up the confusion. Thanks for letting me know I wasn't clear enough.  That can happen. Thank you.

Friday here where did the week go?

Hi blog friends

This week went by so so quickly, it's amazing.  This time of the year is my favorite.  I feel like dancing, seeing the days getting longer and so much more comfortable now.  When it is about 10-15C or high 60F's I am a very happy camper as I find it's just right. Not hot.  The cherry blossoms are out and very soon, as I said before, I will have the lovely scent of nice lilac tree blooming so very close to my living room window.  I can't wait!

Now about the quickie sheets I hope you were able to find them on the "caffeinelady bucket".  All the newest sheets that were posted are always found on top of all folders.  So the first ones you see once in a folder are the most recent ones.

I had fun making a few decoupage sheets of pandas and will also have a great selection of other topics soon.  I am just enjoying a day here of making them ahead of time to share one at a time.

So here is the panda sheet that I made from one of our photos.  With this sheet you can sell the cards you make out of it, but you are not allowed to sell the sheets as it is copyrighted to myself, so no profit can be made from the decoupage sheet itself.  I trust that you will respect my wishes on this.

I was delighted to read all the comments again, which were this time, about the Panda photos and Jinli we have added to the blog to share. 

About the panda hair, yes you will get softer fur on your stuffed animals, but since I didn't dare petting his tummy area I have no idea if this area would be softer than the rest of him.  I have to tell you how awesome of a moment that was for me.  When the attendant placed the panda on my lap, I had just noticed that I was sitting in a small puddle of cold water.  Note: the panda wasn't heavy.  The panda was slipping away from me as they love to eat on their backs, he was trying to eat his bamboo stick dipped in something that was smelling like coconut to keep him settled.  It was surreal to be holding him, until I was brought back to reality, it was trying to bite the side of my left thumb with his very strong teeth (probably by accident).  Since I had plastic gloves on, I could slip out my skin that was between his side jaw.  It was impressive to hear it chew on his bamboo stick, hearing how efficient and strong the chewing of their food is.  Overall it was a fantastic, unforgettable experience. I will only say on here that it almost didn't happen at all, as hubby was never allowed to get in with me to take pictures so the part that should have been the most fun, would have been to share this awesome experience with him in the same room with me, and also hold the panda.

Just be careful when you arrange tours/excursions ahead of time.  Next time, we will do things very differently.  If you need more information on this, email me

A quickie sheet for you plus photos

Hi Friends

Well, I had a great weekend some of it for recuperating and feeling better and the other part was trying to finish up what I had thought wouldn't be such a big task! hee hee I must admit it was so easy to get carried away adding more pictures as I didn't know which one to choose as I had to comment on many of them so I just picked them, I managed to get to 150 of them.  Sorry.  I hope it will be fun to see places we visit through our eyes.  I also tried to use some fun comments on some of the photos.  Hoping you will be able to enjoy as I have to tell you I cannot get them to sort by alpha so at least you know they are from 2 places.  One being at the Panda Base and the other one is in the Old Town of Jinli, so if you don't see pandas chances are you are visiting Jinli.  The folder you should look for is China's Panda & Jinli to the right hand side on my blog. 

In the meantime here is another quickie sheet which I hope is no repeat, but if it is, I hope it is one you had missed the first time around.  Now that photos are uploaded I can concentrate in adding the newest sheets I had posted in the passed month or so into the bucket for you.  I will let you know when it is added and will also tell you in which folder to find them in.  I know, I love to be helpful LOL Just love me for it hee hee

I am slowly getting my different tasks done.  I have a few things started, so as soon as I get the photos ready, I will let you know.  I wasn't so fortunate getting up under the weather today, so it has slowed me down and I had to take it easy as I was suggested in one of the comments. 

So here is your quickie sheet for today:

A note from Jackie on the skinny parts of an image to decoupage tip:

I use a little trick when cutting thin lines on decoupage. I put scotch tape on the back of the sheet wherever thin lines or delicate cuts are. It strengthens them and makes it easier to cut closer to them. Hope this helps someone. It really works. Hugs, Jackie   Thank you for your tip as I prefer yours to mine.

Note:

I do not expect anyone to cut around the thin legs but what can be done that really looks nice is cut around leaving some white paper around it, that is a technique I always do when something is too thin for decoupage.  Do not cut right on the leg just cut outside of it.  I hope you understand what I mean.  Very easy as well as effective, when challenged decoupage is ahead leave some paper around.

Back home today, amazing number of comments

Hi Friends

I was amazed to see how many wonderful comments were left on here after I had shared a photo of the panda I visited for a few minutes.  It was a lifetime experience.  I think once I had the stunning bear sitting on my lap, it was as if I was looking down onto this lucky person who was living another dream.  This moment was short as I would have wanted to spend the whole day with them but I was feeling so lucky to have had a beautiful few hours on the Panda Research Base of Cheng Du. 

I have looked at the panda pictures that were taken while I was with the lovely bear and the ones outside but not sure any of the pictures would turn into a nice decoupage sheet.  I will see what I can do, but my priority is to share some of those pictures with you, including some of the photos of the little area called Jinli, with old style Chinese architecture as well as some beautiful shops, etc...

Thank you for all the comments and your visiting. I will resume my regular schedule tomorrow.  I have to prepare the photos I select to share but as soon as I get them added here I will let you know.

While away, I was constantly trying to reply to my emails and send another blog but the Internet Provider at the Hotel we were staying at, was really blocking everything.  I was lucky I could even send this blog with the photo in it as it took about 2 hours constantly trying to upload and send, until I was ready to give up.  So I was happy to see comments coming in as it was assuring me that my blog had gone through perfectly.

I will be back with a quickie sheet next... so don't go too far...
