Hi Friends
I hope you are enjoying the Summer season so far. I know some of you are in a drought right now and some of us are enjoying abundance of rain, in fact we have 7 days of it in the forecast as we are once again in fog that tells me the 7 days will likely be for rain, rain and more of it. I wish I could divide this rain up and send some of it to places that are thinking about doing the "rain dance" but Mother Nature is not cooperating all the time. I know one thing for sure, we will go through the "Sizzling" Summer season just fine.
As for my today's shares, I am posting another card of mine with the recipe I hope it can somewhat inspire you to try your hand at making something special for a close person in your life even if it was just to say Hello!
Recipe
CS I used for this card are 3 colors, Chocolate, Very Vanilla, and Certainly Celery from my SU stash. I also used SU paper to match. I used a rubber stamp with chocolate ink on the main card, it is an old SU background stamp which I can't think of its name right now, but you see it well though.
The embossing folder I have used in this card is one popular Sizzix one from SU I just love the texture of it. Once I have matted all my layers I ran them through my Cuttlebug machine so all layers are embossed at once. I must say it really looks beautiful all put together in the end. I used a Spellbinder label called "The Grommet tags" and 2 copper brads. The laced bottom was made with a SU border punch. I am realizing that everything on this card, from start to finish was made with Stampin' Up products, reminding me of my Stampin'Up Demonstrating days!
Try making layers with different embossing folders to see a different effect but make sure your two layers are glued with your favorite adhesive first before running it through the machine so it won't shift.

I tried my hand at making a cinnamon raisin bread. Thanks Angela for giving a truly short cut to success

I have had some time to make new quickie sheets to share soon. So now that I am feeling better, I can look at my table again and make more cards as well. I am back to feeling like 24 hours a day isn't nearly enough for me to do everything I want to do so I must be well LOL. Being a wife, baking, cooking, playing with my new craft items, sorting things out in this craft room of mine, errands and so on. I can't imagine adding children to this madness, I know some of you manage well with a job and children and a hubby plus doing what I do everyday, "my hats off to you my friends".
I am happy I have someone to clean up my house for the time being, it is making my days so much easier in the end. Oh there is a lesson learned from my stay here, I will never take driving myself to where ever I want to go, whenever I want, for granted for a long time to come. I miss driving, I miss seeing things I can read LOL, I also miss finding things easily when needed. Mixing the good with the not so good makes living interesting and never ever boring! Enough about my boring daily stuff.
I hope you have a fun week ahead of you and will certainly share more for you tomorrow. So if you haven't already done so please sign up for my newsletter under the followers so when I send out a new post, it will let you know in your email box. So you won't likely miss the quickie sheet I add and remove after a little while.
Have a fun day! Sending you a smile
