Hi Friends
The time to make bundles of cards has come and stayed with me. I am thrilled to get some done and then share just in case you may get some inspiration from them. Thank you for all the lovely comments on my cards and as soon as I get a chance to make 3D sheets I will. It all depends on the image accessibility. I will make more, I just can't say when but I will post more quickies for avid 3d sheet lovers. So I leave this fun task to come and check if there is one for you to pinch when I post one up.
So here is my Easter card for today, followed by the recipe:
This is one of many quick Easter cards I had to make.
Here is how I made it.
White and lavender CS. Colored pencils to use with OMS and paper stumps. This is an A2 size note card. I used the Cheery Lynn Designs A2 lattice die in white I have adhered it to the lavender CS. You will notice there is a very narrow space you can glue this lattice down so I suggest you take a pointy end glue bottle and add a dab of the glue in as many corners of the lattice as you can and quickly put it down on the card and press. I used my C plate from my Cuttlebug machine to help glueing the lattice uniformly. It takes about 10 seconds and you can release. Then set aside.
I used an Easter stamp set from Just Rite, I pencil colored the stamped image. Image was first stamped with Memento black tuxedo ink so the ink doesn't smear when using the OMS= Odorless Mineral spirits. Used my oval Spellbinder die to cut around the image. I also used the Just Rite frame stamp to make the frame you see. I again colored the frame with some colored pencil of a matching color and spreaded the color to lighter tone toward the inner frame until I was satisfied with the tone down effect.
The Spellbinder die I used to cut around the frame stamp is called "Just Rite Custom Design die template" #JB-10025, nested oval medallion labels, made for Just Rite. I encourage you to go see their site as I am growing fond of their stamps as they have matching dies with the Spellbinder die cuts. It makes stunning looking cards.
So as you can see this is a simple card to make but it does leave you with such a great looking image simply because it was framed appropriately for this specific card theme. The flexibility of their stamp sets and frames allows you to mix and match the themes you have for Birthdays and others just use the frame stamp, die cut to match and the inside frame leaves you with multiple choices to use with your existing stamp collection or simply stamp a Happy Birthday sentiment in the center and you are good to go.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask in the comment box below. There are more cards to come. So please come back regularly so you get to see them all. I have been busy, so prepare to see more cards to share this week.
I will alternate cards so it is not always Easter cards in a row. I have a funny one for you next!
Have a great day,
