Hi Friends
Well, I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and hoping the weather was cooperating with your activities. We have started to make some repairs in our master bedroom from the water damage I had explained to you last week sometime. We had a plumber in to check it out and he fixed the leak. It was the outside tap that each time I was using it to water my dearest flowers it was really shooting between the two walls. According to the floor damage and the paint bubbling at the bottom of the wall it was cause for concern. The leak is fixed now. But the rest of the work is on the way. Hubby went to buy all the supplies needed to refinish the open wall. He started yesterday and re-insulated the wall and also washed away the awful smell of mould that was hiding between the two walls until we got it opened up. YUKKKKKKK! So that is a good thing done.
Today we are so very fortunate we have RAIN! Well it has been a while since I have seen rain like this. It was fun to know that I didn't go and pay to get my car washed today because it would have been for nothing. Here when it rains it is so dusty that the dust sticks to anything wet and dries that way. So I will keep that wash for another day thank you very much. I was in awe watching the thunder storm happening when I got home today. It felt so refreshing we have had quite a few hotter days in the passed 7 days so it was nice to see I was also spared watering my flowers today, yippee! A break for Nikky!
I am sure you saw the I FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!! In the email subject of today. Well yep! I found it again!
I was out breathing the fresher air earlier and I took that moment to feed the fish in the back yard pond. I threw my first portion of pellets when I heard a big PLOP in the water.....Have you guessed what was in the pond? Yep, my bull frog. So it never left LOL it lives here. Along with the regular visit of a beautiful owl that feeds from the hundreds of birds invading our proprety as we speak. So he is welcome to stay we will build him a tiny house LOL. This owl is huge. Unfortunately I have no photo of it to share just yet. Of the owl I mean. But its wingspan is wide and wow. It had left its business card on its last visit since it doesn't digest feather it was left behind LOL.
Getting back to the subject at hand, I had my bull frog swimming happily in my small pond and it would stop and hang on to a lily pad and watch me LOL. I am shaking my head here. I had told Colleen in one email that my pond in the back garden was so looking like the real thing that the only thing missing was a frog on top of the lily pads.........as a joke! But it turns out it is NOT a joke anymore. It is for REAL.
So I had a chance to take a few pictures of it while it was happily showing me that it is part of the decor now. So I will share them with you. I also noticed that we have dragonflies being born from the pond also. It is an ugly bug that lives in the bottom of the pond throughout the year and when May/June arrives this ugly bug surfaces on the edge of the pond and just like butterflies this dragonfly is coming out of this ugly thing and start flying around. I saw two coming out this way. It was mating one afternoon and when they were done they would go to the pond water while flying leaving eggs in a quick flickering way, both of them for about 30 minutes and left. The things I see in this garden really got me fascinated with nature at home LOL.
So here are a few pictures of our BIG FROG!
One leg!!!!!!!!
Almost all of it here
I caught it swimming at one point, I like this picture very much
This was when I got back an hour later it was laying belly flat on some cuttings relaxing and no matter how close I was getting to it, it was getting comfortable with me. So I will make a list of all the living things I have gotten to meet while living here for 6 months in the next email. Because I am posting late today, no card will be posted. Enjoy!
Have a great day everyone!
