Here is yet, another card to share.  I love to make Anniversary cards and the occasion to make another card in B&W came about so here is what I came up with.  Simple but it looked so pretty in the flesh.

This Black and white card had very little supplies to it.

I had a few stamps, a music sheet, black and grey ink, black and white CS, Spellbinder die cuts.

For some unknown reason the white of the card base looks grey when it should be white.

I just finished 40 more cards

Hi Friends

Here I am, I have finally finished 40 more cards and what also takes some time to do is take pictures of all of them in many angles so in the end I can pick the best ones for sharing on here. 

We have had a few days in a row of a few hours of rain, today being the most rain we have seen here.  It is usually all around us and nothing for us, but I did my little rain/happy dance the other day and what do you know?  It worked hee hee (Giving you quite a funny visual don't I?) LOL

So I have been spared watering for 3 days.  We can still hear the beautiful sound of thunder out there.  We are waiting to go out for a walk after dinner so I am here catching up on what I have been wanting to do most of the week and that was to add more cards to share with you.  So I can start with today and I will see what the week brings, but I have a few cards that I am hoping you might enjoy viewing in the future weeks to come.

This is the card I am sharing for today.  It was an easy one to put together and not my regular card either but I am trying to bring back a lot of ideas from my cards I had made 6+ years ago as I always enjoy to re-visit the older techniques mixed with the newer together.  So Instead of making shaker box I decided to make a frame (two different size of Spellbinder dies together (of any shape you want to use).  I started with my card base in white as well as my second layer being on white.  I used an embossing folder from my stash and adhered it to the base.  Then I cut myself a strip of white paper and stamped it with dots in orange and also distressed the edges of the same color with a sponge.

I took my frame (circle) and sponged the outside edge with orange once again.  My stamped focal image was a very old stamp I have in my stash I decided to use again.  On another Spellbinder circle die, I proceeded to stamp 3 times my image.  Which means for this technique you do not re-ink your stamp between stamping.  The image gradually becomes like a shadow, but offers a great dimensional look.

I then sponged the image background in orange and added some pearl dots to my stamped image.  I adhered my stamped on frame to the focal image with dimensional foam tape.  I used some of the butcher cord I have and made a bow to be placed on top of the frame.

Another fun card to add to the bunch.

I hope you had a fantastic weekend.  My thoughts are with you folks who are experimenting the deadly heat anywhere around this lovely planet.  It is not easy when all you have is a fan to keep you cooler.  July is always a though month for heat.  So please stay safe and cool.

Here I am, surprise!  I found some time to post another card I made for you to enjoy.  As you know I make dozens of cards all the time and it has to be flat in order to mail at cheaper cost.  So many of you appreciates the flat ones and frankly I find them harder to make due to lack of embellishments I can use for FLAT cards.  If I ever repeat a card please forgive me.  I have a system that once I have posted a card for you I remove it from the folder I had it in so I don't post it again but my system is not infallible.  I do my best though!

Today was too hot for me and there were too many bees in the yard to be able to work freely without worries.  If you have been bit by a bee before you remember how it is like and you make sure you don't upset any while around them.  I should say when they are around me. LOL  So I fed the fishes in the back and front ponds and I am in to post this for you.  I hope you enjoy it.

How I made this card:

I had a rubber stamp I had purchased at the Mesa AZ stamp show in March this year and was on my table since that day.  I finally used it.  I thought it was cute and a good use for the ladies who are getting together to scrapbook once a week.  This one was another simple one from that simple collection of flat cards.  I chose my background matting pattern paper, then picked two colors of CS that would mix well with it.  I used my Spellbinder oval die cutting the first layer that had the stamped image on and then the second layer was made by tracing the outside edge of that same oval die and cut around with scissors.  The third layer was made with the next die up in the set.  Another die cut was used to make the stamped Sentiment  which I had in my stash.  I of course sponge daubed around my cie cuts before removing them off the dies to add more interest to the image.

I also colored everything with my Prismacolor pencils with Gamsol (Odorless Mineral spirit) and a paper stump.  My card base is in white, I then added my rusty colored mat then my pattern paper.  The green oval mat, then on top the rusty oval CS and finished off with the stamped image.  You can use some 3D foam tape once for a flat card but anymore than that postage will be increased.  Then I added my Sentiment at the bottom and it was done!

Happy 4th of July

Hi Friends

Happy 4th of July to all Americans wherever you are in the world!

Hey everyone!  I am not too far I am only on a short vacation doing all sorts of work around the homestead right now so I will be back sometime next week with more cards for you.  There are some parties going on at neighbors we can hear kids playing so it will be a day with celebrations in our town too! 

I may, depending on time of course, post more cards before that.  I can do so much outside in 100F 35C type of weather and we don't have much clouds over us until 3:30 pm praying for more Monsoon rain to come our way today. 

I hope you are all enjoying Summer time where it is Summer and for my friends down under I hope you are all staying warm.  I hear some of you can't stay warm enough.  I wish I was there right now LOL.  As I always said, I prefer to add clothes on then not being able to remove any clothes anymore and still be too hot LOL.  So I hope you enjoy your time off and will be back before you know it.
