Hi Friends
Today I have an anticipation news to tell you and a card to share. So I will begin with my exciting news. Yesterday I was browsing the internet to find a cutting/embossing machine that would be ELECTRIC. With the amount of cards I make in a month, it was getting ridiculous with my manual machine my wrist is not taking this routine mildly. So I had heard from Mike (Cheery Lynn Designs at the Mesa, AZ show in March 2012, he had been sent a tough cutting/embossing machine to try and break if he could. He had tried it for a few month already and could not break the machine. It is an electric one, all white and elegant looking (BONUS).
He had mentionned that this machine should come to the retail market around July or August 2012. So I was very patient waiting for the unveiling of this super machine with a brain. The rain part is that it will not run if you do not use the right shimming plates, impossible to break... So, being that I already had broken one Cuttlebug machine, scaring the devil out ofmy hubby when it happened, I wasn't about to get another Cuttlebug and have the same exloding scenario happen again LOL. I went back to his site yesterday wondering if this machine had finally made it out there and IT DID!!!!!!!!!! It is called the EBOSSER I was amazed to see if it currently lower in price than the new Fiskar machine out there which is by the way not an electric the last time I checked and most accessories, plates, shimmers were not included in the box so you had to add another $100 to your purchase to get everything needed to do all sizes. This one is only available in North America for now. But it cuts anything within 8.5 in X 11 in go see the video at Cheerylynndesigns
To get back to my EBOSSER, that's right we have ordered one!!!!!!!!!! So I am anticipating to get the machine any day now. My Birthday is approaching quickly so that was a perfect tool to get for a present. Love crafting companies who are releasing new things around my Birthday hee hee. Anyhow, I have a great hubby to have decided to get me this awesome present that will save my wrist from repetitive injury. By keeping my wrists pain free, I can continue to cook dinners for him! Just had to slide this one in, smiling... So this is my big anticipation moment as I am on the edge of my seat waiting for delivery. I will update you on how I like my new toy.
Now here is the card I am sharing for today:
A while back I have shared with you one of the cards I had made using this gorgeous digistamp. I had made a few cards using this stamp so I am adding the other cards today.
As you notice, it is all in the background where I made different changes
Some of them I had colored the hair auburn and others in black. Adding black ribbon and fancy corners, Spellbinders shapes in black or printed background paper, peel offs, crystal effect applied on the lips and glass, all contributed in giving such a different look to the same image.
Thank you for dropping by and leaving a comment, it takes little time and is so encouraging for the author...
