Hi Friends
Here we are another Monday to share with you. In the meantime I know there is a huge storm called Sandy on the East coast battling the shore right now. I wish everyone a safe outcome as I know they have shut down all transportation in preparation of this as well as most businesses are following suit.
BE SAFE EVERYONE!
Here is my card for the day:
I thought this card was really elegant looking once I had added the flowers to it.
Recipe
That I needed to make this card. Shimmering white and turquoise. White CS is the base card. I used the Swiss dots embossing folder for the background, a die cut from Cheery Lynn Designs, Spellbinder Label for the Birthday sentiment peel off. I used the Tim Holtz coordinating ink to ink up the Birthday tag while the die cut was still on the paper. This way you get a beautiful white edge a very effective look.
Flowers, as per yesterday instructions, the flowers came from Heartfelt Creations rubberstamps. Stamped them in the turquoise ink I used for the Sentiment tag. With the help of a stylus and shaping pad I cupped and formed the flowers and added some glitter glue in the middle. Because I am making flat cards, I cannot stack many layers of it in order to keep all of it flatter. It will flatten up some but will still keep some shape and will mail out perfectly. Added some leaves I had cut with the newest leaves from Cheery Lynn Designs it comes in 5 leaves attached for convenience. I really like it because it has the veins already into the die, therefore making it easier to shape on the shaping pad.
Thank you for all the wonderful comments. I am happy to have you as a visitor and if you like what you see, please sign up as a follower so you can get emails when I send out a new post. You will miss nothing from now on. Have a great day!
Keeping an eye on the storm as it is a few hours into this hitting the East Coast by now. Be safe everyone.
Happy crafting!
