Hi Friends
Well, the Balloon Festival is over but I had a chance to take a few pictures of some of them last week. Took me a long time to remove them from my camera, I finally did get around to it am now able to share them with you. I was so happy I could actually see them coming over our house but, unfortunately that day, the mass ascension turned out to be such a headache for so many balloonists and their riders. The winds were tricky so many feet into the air was ideally quiet and then they would get a sudden gust taking them to where they had no plans to go. Some landed on transformers, some were stuck on electric wires in town. I know I wouldn't want to be in one of them when the winds are getting tricky this way.
I saw one balloon, going over my head quite high and a few minutes later, while it was starting to lower for landing it caught a windy spot and was taken quickly back to where it had just flown over me and back to where the river's edge is. I know, I was hoping they would have a safe landing but not all were lucky to get a soft landing that day. They would land and the wind would drag them even further. I am sure all were happy to have landed and there were no serious injuries that I am aware of.
So here are some photos viewed from our yard.
Returning tomorrow with more cards to share, please if you have a quick minute, leave a comment I sure will appreciate it greatly. Thank you for dropping in I hope you enjoyed what you saw.
Happy crafting!
