Hi Friends
I have another card to share with you today. Hoping it is a small treasure for an eye treat!
Refer to the previous post for techniques of this focal point. The rest is as follows:
My card base is in white whisper by SU. I have a gold sheet (found in a large sheet at your local Craft store) 1st mat, second mat is in yellow and last layer (top one) is white linen embossed with a Darice Embossing folder found at a local Craft store. With the help of a Spellbinder laced oval I used some white linen paper to cut and emboss it, then I pencilled the inside of the die cut oval to cut out by hand and took a piece of this same gold sheet and traced the outside edge of the same laced oval die cut to make an angel piece to my focal die cut. So in the end I had 3 pieces before I added the heart on the top. Love this die cut. The Bliss sentiment is also used with a layer of the same gold sheet. Self explanatory. The middle oval I used a Gold Leaf marker (the best there is that hasn't leaked all over for me while using it) to apply gold to the edge, let dry for a few minutes before applying to the rest of the oval die cut. Then the heart goes on top (watercolor technique made, find instructions up above)
Voila! The red in the back ground was the paper I sat the finished card on for a photo taking session :-)
Please leave a comment, let me know what you think, just before leaving. It costs nothing and it is so encouraging to us blogger/cardmakers. Check back tomorrow for more!
