Today's lovely Birthday card in pink was inspired by this rubber stamp image from LOTV one of so many lovely ones in their collection. The cute little lady with her balloons looked too festive not to color her and give her a card to stand on beautifully. So here she is with her quick recipe:
Recipe
I used, white whisper SU card base, some backing paper in my digital stash, yellow CS and shimmered pink CS were used, green for the leaf, foam dimentional, flower stamp trimmed and glittered, heart trimmed and layered, white peel off line on top of the card, the die cut is from Marianne's collection. I inked up all edges in darker pink for more dimension. Finally, for the little darling I colored her with Prismacolor pencils, OMS and paper stumps. Some cord was used to hold the balloons which were attached with dimentional foam. Happy Birthday stamp from my stash.

I chose to share this one card today because of it's simplicity. Crisp looking card because of the white embellishment on dark shimmering blue CS.
Recipe
White CS white linen texture CS blue shimmering CS and grey metallic CS. A die cut of a dried flower, some white string, Liquid pearl white, I'm here for you stamp.
With the Shimmering blue CS I made a false box as you can see better in one of the side photos. I cut the pointy end of all corners and scored the equal mesurements for a fold all around the frame. I attached the dried flower to the frame and added the "I'm here for you" Sentiment stamped in blue. I took this frame, wrapped the string around the frame and matted it to the grey CS. The card base and then the linen CS put together the focal image can be added to the card, I need to also add that in order to keep the false frame up I had to use the dimentional foam all around the inside of that frame. Some Liquid pearl was added at the end of the dried flower

This card was so much fun to make. I really like to make flowers from scratch, not buying already made flowers. But that's just me. Besides, the look of made from scratch flowers is making me prouder of my work in the end. Speaking of this work I better share and give you the recipe:
Daisies in a frame
Recipe
CS needed white for card base, navy blue CS, sky blue CS, Sentiment stamp from my stash. Green CS for stems and leaves, white CS for punched daisies, yellow Liquid Pearl for the middle of the daisy. Background paper from digi stash.
I made 3 daisies as per seen in the photos, folding a daisy punched out in half then Liquid Pearl and leave a side to dry. Straight stems were cut, I used one of the Cheery Lynn Designs leaves die cut glue on the daisy to the stem and leaves when the flower was dry.
I made the fancy frame from the Spellbinder set Antique Frame and Accents S5-083 in sky blue then I glued the daisies behind the frame in a pleasing way to me. The rest of the card is straight forward to see how it was assembled.

These are the two cards together
This stamp is from SU of a few years ago. It is a wide silhouette stamp. After making the background with inks, then adding the stamp in the foreground heat embossed in white I decided that it was large enough to make two cards out of the one image. So this is the result
Recipe
Card base white whisper SU, linen texture in white CS, Rust color CS. I just heard stamp from my stash. SU silhouette stamp, sorry I only kept this stamp from the set and lost the name of the set. Embossing white powder, embossing ink, heat gun. Memento ink pads, sponge daubers or makeup sponge. The rest is straight forward to put together.

Monday already and getting warmer by the day here. Gardening is keeping me busier as there is quite a bit to get done. We have water loss problems so we have to dig the irrigation system to find where the water we are losing is going. So this will not be fun, but it will save plants and money. Not doing it is not an option.
Today's card was both a glorious sunny day and a card I had once seen I had thought how simple to make but so pretty because of the warm colors in it. I hope you enjoy it and the recipe that comes with it below:
This card inspired by the sunshining colors and ideas I had seen online. So a mix of everything can make a really pretty card.
Recipe
Card base is white, the colors of CS's next layer are two tones (hues) of orange colors that complements eachother. I usually take all my colors in the same range and put them in a playing a card game way so you can see what appeals to you the most. I had a flower in my stash that fit perfectly to the card as it almost looks monochromatic the middle of the flower I punched out a circle and cupped it into a candi shape and dotted it with a copic pen adhered it with some dimentional foam so it will keep its shape. I used a satin ribbon 1/4 inch wide. A wheat stamp, stamped in brown (Memento) a Thinking of you Sentiment, 3 dots of Liquid Pearl on the top left corner to look like half pearls
Done!

Remember a week ago I had said that the first butterfly card had little sister and brother. So here is the rest of the butterfly family. On this post you will find 2 cards and a link to send you back to the first card I showed you and for the recipe as I will not repeat it on this post.
This card was made slightly different from the first one you saw a week ago. The other card has an embossed blue CS making the card darker looking. This one with more of the white CS visible it changes the look so perfectly. I hope you enjoy this card once again but with small differences.
This last card was also made the same way except that I wanted to a tiny bit more interest so I added an older die cut from Cuttlebug it was a postage stamp frame. So I cut one up and cut it in half as you see on the outside of the butterfly frame.

white whisper SU, white linen texture, green with patterns background paper, black CS, Black Tuxedo Memento ink pad, a frame stamp and a bird card lodging a tenant, and finally a Hello Sentiment stamp. The cage stamp was a Dollar purchase and it does stamp really nice, not all cheap stamps are created equal.
First layer is the card itself, then the pattern background paper, then the linen textured CS, then we have a Spellbinder die cut scalopped rectangle with the pattern paper, next is a with on black frame, then pattern paper on black CS, it is put together after it has been stamped.
Done!

Today I chose to share this Dress form card for a Heartfelt thanks which I thought was very feminine. Look below for the recipe:
Recipe
This card was easy to make with little material needed. Inks and sponges were used for dressform and the mirror. The dressform has a stamped swirl on it and I had a charm "heart with bow" to use so I attached it to the dressform. The Spellbinder Floral oval was used for the mirror, I then traced the inner oval from the die cut to create another layer to insert in the mirror but before that I inked up the edges of the mirror, stamped the Heartfelt thanks Sentiment. The card base is white, the next layer was a rust colored CS. The next layer is in white and have used a lattice embossing folder. Then finished off the card with the elements I previously explained how to.

First official day of Spring on the calendar but the Spring Solstice is varying of a day usually but when I see 21st it is good enough for me and believable enough as well. So I am happy it is not Winter anymore.
This tulip card was made with a Stamp from Blockheads Paper Arts. I purchased the full sheet way back, but when visiting again I saw that each tulip stamp can be purchased individually, so this is more afordable if you have the intention to get this stamp you have the info and the link is: www.blockheadstamps.com
Recipe
2 color of CS needed, white for card base and lavender for the next layer and a Spellbinder shape to create a window in white. I colored my tulips with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. The leaves were also colored with pencils I used two tones of green on them. Once the frame was made I took my colored image that I had cut out with scissors and craftknife carefully, before placing the framed layer to the card you first have to check where you will glue your image for a great effect, I decided to have the tulip go over the frame with part of a leaf so it looked more natural. Permanently tacky glued it in position and made sure the tulips were also securely attached to the lavender CS. I tried to add a bow to this card but it wasn't doing it justice so I kept it simple.

If you are a follower of my blog you know that I had posted a card a week or so ago that had 3 layers with flowers randomly stamped and it was in green. Today I am posting the other similar technique card that I made. In my stamp stash I have a cherry stamp I had never used before (we all do it LOL) but my excuse was, it was just rubber and was never mounted until lately when I had about 50+ stamps to mount on cling foam. When I finally had enough time to mount them I was happy to get it done as it is a really sticky unpleasant job to do but after it is done it is happy time!
So that cherry stamp will make the card even more than anticipated so I hope you enjoy it. Here it is:

Recipe
If you ever doubted the ease of making a card like this, think again. It is as easy as 1-2-3 and I mean that.
Once you have your card base (mine is in white) you go from there to measure your first layer to go to the card base first (back layer). That will make sure you are not running out of space when you will adhere the 3 layers down when ready to do so.
There are two ways to do this.
Fisrt way: Take your 3 layers of white CS pre-sized and with a little bit of tape attach the 3 layers together in this card you would not have the red layer attached yet. JUST WHITE. Then you stamp your image randomly making sure you leave room for the Sentiment in the middle. You simply go around each edge of 3 layers and ink up the edges and tape finished all of your layers to the base card. End of First way.
Second way: Do the stamping like the first way and color everything you want to color and then layer 1/8th inch behind each later, in this case, I used red so in the end of this way, you end up with 6 layers of CS not counting the card base. End of second way.
To finish this card off you need to stamp your Sentiment in the middle, or if you want to play longer, use a die cut no larger than the middle layers to add the Sentiment on. But remember, you already have a total of 8 layers including the card base 2 layers and add 2 more for the card insert. So you have the tools to chose what you prefer and both ways are very pretty.
Tip: You will think when you stamp your image OH NO, it is showing a non stamped edge between all the layers. it is expected. When you will ink up your edges it will fade away the missing ink or when you color cover the coloring to the very edge of the layer. If you choose the method of adding a colored CS layer you won't need to worry because the layer will hide that.

Today I am sharing a tulip card. Spring is here and tulips are too. So I thought it was the perfect time to share some of my tulip cards. There will be more than this one. So here we go:
This tulip card was so much fun to make, scroll down to the end of the page to see the recipe for it
The colors on this card were so easy to choose it looked as if it was meant to be this way
The sponging on CS is nothing in comparison to what linen texture look like, it imitates a canvas to a certain extent. It is beautiful to see the layers coming to life in front of me.
Recipe
Material needed: CS in white for card base, layers in green and turquoise and a white frame.
A stamp I miss you so much, crystal lacquer (optional), 4 ink pad colors for the scene, and 1 stamp of a tulip, I colored the tulip with Prismacolor pencils, black tuxedo Memento ink pad for the Sentiment.
First layer is green slightly cut smaller than the card base, second layer is the Turquoise CS to go under the frame and image. Third layer, the inked image with the tulip, make sure you stamp your Sentiment to the scene before adding the frame on top with dimentional foam. If you notice the tulip was cut one extra time to add more dimension to the card I added some crystal lacquer to the tulip flower and the leaves. Next time I will not touch the leaves.
The frame is always made the same way see photo below. Frame instructions: 2 Spellbinders die cut of different sizes taped together with equal sides to it. Then run through your cutting machine no embossing required. This is your frame. I hope you had a great time looking at this card and its recipe. It just brings such happy feelings into me I just can't help it and I won't, it feels FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!
For today's card I have chosen to show you this one along with a recipe to be found after the last photo.
Cardstock needed is white for base and stamped part, turquoise for layering and a strip, I printed out the horizontal line background paper from my digital stash which is so gorgeous and not too dark (saving ink is good). Certainly Celery CS
Colored with Prismacolor pencils. An inch wide geen satin ribbon is used. Happy Birthday Sentiment, an embossing folder for the turquoise strip, a Spellbinder made for JustRite Stampers # JB-03995 called "Vintage Labels Three" , blue Liquid Pearl bottle, and you are good to go.
From my white lace stash accumulated from when I was living in China. The blue strip of fowers was from a store in town that were selling them by the yard. I simply took a Copic marker and colored the off white flowers and it colored quickly and dried even quicker since it is alcohol based ink.
I love the look of both ribbons together
Recipe
I already listed the material needed for this card between photos. Now to put this card together it is easier than it looks.
Card base (white) then prepare, two layers one of Turquoise 1/8 inch smaller than the A2 size card, then adhere the background paper to the turquoise CS so you have two layers together. Before you lay it down to the white base card make sure you add your ribbon lengthwise and attach it to the back of your 2 layers and then tape it to the base card.
Once my image has been colored I use the die cut to center the image onto it and run it through the Ebosser and run again to emboss the edges. I trace the outside edges of this die cut to cut around it with scissors and attach the two together. When the image is down on the card and you know where you will set it later you can used your Turquoise strip of paper and emboss it with a folder then adhere it to the card base to the right width needed. Then I dyed my flower strip to cut to exact size for the width of the card I did the same with the lace ribbon but the lace ribbon is the one that goes down first. Then the flower strip will hide the edge of your lace ribbon. No tucking under, it would be too thick and unsightly. Then finish by adding your focal image on dimentional foam to give the image a lifted look.

HAPPY ST-PATRICK'S DAY
The middle of the month already which means Spring is officially upon us just a few days and we say bye bye to Winter. Did I ever tell you that my favorite seasons are Spring and Fall. Just for the comfort that cooler days bring, but I like Summer for gardening early in the morning LOL. I don't do well in the heat. So I do things early or when the sun is setting. My shedule changes with the seasons. Isn't that funny? As they say we adapt to situations and that's my way. Hoping we have a not so HOT Summer. But, it is a wish hee hee.
On the card front, I have been enjoying my card making sessions a lot more lately. The more time I have to make cards the more time I can prepare for them. This last batch was really encouraging me to just show more of my ideas and styles. I read that some of you think that I have many styles...Well, that is easily explained. My thoughts on making cards is, if you limit your style and expressions, you can only do so much. I love all techniques, some more than others. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE to experiment. I have paint (watercolor tubes, pen, crayons, flat chips, ink pads, re-inkers, acrylics, paint brushes to suit all techniques and I pass. So having medias to work with is enlarging my array of experiments. Trying what I think I can't do is shocking me when I try and get results that impresses me. So I just hope that you try with a few colors like especially with the watercolor it is much more afordable try getting a kit of 24 colors and play! Watercolor paper pads will help you make the best of your experiments. I cannot emphasize enough on TRYING is giving you so much pleasure. Who knows some of you will discover the artist in you, not ever knowing you had hidden talents worth discovering.
So let's get to the card of the day here. Today I decided to show this card and will display the recipe at the bottom as usual. Remember the watercolor I was talking about?

Recipe
This card is another one I truly felt I was in my element for this technique with a combination of Rubberstamps/Acrylic either or is good as long as you have a good quality imprint. Memento Tuxedo Black was used for the butterfly and the script in the background. Embossing folder of choice on Royal Blue CS, watercolor paint chips in royal blue, toothbrush dedicated for crafting only, white CS for the card base and crystal lacquer. Water spritzer bottle, regular inexpensive paint brush. That's all you need
For the watercolor technique, on a piece of watercolor paper I sprayed it with water to get a wet consistency, then I applied some paint directly to the paper and sprayed into the color to make it run and moved my paper around to spread the color, dried it with my heat gun, then re-applied another coat of blue and did the same. If you choose to go back a third time it's up to you. (Experimenting is the key word) then when completely dry, I stamped my butterfly to the area where I wanted it on. I made sure my stamp was well inked and I DID not rock it, just applied a little pressure while standing up. Wait to the very end to apply the crystal laquer to the top butterfly. You don't want to iron it flat with some dried lacquer on.
On another piece of WC paper I trimmed a rectangle and stamped a script to the left side and prepared more blue paint for this piece. With your toothbrush in a safe area where there are no walls to spray, I tipped my toothbrush into the paint and flicked the paint ( See photo below)
This is the way I hold my brush so it doesn't make the color splash anything else but the card below. From the front of the brush, you pull back the bristles toward you with the paint on. I have no paint on it in the picture but your thumb will get paint on, but it reminded me of my Grade 1 crafting at school it was fabulous to play and get dirty again.
Continuing with the technique... Once I have flicked enough small dots of paint on my card. I take a watercolor brush and fill it up with the rest of the blue I have around the chip and (see photos below)
for a better understanding of the motions you have to make to get the larger drops on your paper.
Step 1 the brush is slightly higher to your index finger, step 2 touches your index finger. The motion is used in a delicate way so you don't get too much paint in the same spot. A few larger dots are enough so this is not hard to do. Of course you will line up your card under your paintbrush. Once you have done it and saw the larger dots of watercolor paint on the card you will see the difference between them and the toothbrush dots.... my dots being darker than the rest indicates that I rubbed my paintbrush a little more in the paint I had left so it is contrasting a little with the rest of the toothbrush dots.
Continuing the tutorial....You need to once again stamp your butterfly on the card once all the dots are dry, make sure you have checked what position you want your butterfly to go because where you stamp it at now is where the finished butterfly will go as it's shadow or angel. Apply pressure on your stamp while standing, without rocking your stamp.
Your first butterfly you made if you see it needs a little help to flatten it up, between two paper towels use your craft iron to flatten it out without steam. Then you are ready to cut around it and if you are not comfortable with the antennas leave them out. You can add some craft wire with a small swirl to replace the paper one or just leave as is. With dimentional foam cut 2 strips the length of the butterfly's body and adhere the butterfly to final resting position. Then, attach it to your card.
What I normally do when it is a little messy of a job I make the mess for about 3-4 of the same focal image so I have some left for more cards when the time comes to make more of similar or different backgrounds. I will try this in yellows and oranges it would be a delight to see those colors as well.
I hope you enjoyed this technique. I will try this Summer to re-enact these tecnhiques by video. So if you prefer the visual you will get to see it later, but for now if you want to do it you will have to go with the written version.
Dare to play, dare to imagine, you are only limited by what you choose to limit yourself with. Dare to be pleasantly shocked. It is not always about the craft market out there which is rather expensive, but we all have these paints in our drawers and a simple brush to play with and most times the results are putting to shame the cards that have been made with so many different die cuts. I guarantee you that the satisfaction of making this type of card is much greater than one that you cut and glue with huge ribbons and store purchased flowers. Both are pretty but the simple beauty of a card like this cannot be compared to the other kinds that are leading you to buy more and more.

Replying to some comments from yesterday's blog. Ok Ladies, my DH is staying right here LOL. I am not sharing him, but I am totally agreeing with you all his work is brilliant and there is more to come. I will share as he gets them done. But I am not sharing him LOL of course I am selfish and with good reasons obviously hee hee I told him about all the compliments on his work and he was very happily flattered even blushing a little. So thank you from both of us.
I started this card when I realized I had 3 flowers left from another project. See the short recipe below.
Recipe
White CS was used for card base and green pattern paper for background. The main die cut used is from Cheery Lynn Designs, I used the middle of the die cut to stamp a flower with a swirl from Heartfelt Creations the flower stamps are also from the same company. I stamped the flowers with some Versamark and heat embossed them with white on pink CS. A get well soon from my stash and last but not least I made a little lady bug from a stamp in my stash. I stamped it and colored the red and then added some crystal lacquer and let it dry. Cut around it and used dimentional foam to adhere it to the card.
At the end I used some white liquid pearl on the green paper trio of pearls to add more interest

Yessssssss, I am so excited!
I wanted to add another blog for today because I have to show you my latest ink pad unit my Hubby made for me after measurements specifications and loads of patience for him to have enough time to make one for me. There are two more coming a little different than this one, but we started with the biggest one I needed like 5 years ago, but now that we are settled in our new home, he can finally fiddle around in his workshop. So anyway, here is my latest unit to make it to my studio work station, I am proud to present to you:
My ink pad unit for SU ink pads TaDam!!!!!!!!!!
The latest item of my studio organization. It has 96 slots for ink pads. I love inks of all colors I use ink on all of my cards or pretty close.
This is work in progress I have some ink pads in there that are discontinued and some that don't belong there. But today I am making some labels on some that have no name when you are looking at it just like in the picture.
I want to also thank my wonderful DH for taking the time it took to make this for me. The first one is always the hardest one to make. We are not counting the hours it took and he said, it didn't matter I was worth whatever time it takes. Awwwwwwwwwwwww
The next project for him aside from home repairs will be the ink pad holder for my Tim Holtz Distress pads and re-inkers. Will show you when it is done. My room is starting to look like I want it to look but will not show pictures until I have it finished around my work station.
Before I leave, I wanted to tell you that, I am suspicious that we will have any Spring as it went from cold to hot. Yikes! 8 month long Summer is a long long time being HOT hee hee. Get ready to see some flower photos in the mix of card sharing.

Today's card is one that I wanted to use one of my lace background stamp from Justrite stampers. It is gorgeous and even more so when it is heat embossed on dark CS. Read more in the recipe posted below just for you.
Daisy on lace card
Recipe
This will be interesting to describe but bare with me I can only try. Material needed if you want to make the same thing. White and Glossy Navy blue CS. Tissue paper strip (shimmering kind was used). Green ink pad with sponge dauber. Cheery Lynn Designs flower set for leaves and for the daisy die cut. Some yellow Flower soft was used for the Daisy
(tip on how to make your own for cheap cheap cheap: Buy some styrofoam balls or sheets at a Dollar store near you and rub them together and what falls on the table is your flowersoft, just die with cake coloring or waterbased re-inkers, leave to dry, Dye what you need so you always have the white kind in stock ready to die to the color you so desire)
Fold your daisy in half paying attention to getting all the petals to show if you can. Add a bad of glue in the middle of the fold so it stays shut. Then add PVA glue (fast clear drying glue in your stash) to the middle of the daisy and add the Flowersoft to it tapping gently to adhere as much as you can on the small half circle area you have for this. Attach a stem and a few die cut leaves and set aside.
For the Lace stamped background. You need clear embossing ink all over your stamp make sure it is completely covered because a laced stamp will easily show a mistake if you do miss a spot unless you know you can hide the hit and miss spot. Stamp your laced image to your darker CS and again make sure you apply pressure in all corners and middle of the stamp add some embossing powder in wite to cover your image, re-insert the powder that didn't stick to the bottle where it came from. Remove the stamp and flip off the excess powder on the back of the CS over a waste basket preferably. Now heat emboss your image in circular motions do not leave the heat in the same area you risk to burn your embossing and CS.
Outside frame, once I determined how large I wanted my outside frame I used my Spellbinders A2 matting basics B that would suit the size I needed I first cut out the matting size of CS then centered the die cut on the matting piece and cut it. I was left with a centered opening to house my lace piece behind. I took my strip of tissue paper folded it half lengthwise and formed a stepcase by applying a bead of glue at the bottom so when I fold it sticks better.

I am enjoying another beautiful Spring like day but we are undeniably getting closer to the official day of Spring so all is good.
For today's card shared for your viewing pleasure I know that some of my followers are loving blue cards as much as some for pink you know who you are ;-)
I realized I have added far too many photos of the same card here, but I figured if you like it, you will enjoy more shots of it.
I love it when I color so many images ahead of time. When I am in a bind for time, I grab one of my images and make a quick card with it. In this case I was bind for time for 80 cards so it was a quick card and I really enjoyed the look of it when done. I hope you do too.

White and blue CS are the main products but I also have used a Spellbinder called Small Deckled rectangles. I made a frame with the help of 2 dies taped together and passing through my Ebosser machine for a great looking professional frame. This image was another digital image from my stash. It was a pleasure to color this image with my Prismacolor pencils with gamsol and a paper stump. Works wonders and so effective.
I also used a background stamp I have in my stash I wish I could give you more info on this stamps but I didn't keep the wrapping. Dimentional foam was used to attach the flower behind the frame. The rest is straight forward to see how it was made.
P.S.: I will have another card to share made with this same digistamp later on.

I must say one of my favorite cards that gives such a impact for me are always the B&W cards. So without exception I had to make one in this huge amount of cards. I had some new Die cuts I wanted to try out and there was nothing more fun than trying them with B&W impact! See recipe below:
Recipe
This card is made with 90% die cuts. White CS for the A2 card base.
2 black brads, Spellbinder Labels Twenty frame in black. Marianne's Designs LR0240 the largest die on the set was used in white and is the first die cut used in the background. Then the black Labels Twenty frame in black. I used more of the Marianne's Designs swirls in black (3 total) 2 were used to the left and one to the right. I then used some die cuts from Cheery Lynn Designs in white and the smallest flower in the set in black to cover the center of the white flower. The white flower was cupped into shape before using fast drying glue to adhere them to the swirl die cuts.
To finish the card I used a sentiment from Gina K Designs Rubberstamp sets, a butterfly could easily be added below the Sentiment.

Today's card was a fun one to make making frame on frame with a false depth look. I was playing around with my Spellbinder Labels Twenty (love this label shape) I wanted to see 2 frames could look good together and then I saw something similar on the Just Rite Stampers site I knew it was going to work and look lovely. The recipe for this card is down below, so sit back and enjoy!

Recipe
White CS for card base A2 size. SU CS for the whole card. The pink layer was then run through my Ebosser machine with this Cuttlebug die cut that I can't set aside for too long. I also used some Cheery Lynn Designs Corners in white to enhance the whole framing experience. I used one of my Just Rite Stampers acrylic sets for the bottom frame that I also heat embossed in Winter White and used the For you Stamp. I made 2 frames and I think because the 2 frames are so close and yet not attached it gives a false sense of depth but it is the same height. The two frames were attached by dimentional foams.

White Linen CS for A2 card base, Spellbinder Floral Ovals S4-356 the largest size of the 4. I trimmed an Oval for the middle of the Black die cut to sit on top, Stamped a butterfly from my stamp stash, cut it by hand, added a dimentional foam and punched a circle to the middle of the oval where I can sit my butterfly on a coordinating piece of coordinating paper I adhered underneath before I added the whole frame to the card itself then added the butterfly gntly bending the wings. Butterfly was inked in Tuxedo black from Memento.
The next card is the same to the exception of the butterfly.

Today's card is about an ocean view made with inkpads and make up sponges and sponge daubers, I love this technique because short of using some watercolor media this is the fastest (no time to dry required) way to get to the result I wanted to accomplish. I have seen many cards overtime with a beach or sunsets done with watercolor techniques both are exquisite in my eyes, so I will leave you with my view of a day at the beach scene and the recipe for it:

Recipe
This card was easy to make, used 5 ink pads of beach and sky and sand colors using a Spellbinder oval shaped die cut, taped with non permanent tape while with circular motions I added one color at a time working my way up in the beach scene. Drawing marker to add birds in flight, and found a great looking umbrella stamp to adhere in the foreground giving an extra dimentional perspective. I frame the image twice (blue and orange) then with two Spellbinder Oval die cuts I let a little of the oval come out on top, bottom, and both sides to then be positionned on a mat blue CS on white CS for the card base.
Simple and very appealing. I am nothing close to be a painter but if I can do this, anyone can do it too. Give it a try you will be amazed about the look you will end up with. No pressure, just give it a practice shot, step outside of your comfort zone and discover a different to your already talented abilities.

I had to write....
This morning I got up early to go to a Rubberstamp show in town, I had such a good time. People were smiling left and right it was really pleasant. Nobody was bumping eachother and every one was polite. So this was such a pleasant experience to go to a show without tripping over a bag on wheels or strollers LOL believe me, this is the place for it to happen LOL. (Mrs Clumsy here) I had missed the one in Mesa AZ last weekend so I am happy to say I got my fix for a while.
Second but I should have started with this though, I am in awe with all the comments I have received on my cards this passed 4 days. Today alone when I came home from the Rubberstamp show, I was shocked to count over 20 emails about my cards. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have no idea how much I appreciate all the comments, by emails or on here, you are so encouraging! You made me teary eyed from happiness. Thank you again.
Thirdly, some of my followers are missing my decoupage sheet shares (photobucket shares and new sheets) as I have stated before in one of my posts, I have had a hard time finding images to decoupage for all of you and I am sorry about that. I miss making them too believe me. From time to time I save images I can see turned into Decoupage and keep them in a folder just for that purpose. Lately I have had so many cards to make, I just finished 70-80 cards and I am back at work with more in the works. It leaves me with hardly anytime left for anything else these days. Plus gardening season is looking at me. PHEW!!!
Even some cleaning chores are late every week because I want to finish this and that. I have not turned the page completely on Decoupage, I have to fix my Photobucket account first so you can all get back into it and get what you need. Which will also allow me to insert some new sheets I may do in between projects. I will let you all know when the Photobucket album is fixed, but for now I am sharing cards I made and will make cards intensely until July and then, I can add more to my schedule depending on how many people are wanting Decoupage sheets to come back...email me and let me know if you want me to continue. It goes without saying that the number of people wanting them will determine if I want to add more time to them.
That is all I wanted to pass on for today. I am so excited from all the comments, I can barely sit still. Now time to go unpack my Stamp show goodies.

White Whisper SU for card base, white linen texture, Burgundy CS, Gold CS, Gingham burgundy 1 inch wide ribbon, Technique Tuesday acrylic stamp set, Memento Black Tuxedo ink pad, ink Burgundy color, sponge dauber.
Stamped my images, trimmed to size and inked up the edges, then matted to burgundy CS and then Golden CS, I adhered the ribbon behind the linen textured mat into position and finished up by adding my focal image. Done

For the passed few days our weather has improved so much so it is feeling like Spring is here to stay. But I won't hold my breath, we could still have some cooling surprises. It could change as it usually does until April so I am sitting tight watching nature happen every day as I also noticed my roses are starting to have leaves so it is calling my name to start to fertilize and prepare them for a new season. Like last year I will share the photos of my garden with you just to brighten up the blog with natural photos.
For today, though, here is another card I have made lately. So I hope you enjoy it and I want to take a line or two to tell you how happy I am to read your comments everytime I put a card out for your viewing enjoyment. Thank you!

White whisper SU for card base and digi silhouette stamp, stamped and resized before printing, pink ink, Oval Spellbinder, Heartfelt Creations flower rubberstamp set (smallest of the flowers), a tiny paper punch flower, Diamond Stickles, fern punches, 2 coordinating paper patterns, corners from Spellbinder's edge line I cut to adapt into a corner. 3 white brads and peel off gold dots.
The flower bouquet is the part that took the longest to finish up but this is when I lose myself in the fun of arranging flowers, etc. Depending on the flower arrangement sometimes you need to arrange the flowers aside and when the look you want is reached, decide if you want to start with fern, leaves under or if you want to make the bouquet and only add the greens later. In this case because the flowers were tiny, I chose to start with leaves and sit the flowers in a pleasing way then adhere to final position. I also added some Stickles in the flower centers.
The Silhouette stamp with umbrella that I had to resize to the size I needed it for my A2 size card. I made the umbrella by picking one of the pattern paper and used some Stickles on the umbrella edge. I inked up the corners in pink, the edge of the card before adding the pattern layer, the layer edges as well, and the Oval die cut edges with a sponge dauber.

Oh I am having difficulty picking which card to show next as the choice is overwhelming. So I finally picked one I had great reviews from Hubby when he saw it. I don't show him all the cards but this one I was really happy with the work I had done I had to share it with him. So this is the one I picked for today folks.

This card is so much better in the flesh the photos are not giving it justice and sometimes we just can't help what the camera wants to give us...
Recipe
White CS for base, white linen texture for mat, beige CS, Just Because Sentiment from stash, a cut out pot for the flowers in some exotic pattern paper to look oriental, cut out a stand for the pot, any die cut of branches you have in your stash, tissue paper (white), Copic brown, picture frame was cut out from a Graphic 45 paper pack in my stash (Oriental theme), tacky glue, snail runner.
Only need to tell you about the flower. I was trying to make a flower I had never seen made before at least not on a card anyway. After looking into my closet full of handmade paper and gift paper and so on, I saw the tissue paper sitting on the shelf and got an idea.
This flower type is tiny so if you don't mind working on a small scale of things you will love this one. I ripped up a stripe of tissue paper about 6 inches long, and with a copic marker in brown or E37 Sepia, to color the base of the flower but these two are made separately. Flower first and then wrap the flower base with the brown. Copic or alcohol based markers are best because the flower at this point is still wet from the glue gathering and will grab the base easier while wet and won't smear on your white flower.
flower making I grabbed about 2 inches of the strip and pleated gathered as much as I could adding a dab of glue at the tips and middle. When I have more time I will add photos of this technique for you to understand better it is not easy to explain on here. So once your flower is complete just add a dab of glue behind it and adhere the flower to one end of the branch you have on the side. No need to make more than 5 flowers as I always say less is more and in this case it is so true.
Note: The gathering of the tissue paper can be done with the help of craft tweezers and if it is easier for you to make a longer flower and rip it in half do that! Make sure to gather the two opposite ends before tearing it up in half.
The rest of the card is easy to figure out. I will make more of this type of flower as I thought it was something I would want to go back to when I have more time. Then I will make a video or photos to explain it better. The advantage of this flower is that it is great on a meant to be flat card.

As I was reading in one of my emails, I had not realized yet, that Easter is in March this year. We are so used to have it in April that it was strange to know how early it is this time, I have a few Birthday cards to make for this month and April as well so I will be continuing making cards and you are about to be treated with a lot of viewing for this Spring. I hope I can give you some inspiration to get you going. I love this time of the year to make cards with flowers and beautiful sunsets, anything goes and the bright Summery looking colors are so uplifting.
So lets get to the cards of the day:

Oh this was a fun one to make a little more time consuming than the quick card but nevertheless an attention grabber...
What you need for a similar card. White whisper SU CS for card base. Yellow CS and white textured linen for frame and lattice. Spellbinder Lattice die cut, two of the largest rectangle Spellbinder to assemble to make a frame as per shown below in the tutorial photo. A group of chickies stamp (this one is from Prickley pear called 6 chicks in a row HH0095, wood mounted. Easter Sentiment stamp from my stash. Inks and Yellow copic (3 hues) for chicks
First I made my tulip. Ripping some linen textured paper close enough to make the tulip flower. With ink pads and finger dauber I then inked up the yellow for the flower and did the same method for the stem and leaves. Then inked up in two green hues to give some dimension and depth. Colored my chicks and cut around with scissors. Made my lattice frame and lattice put the frame and lattice together and attached it to the card on dimensional foam. Adhered my tulip. Placed the chicks on the bottom of the lattice frame. For the tag I simply kept the same scheme of the paper ripping technique and stamped the Sentiment after having inked it up the same manner as the flower. That's it.
To make the frame that the lattice will be attached to. Or simple measure away and make your own frame if desired.

White CS card base, white textured linen CS, purple CS, chicken wire background stamp, purple ink, chicks stamp as per described up above for the other card. Happy Easter Sentiment from stash, made from scratch daisies on a black string and some yellow liquid pearl for the center, daisy leaf from Cheery Lynn Designs flower sets. Spellbinder Label 20, tacky glue and snail runner double sided tape.
Stamped my chicken wire background stamp and cut to size for my mat. Then stamped and colored my chicks with3 copic yellow hues, cut around with scissors, punched out some daisies folded them in half, added the liquid pearl to the center and set aside to dry. Prepared 3 black stems to attach to flower. Next step was to make my Spellbinder white label and draw around the same size die to make its angel behind in purple. I then in circle motion applied some blue ink with sponge dauber on my label frame to similate the blue sky, foam dimensional behind the chicks then added the daisies to the back of the image on each side and the center one I placed in front of the chicks and added a leaf. Stamped my Happy Easter stamp and the card was done.

Today I am sharing my last cards for St-Patrick's day for this year. I hope you have found some ideas in my cards if you have to make a few of them to send out. But I think it was a fun one to make for the first time and will probably try to make a few next year too. It is fun to send cards and surprise someone who has not seen it coming. hee hee
So for today's share here they are (2 recipes for you today):

Another spur of the moment made from scratch background in playing with ink and stamps.
White whisper CS for card base, white textured linen CS, Spellbinder octagonal set, swirl die cut from stash, MS clover leaf punch, inks, half pearls, tacky glue and snail runner.
As you can see this is another straight forward card to make starting with the background, once it is to your liking, it is adhered to the card base and then the next layer is cut to desired matting size then the octagon is cut in the middle of this layer to be adhered as well then I added the embellishments as you see them until it was eye pleasing. Finished with the half pearl touch and I had my other St-Patricks day card which can also be used for a Good luck card.
My next and last card for this occasion is next:
That was a quick card, rare ones I make, but I liked the look once it was all done. The ink bottom gives a great finishing touch to the card.

Easy peasy! White whisper Su card base, white linen textured CS. Green ink one hue of choice. Sponge dauber. Oval punch from SU. MS clover leaf punch used as a mask. Good luck Sentiment from rubberstamp stash.
For the clover leaf in the oval technique, with my punched out leaf I placed the leaf in the position I wanted it in and sponge daubed my way around the leaf to leave a white impressionand finished off the green throughout the oval and inked up the white edges where the leaf is. I tried to mask the leaves so it was in different positions as a trio. I stamped GOOD LUCK in the leaf for the middle oval.
As for the inking the bottom of the card. That was done on a separate layer as a practice canvas but it turned out the way I wanted it to look so my practice canvas ended up being my final piece to this card. I tried to give it a degrading color effect. Darker from bottom to lighter as I go up. This degrading look is a good thing to practice as you can use this in many cards, in my case I use it when I do some watercoloring and need a background nature like effect, sunsets and such.

Today I have another St-Patrick's Day card to share. I know some of you out there are always baffled as to what to make for a card. It is to me, the next hardest card to make after the masculine cards...it is way up there on the list of not so easy cards to design. So, that being said my next card is this one:

White whisper CS by SU, white textured linen, green CS for clover leaves. MS clover leaf punch, Oval Spellbinder die cut, Joy Crafts 6002/0147 Cutting and embossing lattice. Background was created by stamping a few stamps and rubbing inks with sponges until the desired look was obtained. Crystal lacquer was also applied to the clover leaves
FYI: I am still enjoying my new Cutting/embossing machine EBOSSER as well as my new paper cutter Cutter Pillar Pro. Two magnificent tools I could not live without now that I have grown accustomed to both of them.

So I am hoping that this time this one will stick. I used to call things that were happening on
my computer that were unexplained or made no sense to me, (the green man is
screwing things up), which brings me to my cards for today.
I normally don’t make St-Patrick’s Day cards but this time I
decided to make a few with an elegant touch to them. I know I love to go outside of the norms
because it brings smiles and interest. I
wanted to show you first, the card I made in a card making class about 6 years
ago. The teacher wanted us to DOODLE for
St-Patrick’s Day card so I did. Refer to
photo below this text. I miss my
classmates so so much!
That was simple to make and I enjoyed the DOODLING out of my head spontaneity experience 6 years ago.
Now for my recent cards
For this card I used white whisper SU, green CS, white linen CS. A memory box flower wreath and MS clover leaf punch. Small pearls, sponge daubers, 3 ink pads of 3 colors.
I die cut twice the wreath and cut out the bigger flowers and then sponge daubed all the flowers and leaves remaining on the wreath, then I adhered it to the card. After punching out 3 clover leaves, I cupped them on a soft pad with a stylus and daubed a darker green direct to leaf adding slits into each leaf with a needle tool. Adhered the leaves as per seen in the photos and runnerstamped Happy St-Patrick's Day in the middle of the wreath. I hope you enjoyed this card.

I will be one of many to say "Where is the time going" and "How fast" ???? I am not nearly ready for gardening again this year but my Spring flowers will soon break ground to show ravishing colors no matter if I am ready or not. But, I have to get ready. Removing the old dried out plants and prepare the dirt for another great season. Again this year I will take picures of my garden flowers and share them here for you to enjoy. So today I have another card to share. Forgive me this one has a name for what you are about to see. There is 3 matted layers and will explain this one so it makes sense to you.
Here is the card:
Recipe
Pre-determined measurement for 3 matted layers as per seen on photo. Card base is in white and the Certainly Celery green for matting, and the rest was all done on white whisper. I picked a rubberstamp I liked the look for a repetitive pattern. My stamp was from Heartfelt Creations. The Focal image was a stamp set from JustRite stamping that matches a Spellbinder set. I used Memento ink pads with make up sponge to sponge every edge of each white layer. Dimentional foam, tacky glue an snail runner.
First you determine how many layers you want and what size. Then once you have all of your CS cut out to size align all your white CS only on top of each layer (centered as much as possible) carefully then stamp your image in a random order until satisfied with the look of it. Color th stamped images all around the layers, I used my sponge daubers for the small flowers and for the green I used a make up sponge which would cover a lot more at a time. Left some white spots on purpose to leave some lighting effect in it.
Then adhere the matting on each layer. Put in final position, then your focal image is applied and your card is ready. I will have another one made this way but it is with Cherries. You will recognize it when you see it later on.
