Hi friends,
First, to refer back to the allergy season which is still very much present in my life but better controlled with my little tricks, I am doing not as bad as 2 weeks ago, but there is still some hope that it will be over soon. I love when the allergy season is over I can go and play more with my flowers and such. Recently I have noticed that when digging into the ground for an example I would find up to 3 grubs per square foot. That meant, problems!!!!!!!!!! So yes, I have an invasion of grubs the ugly worms that eats the roots of grass and flowers in its way. So I have to get some specialty stuff to treat it now.
That means, my best looking flowers I had last year, are almost dead. I am trying all I can to minimize the loss but when nature has its way, it is stronger than you and I. So crossing fingers that this stuff will work for us. I would hate to lose my perennials as well as the newest flowers we planted because of this stupid worm.
I was supposed to post some flower pictures by now but unless I am satisfied with the look of the flowers I won't post anything that I deem not worthy of a photo shot. :(
So for now I am posting another card of mine for your viewing pleasure.
Recipe
This will be quick as it is very easy to do. I will start with the Spellbinder die cut I used which is in black. I found one older die cut I had in my stash for this one, perhaps it is still available, not sure. (Pendant Lattice). Anyhow, I had my stamped image which is a Just Rite stamp on white that I have inked up with some mustard colored ink and left the center white. To fit my pendant lattice on my focal image I cut it in half and played with it so I would get the swirls to hang on top of each side of the stamped image. Once I had it in place I was surprised to see how pretty it looked so I kept it that way. Embossed the yellow CS in the background with my Cuttlebug called Wallpaper. I left my card on the table and when I came back the impression I got was, wow, this stands out beautifully so I left it that way no more touch ups were needed.
Have a fantastic weekend everyone!
Thanks for looking!
