Hi Friends,
Today I have a fun card to show. It was really nice to figure out the way to do the fold and keep the interest going when I open the card. Once you see the photos you will see what I mean. So here is the card:
This card was fun to make. I had made many more roses from the card I will teach in class and wanted to try something I had not done yet. So this is the result!
I improvised this card as I went. I knew I wanted the size to be 5 1/2 in X 5 1/2 in square. I knew I wanted an Autumn feel. Roses had to be part of it. So this is what the result I got.
THe very base card is white. The front half panel is layered with green and light cocoa and the same applied to the back of the card. Labels twenty (Spellbinders) was then used and matted after embossing the green layer with a tree bark pattern that comes with the Brick wall by Tim Holtz.
The back panel was then created by aligning with the front panel frame. Happy Birthday was stamped on the white layer.
The dies used on this card are from Impression Obsession (leaves, roses). Memory Box (butterflies, tree branch. Brown ribbon from stash. Added flowers in adjacent corners to finish it up.
I hope you enjoyed the making of this card and I have inspired you to try your own.
Thanks for dropping in. Leave some love in the comment box, I read all of the comments and when time permits I do reply in the comment box.
