Hi Friends,
I hope you all had a fun and festive season, Christmas and New Years were here and gone so quickly and yet we take a long time to get ready for it each year. The more I age the nore I want an earlier start each year, I am sure I am not alone thinking along those lines.
We had fun and we took care of some little jobs that needed some fixing around the house. It feels good to keep ahead on projects as well as for the first time when we decorate for Christmas, we had everything back into boxes on Jan 1st by 10 pm. A record!
For the card I wanted to share with you today, it was another truly fun card to make and in my scale from 1 to 5, 1 being the easiest, this card was a 2. This was my masculine card version for this year. So if you needed some ideas for a masculine card for Valentine's Day here is one for you. It is an Easel card, more description down below. Here is the card:
Dies you will need if you want to make the same exact card are: Memory Box Love Script #98639 - Cheery Lynn Design, Two of hearts DL128 - Spellbinders Majestic Labels Twenty-Five.
The hearts come as a pair, I simply removed the scalopped off of the cut pieces to make it look more masculine. Golden Carstock and red were the colors used for the card and some beautiful Authentique specialty paper for the background.
6.5 X 4.5 card size. This was an unconventional size card but I started with the outside frame to determine my card size. It is slightly larger than an A2 card therefore you will need a special size envelope. If you have an envelope punch board tool, you will need the 5 X 7 card size envelope.
as you see here the scalopped edges were removed.
Neat little tool once you know how to use it. Great You tube videos to be found
I hope you enjoyed the card today. I hope it has inspired you to create your own or something similar to make it your own creation. Have fun. I will try and post another card sometime soon. I have a card to prepare for the store class so I will be busy coming up with an elgant card.
Have a great week
Be creative, it feels good...
