Hi Friends,
Can someone tell me where does the time fly to??? Honestly, is that what aging does?? hee hee I feel like I am doing a little less than 10 years ago and yet I feel busier, I know it sounds so crazy but it is my reality. Never a dull moment around here.
But, I thought if I don't post this card now, I will find it harder to come and do it later this week so here I am sharing another heart card, hoping to inspire some of you who are still in the "what to do" process. Here is today's card:
This card was made with Impression Obsession "Heart of my heart" Alisa Baker designs E9173. Authentique 12 X 12 paper.
The Sentiment stamp was also by Impression Obsession but that will be a testimony of the paper mess I am in right now, I can't find the set, it has many sentiments on it and loved it because it was one set I can totally use often on many cards. If I do find it, I will add the name of it. So sorry.
What I did with this heart, I stamped it in black. I used some Prismacolor red and brown. I colored the heart edge with red. With some OMS Odorless Mineral Spirit and paper stump I lightened up the red by spreading it wider giving a red edge to the white edge I had left after hand cutting it.
Before I went further, I used a large ball stylus and went all around the edge on the wrong side of the heart giving it a raised look. Added some foam dots by leaving the embossed edge without the foam. I only added the foam dots about 3/4 inch passed the edge. The heart looks raised but the edge is touching the card. Hoping this makes sense to you.
I stamped the heart 2 more times. I cut out the rope alone with the heart once and, then cut out the little heart medallion alone for a third dimension. The sentiment was stamped in black (Memento). Spellbinder simple circles, stickles around the card and around the sentiment.
I hope this shows the raised effect and the 3 dimensional effect. You can easily make this card in about an hour and if you want to make many of them, it is an easy card to make many of, there is no specific coloring how to, you just can't get it wrong.
I have been creative recently but, haven't had a chance to take photos to publish them here yet. So hang in there, I'm not ignoring you nor the blog, I have just little time to share but on the other hand that means I am taking time to create. That's the good news.
I have a simple daisy card to share soon. Some neat techniques to share and products I loved using to make this card. To be continued.....
Thank you so much for dropping in, all of your comments are always appreciated, it makes me smile. I aim to inspire you to be creative and if it worked for one of you today, well, I'm happy.
Remember to smile, it is contagious!
