Hi Friends,
This card is a pride and joy's latest addition to my card collection. I have been preparing this one a little at a time and have been leaving it aside to see what it was missing, but when a card is made with a lot of elements such as a variety of flowers, rushing is not an option. So this is my newly, freshly finished card to share with you, I hope you like it!
This card was a labor of love.
The focal Vanilla rose you see on this card, is one I created by trying different things with. Starting with a mini doily die cut. Once I have taught this flower in class, I may let you see how I made this one. It is really pretty in the flesh...
A great deal of Cheery Lynn Designs die cuts went into this card. Very little Memory Box as well as Impression Obsession die cuts are part of this. Main frame, mini flowers, daisies, roses, wheat... is from Cheery Lynn Designs
This photo shows clearly the stippling I did on the silver CS for the purpose of imitating a mirror. This is a technique I love to use whenever I need the extra depth in a design. It is taking your eyes around the whole card as a whole.
This type of card is obviously a special card you could make for someone definitely important in your life. This type of card, if not given to the recipient in person, is a card that is worthy making a special box for. You wouldn't want this hard work, arriving to destination half or fully crushed. It sure is a statement in itself. At least in my eyes!
Thank you for looking! I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was so much fun, busy and creative, a few headaches along the way were all worth it in the end. Next card to share is a make and take for the store, a quick and fun card to make and it is nothing like today's card. I like to make different styles of cards as you already know that.
So come back soon to see what I have in store for you.
