Hi Friends,
Well, I can't say it enough how quickly time is whizzin' on by at least for us here, yes, I know, I sound like a broken record, but is positive so why not enjoy every minute right? Summer is summering and the gardens are showing how appreciative it is of our watering/fertilizing it. Loving the pay off of the hard work. OMG we will get our first apples this year, how nice! It is probably half the size now, but it is so nice to see it wants to grow here LOL.
Anyhow, I am here today to share another card in a box. This one is much much smaller than the flower ones we have seen a month ago or so. This one has no taker yet, but I am sure some Birthday I have on my list will get to enjoy this surprise. I hope it is pleasing to the eyes. This one I had a butterfly theme in mind and to challenge myself even more, I wanted it to be in B%W. So I present you, with my B&W Butterfly card in a box.
There are so many dies and stamps involved in this card in a box, that I will refrain from describing them, You can make a box like that with all of your accumulated butterfly dies and grass die you have on hand. Save money whenever you can, I say! Acetate and Micron fine point were used on flowers and butterflies.
On the 3 flaps I have added some black pearls after cutting the edges with a MS line punch, just to add more interest to it. All I need to add before sending it to a recipient, is the Happy Birthday in white on the front flap between the two butterflies.
Estimated time it took to make this from start to finish was about 4 hours, the longest I took was on each butterfly. Thanks for coming in. Come back soon!
This is our 5 in 1 apple tree we just planted last year at the end of the Summer. So don't expect to see a humongous apple tree. LOL But it is really growing some beautiful fruits as we keep watching for the little intruders that might want to get inside the beautiful fruits. I thought this shot was nice since it was during the afternoon with a blue sky I got a silhouette when not expected to have one.
The next card in a box I will share with you is one I have made for another special friend. Once I know she has received it I will be able to post it here for you. I have a gift certificate envelope to share next.
In the meantime have a sensational day. Happy Father's Day, Dads out there!
