Hi dear readers,
I hope you all had a fun week, mine was so much fun. I seem to have found a schedule that works well for me. I garden earlier in the morning, then finish up a few chores, to then, come back here to play in my studio, completing some started flowers that had been sitting there overnight and some that needed to be started and so on. My days are going by so quickly, but what I retain from it is that I'm having a great time.
So here are the photos I took today to share with you, click on image to enlarge.
My preferred techniques are those where I wet the paper first. Let dry, ink up, shape and finish up. Time consuming but I obtain the best natural look by taking the time to go step by step. The idea behind all this work is, the more you make of the same flower, it is less work than making just one at a time.
This is one of my favorite flowers thus far. Easy and it only has 2 layers. It's all about the inking technique.
Different shapes, different looks!
Roses are so rewarding to make, it all comes to life as the layers are added one by one.
This flower was an experiment. Totally new to me but I love to improvise, it is only one layered flower. With a sponge dauber and Memento Rose Red ink pad, I sponged the center. I used an extra fine tip marker, dotted the center then I added a glossy accent coat on top of the pink. Then shimmer sprayed the whole flower. It is very pretty in the flesh! 1 1/2 inch dia.
I hope you enjoyed my paper garden part II. Thank you for stopping by, come back again soon! Thanks for all comments, I love reading all of them. Feel free to ask questions on what you see. You will soon get the chance to see cards I make with my flowers.
