Hi Readers,
Today I have a card in a box to share with you. It was one I made for a friend in England. Happy Birthday Rose. She was really happy to receive her card and notice that it was one card in a box that she had been encouraging me to try a few months ago. That was a third one I made but had to wait to send it to her since I was ready earlier for a change.
So today I have the pleasure to share this one with you.
I have put flower making aside temporarily and am in the process of making cards with or without flowers. Birthdays are always coming. I try to stay afloat! So hang in there, there is more to come...
But for now here is the card in a box for today:
With this box I had in mind to make it with hummingbirds and butterflies. I found all the butterflies stamps I had in my stash and colored them all first and see if I liked what I had. I picked a few of the best ones and built my box from there. I had picked 2 papers to work with and had decided to find a way to put a white picket fence on it too.
My main concern after making this box was, even if it folds flat when needed, I still have to find a way to pack it securely so it made it to destination without being too flat. Well, folks, apparently it made it there beautifully, only one butterfly was detached but Rose said she immediately fixed it I sent her card in a padded envelope and put something (could be a piece of styrofoam or packaging material we always have around, secured in the envelope so it doesn't get flat no matter if there are parcels falling on top of the envelope, the foam will prevent the crushing!
I was able to use some of the leftover flowers I had used for my previous card in a box with bees. I think it's a very Summer inspired card
Hoping that has inspired you to try your own card in a box. Thanks for visiting. I love all comments and emails.
Have a nice weekend!
